Did exactly what you would hope
Did exactly what you would hope. I hadn’t had my policy for long but I was injured at work and I received no real issues with my payments. My only criticism would be that there was a lack of communication between them and me during the first 6 weeks of my time off. That aside, I found them decent, thorough and helpful. Full payment received and no complaints worth whinging about

Absolute shambles
Absolute shambles. Avoid at any cost. Sent them all docs and asked if any further info required. Been ignored for weeks then gave them a call and got and answer that they need sick note even on claim form stated hospital discharge note will do... anyways got sick note and send it to them.. guess what, being ignored again... its a joke how they even get any good reviews. Probably all paid for... so as said before AVOID AT ANY COST and go with someone else

I joined National Friendly in January…
I joined National Friendly in January ,paying my fees on the 2nd of the month but come May I noticed a different name Red Dot and didn’t know who they were so due to scams I phoned my bank to cancel my payments.It took me a week or two to see Red Dot was with National Friendly so I had to phone my bank again apologiesing for my mistake.I was a month behind my payments so apologised to National Friendly who were very helpful and friendly and accepted my payment for May.

Had a fall and got concussion
Had a fall and got concussion, off work 8 weeks which then led too back and elbow pain and total time off work ked to 10 months. Wouldn't pay out on concussion nor back pain as they said I had preexisting back pain. Had surgery emergency conditions and it was a different disk. So unhappy. Don't keep you informed and constant calls and emails to them.

The customer service was good eventually, the First Lady I spoke to was not great, asking some personal question, just to find a way not to pay out, the Second Lady was more professional and I thank her for her service, the broker who sold the policy

I spoke to calum representative of national friendly. He was polite and professional. I hope i dont need to use my sick pay insurance any time soon but he made me comfortable in taking this policy out to protect myself and my family if these finacial situations if they happen in future.

Communication is none you email then…
Communication is none you email then for updates and all you get back is a automated email.This is the first ever claim and they have cancelled it then after texts and emails its now back up and it wont effect my claim £72 a month see what happens next few days but after all the chasing up stuff i would not recommend them

Always easy to deal with National Friendly…
Its always easy to deal with National Friendly but this was the first time I submitted a claim payment request. I had a very prompt reply and cash in the bank a couple of days later
Unfortunately there was an error in the payment letter (a dental claim was described as a sickness benefit) and the letter did not explain the calculation of payment clearly - so I had to call the office for an explanation. Otherwise, all good
