Firstly this review relates to governmetn backed energy rating improvement scheme going on, I was forced into accepting internal wall insulation and other 'improvments' to my home.

It's taken a very long time. It was badly planned. They are working in every room walls at once in a 2 bed property with 2 people living here I wasn't offered to be moved out or storage to put my stuff. The workies were good people tho. I've had to get several things re done but the main issue was planning for the scale of this work.

The upgraed extractor fans are worse than the ancient ones I had before also. They don't even clear the steam out of the bathroom anymore.

There is damage to some of my furniture, mainly plaster getting on varnished wood which was supposed to be protected. Bear in mind I had to literally try to move every item in my house into a corner because there is no storage or accomodation available, and still live there whilst work is going on in every single room.

Edit: I notice NextEnergy replied to this review. Note that when the work is nearly finished they send someone round to your house and she literally stood over me and made me write this review so I'm obviously not going to look for your response and my initial review was basically done 'under duress'. You got -1 for this approach before I even started the review.

I came back here to demote the service from 2* to 1* after having dealt with the aftermath for another couple of months and having the opinions of other people who know more than me tell me about how cheap and nasty the work was done. 

Also if my daughter couldn't have moved out for the 3 months it took to do the work I can't even imagine how bad it would have been and there was literally no interest in the customers situation beyond the workies sent round. Any planning had to be instigated by me and I had to constantly remind. NextEnergy make a lot of noise but will not plan around your life at all just make it painful. Lots of people will reassure you but somehow your worst fears will still come to pass, yes?

Terrible service. Reply to me again if you want maybe you spend the money on your job instead of worrying about your goddam trustpilot rating? Provide better service for better reviews instead of spending money on a PR department to battle them? CRAZY I KNOW.

Also to the reply to my review.. This is not customer service this is a review site. If I want customer service I will call you. I don't call you because I will only get more pain, is my experience. Replies here of promises of better service is cringy and immoral.

I was amazed at the service I received from Lisa, she managed to sort my attic insulation with an excellent company that did a superb job and whilst working quickly and efficiently also left everything immaculate. The difference to the heating in my home is immeasurable.
Lisa also arranged for me to have contact with others who might help me find allowances to which i might be entitled and also to access a blue badge which could be life transforming I am so grateful for the help I received, it felt as though I was communicating with a friend rather than a patronising stranger who was paid to assist me!

Nicky from next energy was brilliant, if there where any problems she'd always arrange to come out and speak to me and address them with me.

Next Energy were amazing they came at the time they said, fitted the new boiler and removed the old one. The engineer was extremely polite and a credit to the company. He explained the controls and the timer and made sure I knew how to work the timer. I want to say a big thank you to the staff of Next Energy for making this such a smooth experience.

Retrofit works to my property commenced 2024 and finished 2025.
The experience was like living in a building site. The main issue lies with your sub contractors. I was finding mess not cleaned up after jobs, I’ve had to repaint and re plaster most walls in the house due to scuff marks/holes in the walls/bits of plaster left on the walls. Some workers turned up at 7 am knocking at the door, sometimes not even bothering to knock to let me know they were commencing work, instead opening the back garden door without my knowlage that they were on the premises? I’ve got pets that could have been in the garden with the door open! Some workers were asking to use my electric supply on several occasions. I am still finding large nails in the soil months after work had finished. I think Some common courtesy and communication is required.
Staff at next energy were quick to respond to any queries and eventually get them resolved, although I did feel somewhat pressured by staff to rectify my review making me feel guilty? I was lenient enough to discuss and change from a 1* to 3* then given an untruthful response from them which I’m quite disgusted with. In my opinion if I’m not happy with a service then it’s my right to review accordingly. I have a feeling I will need to contact them in the near future to rectify their half baked work 🙄

Professional team so happy with all dealings nothing was too much trouble and very friendly ,would recommend to anyone, looking forward to a cosy winter

Recently had a boiler installed under the Liverpool boiler scheme, after months of my boiler being broken I contacted Next Energy and spoke with Danny who was a great help. My boiler was installed within days, very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend next energy.

Excellent workmanship from start to finish

I recently had a boiler installed. After what I thought would be a long stressful process turned in to quick and easy. Applied and boiler was installed with in 7 days. All of the lads that come to site were amazing and very polite. Customer service was amazing and I couldn’t recommend this company enough.

Next Energy recently attended my property and installed loft insulation, With being elderly I had my doubts whether to proceed or not, would there be mess etc, I could not of been more wrong, From the first phone call booking a survey with a lovely lady called Andrea to the install taking place within a week was amazing, the loft installers turned up on time, They were very polite and professional they respected my home by cleaning up they fully explained all the new ventilation that was installed in my home, I am very pleased and would highly recommend Next Energy for future works,

I had internal wall insulation fitted and can really tell the difference already so happy i should save on my energy bills

The work that was carried out on my property by Nex Energy was external cladding insulation. I would like to say, the standard was first class from the workman with the removal of old pipe work,replaced with new pipes and guttering. Had electrical work , workman were friendly and always cleaned up after each day . Would highly recommend this company,
