A friend put me on to Next Energy after he had his solid wall home upgraded with EWI.
Within 3 days they replied to me and said that my property didn't qualify for EWI: they could do it, but I'd have to contribute. Bah.
I put the phone down, spat my dummy out and thought that would be that.
A couple of weeks went by. Phone rings.
"I have reviewed the photos that our surveyor took" said the voice on the phone "...and I think I've got a better solution for your property. If I'm right, your house will benefit much better from these upgrades - is it ok to send another surveyor over?"
Guy came, went. Days later I get a text outlining the plan, it seemed FAR to good to be true so I said "sounds great" I said. "Can we get started straight away then?".
This took 4 days, 5 if you want to include the post install survey (they come and take photos for their own records and ask if everything went well etc) so check it out:
>Trickle vents on my ye olde double glazed windows (mine had none).
>Humidistat fans in my kitchen/bathroom/utility room.
>Hybrid air source heat pump.
>New boiler (this is where 'hybrid' comes in - same company as the ASHP)
>DPDV radiators (mine were standard, not a patch on these newer ones).
>Smart thermostat controller.
>Solar panels (with 25 year guarantee!)
>My RIR has crawlspaces front and back, they stuffed them with new rockwool up to spec.
>Same room, they lined the walls with Kingspan+plasterboard. Same with the ceiling.
>Plasterboard came next, then the final skim (2 days in total). Very professionally done I might add.

I got a personal liaison officer (hi Steph!) that I couldn't rate any higher for being totally on the ball and professional, to help guide me along the install process.

My home was rated an E. Its now a C. Likely it has raised my property value between £15 and £20k. I am one happy chappy.

Had lads out over boiler and solar , they were great. Highly recommend, they were clean and tidy. And registering solar panels was an easy process

Solar panels been in 4 months still ain't connected new extractors not connected. Half the panels are not wired in. Had many different people come round and still we wait. So I'll take the panels down if I've got to. And will not be letting anybody else in the house to do anything. I pay my FULL rent and council TAX for this.
We will be making a complaint. Up to now it's been my missus in at the times works been done. I'm sure because she's a woman they just talk rubbish. I think they think she's stupid also she has to book days off work for them NOT to turn up on many occasions. This won't do this WONT be happening NO more. They'll do what we tell them and work around us. Like I say I'll take the panels down if I got to.

My god were to begin. We had work started March 24th 2025 the liverpool lads came into our home not caring about the damage they did. Floor boards damaged in my bedroom holes in the ceilings this has been reported with pictures no body interested. Then 6 weeks ago we had a team of men working on our house catched the one man urinating up my neighbours fence. They even put to scaffolding boards on his garden he owns his house. Our front garden has been used as the dumping site for other people's houses I've had several words with the workers plus the site manager. Our front garden has tarmac on it with all the weight of the pallets that was put on our drive our tarmac has sunk. All of this has had a big impact on me my anxiety has gone through the roof. We take great pride in our property and noe it's a big mess. Every day I've had to mop about 20times a day all the dust that keeps blowing in our houses has given my mom a cough every day our window ledges are covered in dust blow from the scaffolding which had been up now for 7weeks. I've been crying out for our home to get finished now one is caring at all about how this has made us all feel. Hated coming home every day to the mess

Where to start. March solar panels.Broken roof tiles took till June to fix. May had windows. Broke a tile in the bathroom broken vents and odd handles to the windows. June had the house rendered took 3 weeks. Started to repair roof. Left it and haven't been back still waiting. They use our garden for the dumping ground. Took rubbish from house over the road and put it on our garden. Not our rubbish as they never turn up. 7 weeks and it's still not finished. Had loft insulation only did half the job so someone else is finishing it Monday. Still got hole in roof where sewer pipe was removed so if it rains it will run down the wall. Drainpipe isn't anywhere near the drain. So it will run on the pathway.

Awful company. Since March we have been told we will get work done. They said funding is available and waiting for installation team to contact us. Now they are saying we don't have funding available. This is a joke. Disgusting company.

