Extremely disappointed with Nissan UK, Fish Brothers and the customer service I have received.
I am absolutely appalled by the way my recent vehicle issue has been handled.
I have a brand-new 26-plate Nissan Juke, which has covered very low mileage, and I have already experienced a serious issue with the clutch burning out during normal driving.
Despite the vehicle being so new and having covered so few miles, I have been left extremely frustrated by the response from the companies involved.
What makes matters even worse is that I am essentially being asked to accept financial responsibility for the repair work before anyone is willing to properly investigate the issue. I have been told that the problem is being attributed to general wear and tear, despite the vehicle being practically brand new and having covered such a small amount of mileage.
I find it completely unacceptable that I am being expected to agree to who will pay for the work before the fault has even been properly investigated. Surely, the first step should be to establish why a clutch has burnt out on a vehicle of this age and mileage, rather than immediately suggesting that the customer should foot the bill.
I have now raised multiple formal complaints with each of the companies involved, yet nobody seems willing to take accountability or take ownership of getting this situation resolved. Instead, I feel as though I am constantly being passed from one company to another, with no meaningful support or resolution.
To make matters worse, this has now been ongoing for over a week, approaching a week and a half, and I have not been offered a courtesy car or any alternative transport. I have been left completely without a vehicle, with no way of getting around, making it incredibly difficult to manage everyday life. This has affected my ability to get to work and, particularly upsettingly, has meant I have been unable to visit my mum in her care home.
It is absolutely unacceptable that I am being left in this position through no fault of my own, with no courtesy vehicle, no clear resolution and no company willing to take responsibility.
You would expect far better from a manufacturer, dealership and the companies responsible for managing a vehicle lease, particularly when customers are making a significant financial commitment and trusting them to provide a reliable vehicle and proper aftercare.
At this point, I have completely lost confidence in the customer service I have received. The lack of communication, accountability and basic customer support has been incredibly disappointing.
I would seriously encourage anyone considering purchasing or leasing a Nissan through Fish Brothers to think carefully about the level of support they may receive if something goes wrong.
A brand-new vehicle should not be experiencing issues like this, and customers certainly should not have to fight this hard just to be listened to.
Very poor customer service, very poor aftercare and an extremely disappointing experience all round. I certainly wouldn’t recommend based on my experience.

Now into the fourth month of Nissan taking payment for a remote service it cannot provide. The MyNissan app is an abject failure. Nissan has many thousands of customers who believed what they said about the advanced tech in their electric cars. How many would now buy another Nissan?

Nissan have decided they aren't interested in my case 02959001 and have closed it because the think 1 of the 5 issued is fixed (which it isnt). It’s been ongoing for nearly six months and five case manager. What about the other 4 issues.
Utterly appalling of the while rotten Customer Services. This is what you get trying to cut costs in Barcelona.
What about an apology. What about using my case as an example of how not to do it.
This all stems from a uttetly useless shark Nissan dealership in Grantham. Marshalls.
Catastrophic gearbox failure on a nearly new Nissan Juke Hybrid – shocking lack of accountability
Nissan complaint reference: 03140785
Having owned Nissan vehicles for years without issues, I purchased a brand-new Nissan Juke Hybrid expecting reliability, safety and peace of mind.
Less than a year later, my vehicle suffered a catastrophic gearbox failure whilst travelling on the M4, suddenly losing power in a live motorway lane with a child in the car and no hard shoulder. This was an extremely frightening and potentially dangerous experience.
The vehicle subsequently failed again before eventually being recovered to Nissan Reading.
Nissan’s own technical investigation confirmed that a premature transmission oil seal failure resulted in rapid oil loss, excessive heat and catastrophic internal transmission damage. The entire gearbox assembly required replacing, at an estimated cost of approximately £15,000.
An £15, 000 gearbox failure on a vehicle less than a year old.
What concerns me most is the severity of this failure and the potentially devastating consequences of suddenly losing power on a motorway.
Unfortunately, Nissan’s response has been almost as disappointing as the mechanical failure itself.
* I was left without replacement transport for nine days, despite Nissan acknowledging that this should have been arranged much sooner.
* Nissan refused to reimburse approximately £200 in emergency recovery costs.
* Despite the severity of the failure, Nissan declined my request for an extended warranty.
* I have repeatedly requested the full technical reports, diagnostic findings, repair documentation and servicing records relating to my vehicle. Despite numerous requests and visiting the dealership in person, these documents have still not been provided.
* Communication has been poor throughout, with repeated chasing and a frustrating lack of transparency.
Following the gearbox replacement, I have also noticed a whining noise when accelerating and noticeable jolts during gear changes. These are further concerns which require investigation and have done nothing to restore my confidence in the vehicle.
Despite everything, Nissan offered a £300 goodwill voucher, which I declined.
This is not simply about financial compensation. This is about safety, accountability, transparency and customer trust.
Replacing a failed gearbox under warranty does not automatically resolve the wider concerns, particularly when the failure was so serious and the customer is left struggling to obtain the documentation relating to their own vehicle.
I have now formally escalated my complaint to Nissan Financial Services.
Interestingly, despite Nissan Customer Services previously informing me that my complaint was closed, I recently received an unexpected telephone call with no voicemail or written follow-up.
Having been a loyal Nissan customer for years, I am incredibly disappointed by how this has been handled.
A mechanical failure can happen with any manufacturer. What matters is how that manufacturer responds, takes ownership and supports its customers when something goes seriously wrong.
Unfortunately, my experience has left me with very little confidence in Nissan or its customer aftercare.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a Nissan to consider not only the vehicle itself, but also the support they may receive if something goes seriously wrong.

