Claiming was so easy

Claiming was so easy! All i had to do was give napo my vet detais, and everything was done. Napo emailed to keep me updated on my claim, and paid in under 2 weeks. Unbelivably excellent service.

Rachel was incredible

Rachel was incredible. She helped me do all of the necessary checks on Benji, as well as giving me a lot of other helpful advice on how to help him going forward. I found the entire process easy to navigate and the guidance I received gave me the reassurance I needed

Renewal rip-off

OK until renewal premium demand. A whopping 52% increase for a 4yo dog with no claims history. Corporate greed again. Got better insurance elsewhere for less.

Regarding Napo's reply below, we had extensive 'chat'/email exchanges where they tried to justify 52% increase with very flimsy arguments. My dog's breed hasn't changed (!), he's quite young and has had no claims or symptoms. Napo had their chance to review the increase but wouldn't budge. There's no point looking further into my policy as they had all the info they needed. Ship has sailed & I've gone elsewhere.

The best insurance company around.I…

The best insurance company around.I have my dog and cat insured with them for years.Premiums are perfect and lots is included.My dog passed away and had a big operation just before he passed of almost £4000 and was paid to my vet within 2 days.I also received some money for the purchase of my pet in which I could rescue another dog.Thank you Napo for your kind message.Badger will be your new customer.I received a beautiful rose and a card after passing of my dog.So thoughtfull.Thank you Napo♡

Awful Renewal costs having made zero claims

To be honest I never had to make a claim for my cat, so I never fully experienced their service.
I Went to renew after a year of no claims and they’re charging me another 50% on what I paid last year. Like I said, not a single claim made while I had the policy. Because my cat is another year older that’s another 50%.
It’s ridiculous.

They pretend to reach out but it’s just a standard generated AI response to negative reviews. They’ve not looked into anything.

So after a year of zero claims where basically you took a fee off me and paid out nothing I get penalised for my pet being a year older. This is not how insurance should work and you can’t have it both ways. It’s a total rip off with the customer paying out regardless and insurers making huge profits and passing nothing back to the customer, especially those that cost you nothing.

Thank you for providing further information regarding your case and being so patient while I get back to you.

I’ve had a look into this and I hope to explain this increase.

Essentially, when we’re pricing renewals, we’re calculating the future risk going into the next year and pricing it accordingly.

We look at things like a pet’s age, breed, gender, location, vet fee inflation and any claims made. We use these factors to help calculate the final renewal price. It’s worth noting that age can impact prices by 5-20% alone, with older pets having the potential for developing conditions which must be factored in. Alongside this, renewals are not eligible for first-year discounts, so a 25% discount that is applied in the first year is not applied at renewal. This can help explain price increases at renewal, as well, I hope.

5* Pet Insurance

My cockapoo had to have an operation on her leg, she had cruciate ligament rupture, Napo have been excellent, my dogs vet claimed direct with Napo, and no problems at all, insurance was very quick settling claim.
Napo were quick to respond to any emails and chat line
Highly recommend 5*

Napo insurance is Top Dog.

Our little rescue Dog Lily developed a vomiting illness. local vets wanted to cut her open but we wanted a second opinion and for her to go to the Vets training school in Cambridge where their diagnosis did not need such a drastic operation. After a couple of visits a diagnosis was reached by Lily having had several diagnostic procedures although this was a very expensive the cost was met by our Napo insurance.

Napo have been amazing this is the…

Napo have been amazing this is the second time I have claimed for my wire haired dachshund, they responded within hours when the claim is started on the portal and I also messaged direct with questions I had. They reimbursed me within hours of the receipts being submitted. I recommend Napo to anyone who wants their pet cover with an insurance company you can trust.

Excellent communication and quick payout

I had to claim last year and again recently. I wasn't impressed that my premium doubled on that one claim which the condition resolved itself. I am not sure what my premium will be next year because of my recent claim.
I gave 5 stars because communication was excellent and they paid out quickly better than other insurance companies l have been with.
My only gripe with Napo is my premium doubled for one claim.
Isn't this what life policies are for.

New experience of “happy tail”!

New experience of “happy tail” and a very unhappy dog!
I was worried about the eye watering vet’s bill that has to be paid first but was really impressed with the efficiency and swiftness of Napo and them contacting our vets directly for the invoices to be paid the next day.

Mega easy claim process.

The only thing I had to do for this claim was give my vets contact details. I was kept up to date and in less than a week I was informed that the claim was successful.

Extremely disappointed with Napo!!

Extremely disappointed with Napo!!! Already have my 2 French bulldogs insured for 16k of cover at £77.70 per month each. Recently added another french bulldog pup to the fold, obviously went to add her onto the policy and was more to insure her from 8 weeks old at £126 per month!!! That’s nearly £300 per month which would be better sitting in my account making interest also, building up IF we should need it . How can this possibly be??? When I insured my other 2 at 8 weeks old it was £36 per month. I contacted customer support and this was the response which is ludicrous

“ As we discussed, pricing is influenced by a number of factors and is not fixed long-term. Quotes are generated using a live pricing system that takes into account things such as:
The breed’s recent claims history across all policyholders (not just your own dogs)
The age of the pet, with puppies often being higher risk in their first year
Location, gender and general market factors, including inflation
Seasonal trends, where we sometimes see higher claim volumes around the end of the year and early in the new year”

I won’t be renewing any of my policies and will be going elsewhere, very disappointing to reel people in and then try and con them into rip off prices that make zero sense

Couldn’t recommend enough

Couldn’t recommend enough. Approved my claim same day when my frenchie milo needed emergency same day surgery. Unfortunately, there were complications milo passed hours after the surgery. Insurance were so compassionate when they were made aware of circumstances. They dealt with all the admin for me and i even received flowers and a card in the post. Can’t thank the team enough for the service they provided during an extremely difficult time!

Very quick

First time we have ever claimed in 7 years, Napo have been excellent, Susie had her operation on Monday , reimbursed by Friday! They kept me informed of the progress and it was super quick and easy, highly recommend

Can't even give a decision of claim after 4 months

Absolutely horrible company...Couldn't give a decision of my claims after 4 months. Had to complain through their website and still took forever to deal with. We now switched to a smaller insurance company and were so impressed by how fast they dealt with everything. Napo is just ridiculous in their customer service and feels like total scammers.
