Other shops seemed to just have the pram companies they had deals with. This place had everything (even stuff we hadn’t seen before). Very helpful staff and a roomy store which helps for ‘test driving’. 10/10.

Each time we have been in all of the staff have gone above and beyond to provide us with information/options for us to decide on.
All staff are friendly and approachable and products are brilliant value for money.

Aneesha was great at assisting with a replacement car seat after mine was faulty. Quick responses and actions made me happy to have shopped with them.

After visiting bigger baby stores we were completely overwhelmed with the selection of prams on offer and also the lack of help from other retailers when trying to make a decision (with lots of questions). This left us really deflated on what we hoped would be an exciting experience.

Being able to book an appointment with Newbie was super easy, the store is fantastic with everything you need, including a fab prams track to try your prams out on, but more importantly the team are so attentive and knowledgable that we easily made a decision there and then. Meg was fantastic, listened to what our key concerns/wants were. She took the list of prams we wanted to look at on board and based on what we told her, narrowed it down to two, both of which had everything (and more!) that we’d mentioned. There was no pressure to purchase there and then, no time constraints on messing about with the travel systems. It made it a really enjoyable and exciting experience! Would definitely recommend.

Visited the Crewe store, booked an appointment for the Silvercross Event they had on. We were looked after by Megan, her knowledge was amazing, she gave us plenty of options based on budget and what we explained were our priorities. Megan was so lovely, we came out saying how amazing of an experience it was. Would definitely recommend, I see lots of negative reviews on here and can see it’s mainly down to ‘Next day delivery’ I am so glad I wasn’t put off by those and I would highly recommend others try Newbie and Me for themselves rather than reading into those reviews. It felt a very personal experience for us and we were happy to be buying from a smaller business rather than a ‘John Lewis’. Thank you!

I recently visited the newbie and me store in Crewe with no real idea on where to start with looking for a travel system, all of the girls in there were super friendly and helpful! They showed us through a few types and the pros and advantages of them and made our decision a lot easier! And being great and not rushing when the big decision of picking the colour came🙈 Really helped a first time mum with no idea!

Went here to have a scan at the place above, ended up having a nosey around the store and bought our pram! Staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble! Even when I couldn’t figure out how to put the pram down even though they just showed me 🙄

I emailed regarding my pram having issues. I spoke with Aneesha and she was lovely over email, very helpful and I have been issued a replacement pram.

Pram arrived very quickly. Looks great and was the best price we could find out there. Was a bit hesitant at first buying from a store I never heard of, but can only recommend.

My husband and I, both first time parents, had a great experience at the birmingham newbie and me store, during their Silver Cross Event, the whole team were so helpful and friendly. Scott helped guide us through all the silver cross collection, explaining and demonstrating the functionality and features and really spent the time allowing us to ask questions. We are so happy with our purchase of the Cove and would definitely recommend the store for the best range of baby travel systems and great customer service.

Awful experience with this store. Staff giving false promises. Spent thousands of pounds and still nothing to show for it 4 weeks later than promised. Causing us both lots of stress at a time when we really don’t need it. Lie after lie every day and not a single apology. Take your money elsewhere.

Unbelievably this company ONLY JUST contacted me on Tuesday!!! A full 6 weeks after we originally asked for a callback when our order was already late!!

LET THAT SINK IN

They were fully aware my due date was 10/04/26. I actually went overdue and my baby arrived on 13th April. She is now 11 days old and now they decide to call me to say my next to me crib is ready for collection.

At this point it’s not just poor service it’s beyond ridiculous!!The complete lack of urgency, awareness and basic customer care is shocking. They knew exactly when this baby was due, they knew the items were essential and yet they still failed to act or communicate in any meaningful way.
A call 6 weeks late, after the baby is already here, is not customer service ITS A JOKE!
This just further proves everything I’ve said! Avoid this company at all costs

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY. If minus stars were an option, they’d be getting them.

We ordered an 18-piece travel system on 15/10/25 after being clearly pressured into a “today only” deal—which, unsurprisingly, is still running now. A cheap sales tactic to rush people into handing over their money.

We were promised delivery by 25th February, well ahead of my due date (10th April). That date came and went with ZERO communication. Not a message, not a call—nothing. I had to chase them myself, only to be told there was a two-week delay. So unless you chase, they just keep you in the dark.