Where do I even start, so october 2024 Next Energy turn up to begin work and still now in June 2025 it still has not been completed. They turned up whenever they felt like and just went around the back, we would be sitting in the living room 1pm and they'd turn up to work and treat our home like a building site. I don't know if it is just us who think that knocking at someone's front door is basic manners and basic human respect, clearly they do not have this.
There was a group of workers who sat in the garden with a table and chairs and started eating there dinner, which by all means we all have to eat dinner but they was leaving bones all over the garden, and we have a 18 week old puppy who was then going outside and picking up these bones, clearly a choking hazard for the dog but they clearly could not care less and to top all this off one of them decide to go to the back of the shed and urinate which is absolutely disgusting, when we brought this up to one of the MANY so called 'Site Managers' it was brushed off and clearly not dealt with because the same group was working on the house a few weeks later again without making us aware.
Our back gate was left open constantly every single night until it was fixed (which they broke) which made us feel unsafe and was unable to let the dog out in the garden due to this also adding on from this, we had no fence panel to our left so it was open gardens with our next door neighbour, luckily enough we know them however our privacy was taken away from us, again for weeks and weeks, once again couldn't let the dog out. The carpets in our hallway are absolutely ruined because they did not put anything down to protect the carpet they just came in and out trampling mess all over.
This entire job has done nothing but affect our mental health, with family members having to seek help from the doctors, us constantly being anxious about wether the dog was going to choke on a screw today or a bone tomorrow due to them being dirty and disrespectful not cleaning up after themselves. It has had a massive impact on the family and again our mental health, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy and I hope no one has to go through this in a lifetime hoenslty it's been awful and it's still not over.

The metal mesh around my solar panels is dangling from the edge of my roof. We can't use our garden. I called in September, and IF someone came out, they didn't do a good job because it's hanging off now. I recalled a week or so ago and was told to send an email and someone would get it touch. Nothing. I'll just have to keep calling...

This company strung us along, and now left us without anything. They changed tack halfway through the process, saying we had a roof leak so they wouldn’t be able to fit a new boiler. Then they turned round and said they need a contribution, they obviously do not want to do anything, likely it would cost them to do it . They built up our hopes we’ve been left with nothing I would not recommend this company

Very poor company if anything goes wrong. You'll get passed around for years . Actually have an email from them stating it's not their policy to rectifier damage.
Don't be fooled by the awards they are Shocking you won't find a worse company. Look around there are better companies out there

From getting the paperwork and grants sorted, to the installation of :-insulation,solarpanels,airpump,radiators,central heating,electrics and carpentry work.
Every appointment time was met,and your various
workmen were a credit to you,doing a really good job.

Bit apprehensive about getting new boiler, Loft insulation, under floor insulation and a PIV fitted. The people who did the work where fabulous clean and tidy. Arrived on time every day cleaned up after themselves no ness what so ever .

Next did a great job. Had solar panels, boiler, central heating, roof insulation and a heat pump fitted. Was very pleased with all the work, all done over a few weeks because of different contractors. But, they did a great job. It's just a pity that the solar panels didn't come with a battery which would have been icing on the cake, kind of. The work was left in a clean state when finished, the lads were very sociable and friendly, the jobs they did were of top quality. I couldn't have asked for much more.

We have received this summer very welcome Energy upgrades from this excellent company. Teams of cheery Liverpudlian engineers and electricians have worked very hard to install the various items. The company was always available for queries and resolved any problems speedily. With no mess. We are especially grateful for the new storage heaters. As pensioners we will lose our Winter Fuel payment, so will feel warmer and more comfortable with NextEnergy's welcome help. Thank you everyone and best wishes xxxxx

Just had loft insulation and solar panels installed by this company, and I’m over the moon. The crew was punctual, polite, and very professional. My home feels warmer already, and I’m excited to see those bills drop. If you’re thinking about insulation or solar panels, I highly recommend these guys. They’ve done a fantastic job and made the whole process a breeze. Very satisfied customer here!

Had heating/insulation system fitted via NEXT ENERGY. They sub-contracted to DESIGN PLUMBING SERVICES from Wigan. Fitted by PHIL,PETE and JAMES (apprentice) within TWO days a complete and satisfying experience. Assisted by Steve (electric) and Wayne (bricks) I can only congratulate the service both from the fitting team and from the contacts from the NEXT ENERGY team. To all ...WELL DONE.

I had PIV Installed & this has significantly reduced the condensation in my home. Service was quick & lads were brilliant - I highly recommend Next Energy

I've had loft insulation, window vents, fans and bits taken off the bottom of my doors.
Also solar panels on the roof.
I am pleased with the work, it was sorted quickly and the work carried out when it was supposed to be.
The scaffolding was erected and taken away when necessary.
The men were friendly and explained everything that they were doing.
Before they left they explained again about the system and how to carry on with it from here.

I applied for the scheme to have solar panels installed and I was successful. When the survey came they informed me about all the other things that could have been done, including damp course.
Time goes passed and a technical survey has been done. I get a phone call telling me it would cost me £8700 and wont be able to have it on the scheme.

I have tried to get in contact with them for a written explanation and they are just not responding.

First telling getting ones hopes up about reducing cost of energy to no communication .
Very disappointed in how this government run scheme in this company works .

Brilliant from start to finish. Very informative from the beginning, reliable worksmen and very efficient. I had loft insulation and this was completed within a day, no mess was made and the contractors very polite and friendly.