My Nissan Juke is on warranty. Authorized dealer confirmed that faulty heater is caused by a faulty heater matrix two weeks ago, and sent an authorization request to Nissan. Since then absolutely no information from Nissan - dealer doesn't know what's going on, I reached out Nissan and they created a ticket 03179090, but still no movement or ETA.
In colder weather having no heater makes the car quite uncomfortable to drive. Very likely it's the last Nissan I bought.
UPD: reaching out via FB was waste of time, in their own words:

i have a year old van the battery was not holding charge tried to contact nissan but no one in the service department answers the phone, when you ring sales they answer straight away i leave my name and contact with 3no different service centres but no one calls you
back, I contacted customer service and all they could do was tell me to contact a service centre
no customer service from any department of nissan
update i finally gave up waiting for a service centre to ring me back and went into Croydon Nissan and stood by the service desks till someone see me and was told it would take 5 weeks to change a battery which meant i would not be able to use my van for work for
5 weeks that would of put me out of business so i will
have to pay for a new battery my self all ready been told that i will not be refunded even though the battery has a 5 year warranty and the van has a 5 year warranty so much for nissan customer care

Have owned a. Nissan leaf, then Ariya for the last 5 years but had dreadful online or helpdesk support when my electric car charging schedule stopped working in the last 2 months. Called the helpdesk 4 times( and despite suggesting I had a wait time of less than 1 min, gave up after waiting more than 35 mins on each attempt. The callback option( tried twice) to save waiting, had nobody call back and the online “chat” which is advertised as 5 min wait, in reality, has no support as I joined at “number 50” with my queue position never changing over an hour!!! Tried that 3 times! Come on Nissan, what went wrong?

Case handler at customer service took a few weeks to grasp that Nissan changed the car specification after the order was placed. Kept saying that his supervisor said we should have been told at the time of ordering and couldn’t grasp that they didn’t know for some weeks after the order was placed. And the score of 1.4 is shameful for an international company.
I recently purchased a Nissan car at Aylesbury Nissan. Thanks to the experience from Matt. He was welcoming and professional. He took the time to listen walked us through all the features of the car and additions.
He made the whole process smooth and stress free.Highly recommend 👌