A week later, I called again—new date given: 9th March. Once again, that date passed with no update. I called on the 10th and was given a “definite” delivery by Friday. Friday comes… and suddenly they “don’t know” where the order is or when it’s arriving.

At this point, I am 36 weeks pregnant. No pram. No car seat. No crib. Thousands of pounds paid. And this company couldn’t care less.

My husband asked for answers and a callback. Of course, no one bothered.

So I went above them and contacted the manufacturer directly. One phone call. That’s all it took. Spoke to them at 3:30pm—items dispatched by 5pm the SAME DAY. Two items still pending, but unlike this company, they actually communicate and follow through.

So let’s be clear: this company took our money in October, did absolutely nothing for months, gave false promises, failed to communicate at every stage, and left a heavily pregnant customer completely stranded. Meanwhile, the manufacturer sorted everything in under two hours.

If I hadn’t stepped in myself, we would STILL be waiting with no answers.

This is beyond poor service—this is incompetence and negligence. They are quick to take your money, quick to pressure you into signing, and completely useless when it comes to actually delivering what you’ve paid for.

And judging by other reviews, this is a recurring issue—not a one-off.

Avoid this company at all costs unless you want stress, lies, and an empty bank account.

If you are expecting a baby, please save yourself the stress and go use another company, surely anyone else couldn't be as bad as this one. They like to portray themselves as a family-run and understanding business, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The owner clearly cares nothing for the whole newborn experience; they just care about making money.

We ordered a £1,100 travel system in November. I explicitly told them I had an order ready with another retailer, but their sales team promised us guaranteed delivery before Christmas. Based on that promise, we went with them. This was a lie. Their own staff member later admitted to me on the phone that the original collection date they sold me was "always wrong" and should never have been promised.

Starting a family has been a real challenge for us, and he is our miracle baby. Instead of enjoying the final days of the pregnancy, I spent them incredibly stressed, chasing Newbie & Me. They ignored emails and failed to call back. I had to call them over 20 times in January alone.

Our baby was born at the end of January, and we still had no pram. To cover their incompetence, they gave us a scratched, used "loaner" pram and stand, which was heartbreaking and embarrassing to use for our newborn's first days. Even when the actual order finally started trickling in weeks later, parts like the carrycot stand were still missing. The owner was consulted multiple times about our situation. When I asked if they could just deliver our actual pram and pick up the loaner so I wouldn't have to travel with a newborn, the owner flat-out refused. He insisted I make a 3-hour round trip myself just to fix their mistakes.

Even at the very end, when our only focus should have been our newborn, we realised we hadn't even been given the small accessories that were part of the "Ultimate" bundle we paid for. Shockingly, they hadn't even written "Ultimate" on their copy of the invoice. It was only because my receipt explicitly stated it that I had the proof to show they still owed me these items. I have no doubt they would have argued against giving them to me if I didn't have that paper trail.
When it came to resolving this, I had to chase them with multiple emails and phone calls just to get basic answers. Head Office initially offered a totally insulting £50 compensation. After fighting this, the local manager bumped it to a £100 store voucher. They made it explicitly clear that they do not offer cash compensation, even when they are 100% at fault. Think about that: after completely failing us, their way of making it right is forcing us to spend more money in their store.

The amount of time I spent chasing them to sort out their own mistakes is unacceptable, and their lack of accountability was embarrassing. They may boast good reviews, but please look closely at the negative ones that is where the truth lies. This company shows its true colours when things don't go to plan. They are happy to promise you the world to get your money, but once they have it, their customer service vanishes. Save yourself the stress and avoid them entirely.

Avoid at all cost.!! They are amazing at selling you the item of your dreams but the minute theirs an issue they are none existent. Ive been filled with fake promises & lies to the point I exploded as my baby was left with no pram !! I seen red.. I also did a chargeback with my back. Ameer advised me to cancel this charge back and he will refund me. That didnt happen I am now trying to reopen the case to do another charge back. Ive been told lies after lies from meg & ameer for the last week to get a refund for this broken pram. I candy have been helpful they collected the pram straight away. This shop is a huge scam ! Take your money but dont give you the goods. Please avoid!!! THEY ALSO BLOCK UU ON SOCIAL MEDIA 🤣