What is customers service? Well Nissan don’t know what it is! They forced an upgrade to the app and botched migration of Nissan accounts to myNissan accounts now leaving me no access to the car via the app. I fill out the online support forms and receive emails saying I will be contacted in 2 working days, guess what no contact. I try again, no contact. I reach out on socials and say I will get a response. This time after 2 weeks I do. I reply with all the info they asked and then no response. So let’s call them. Wait on hold for an hour just to get cut off as soon as someone connects. Absolute shambles of customer service. I’m still without access! 2 months this has been going on!!!
Further to my review 2 days ago re Nissan Qashqai rear seatbelt stalk issue, I responded to the Nissan reply and called the number given this morning.
Long story short, the employee who answered my call was the one who had been assigned to my case and
again, I was told there was nothing Nissan can do and the case was closed!
So the ' reply' from Nissan is generic and makes it look like Nissan is trying to help.
I will not be responding to the next reply from the
company as it is a waste of time.
If I could give zero stars I would. My brand new Qashqai delveloped a fault within 1 day of collecting it from the dealership. Took a couple of visits before they were able to diagnose the fault then told me the part was on back order and they could not give me a time frame for getting it fixed. I decided to exercise my right to reject the car within the 30 days, 7 months later and I am still waiting on my money back and they only took the car back 6 weeks ago. Nissan customer services, the dealership and Nissan Finance have all been horrific to deal with and I will never purchase another Nissan again. I daresay if you have no issues with your car you will be spared my pain but they will never be held accountable for the stress they have caused me over the last 7 months, absolutely disgusting

Proof of Ownership tracking no: 03096156
Complaint: 03153743
I initially submitted my request via email on 7 September 2026, and subsequently received an automated acknowledgement stating:
“Your request has been received, and a Nissan representative will contact you within 2 business days (Monday–Friday).”
Despite this assurance, I received no further communication. After waiting seven working days, I contacted your customer service department on 16 September 2026, only to be advised that the process would take a further few days.
Having still received no update, I contacted your customer service department again on 23 September 2026. Unfortunately, neither call provided any meaningful progress or a clear indication of when my request would be completed. I was also informed that there was no way to contact the department responsible for processing these requests directly.
It has now been over six weeks since my initial request, significantly exceeding the two-business-day response time stated in your acknowledgement.
I have had no response to any of my contact us or emails and I see no point in wasting more time on customer service phone lines who don’t seem to be able to do anything at all!
Hopefully I might finally get a response this way!

Bought a Nissan juke from new less that 2 years ago from Maklin motors, port dundas Road Glasgow.
Were do I start I have now broke down for 3rd time for the same fault as follows
HEV system Malfunction
No power
Stop safely
See Owner's Manual
Car provides no warning and just dies of death once on the M8 motorway with my two young children on board in the middle lane how I wasn’t killed is beyond me
Unfortunately the garage is now vertu motors who are absolutely woeful at customer service, or service in any shape or form. So cars in garage since Thursday, I call to chase up today and no reply so have to constantly call. When I do get through “oh cars just going to get seen today” is it, is it really??
I have a service plan with car and the last time this happened they wanted to charge me as they couldn’t find the fault. Luckily I didn’t pay after horrendous pressure to do so. This car and this company are a disgrace and to be honest do not want this car back as next time I might not be so lucky on the motorway.
Nissan please sort this issue out and get me a new car please
Brian

I have a Qashqui E power hybrid which is approx 18 months old.
I took it into Chorley Nissan Wigan mid July with a failure fault with the E power system.
They have had to refer the fault with the "Technical" team however it is now 11 weeks since with no positive feedback. Due to this I also engage Nissan CS who have passed me round their team. I have chased them weekly for updates / progress reports but they cannot offer any answers saying "Technical" cannot be contacted by phone so cannot offer any updates. Chorley Nissan have not made contact wit me for over 8 weeks and when I have spoken with them previously they just say there is nothing they can do and have said other customers have had much longer waits. This is very upsetting and frustrating. I have also asked Nissan CS on numerous occasions what compensation they will offer however they have ignored my messages on this
I have enjoyed 2 Qashqui but tis experience has left a bitter taste. Any ideas what I should do next?

Total garbage. Out for a month for maintenance, 6 weeks later it finally started to work. 2 months on and still having issues, mainly my daughters and my accounts have been mixed up despite having no connection except we both drive Nissan cars. Nissan connect seen incompetent and unable to resolve the issue so we just go round in circles. This will be both our last nissan cars.
** The reply from Nissan is to speak to the people who are the cause of the problem. I've tried that several times but that's if they can be bothered to answer the phone. Normally says wait time 1-3 minutes, 30 minutes later I give up. If nissan take this series they would have somebody senior wanting to contact me**

Be very wary buying nissan EVs. Got a 6 year old leaf with 37,000 miles bought from nissan main dealer in York. Always serviced by them. The main EV battery system has failed. Nissan's attitude is that because it is out of warranty by a year it is just tough luck. They offered me a £300 voucher as compensation.
