I have had a dreadful experience with Motorfinity

I have had a dreadful experience with Motorfinity.
I enquired about a new Lexus NX on the 15th January 2026, I was informed the delivery date would be March 2026. I completed my order form on the 20th January 2026 and by this time I was informed the delivery date was April 2026. I received my vehicle on the 9th June 2026, very disappointed to say the least. Whilst waiting for my vehicle I had emailed the delivery team re updates , some of the replies very rude and abrupt [ the cheek of my asking for an update ].In my humble opinion Motorfinity are very poor giving out updates . Due to receiving my vehicle nearly 5 months after ordering it, my own vehicle had depreciated nearly £2000 from what I had budgeted for re the sale of my old car and purchase of the new car.
Will never use Motorfinity again

Thank you for your feedback and please allow us to apologise to you for not meeting your expectations at this time. Motorfinity are here to provide brand new vehicles to our eligible audience with a discount to give back to those who give so much to us. It is upsetting to know that we have not met your expectations and it was clear in my review of this Trustpilot, that you personally felt your experience of buying a new car was not a happy one.
I would like to demonstrate the updates provided were in line with our normal operating standard and will outline the communications below.
As you mention the order was placed mid January and on January 28th you were issued a welcome email from the delivery team. The team contacted you again on the 4th February as they wanted to give further information on the level of communications you would be likely to receive in March to manage your expectations.
By the end of February we were able to advise that the car about to go into build and on this email we outlined what the next steps of the process would be.
Mid March, we were in touch with you again to provide paperwork to you. At the same time, behind the scenes we asked the dealer if anything could be done to speed up the vehicle. A few days later we wrote to you again with an updated ETA for the vehicle to land with the dealer which was mid May.
On the 8th April we wrote with a Port of Exit email as we received notification that the car had been built and on the 29th April you wrote to us stating you were unhappy with the shift in delivery timescales and that you received no updates however it is clear from this review that information was being relayed to you at frequent intervals and alongside the changes in vehicle status. We acknowledged and responded to this email.
One of our emails to you listed the steps in the delivery logistics and on the 30th April you indicated that you expected updates at each of these stages. We wrote to you advising that we don’t have physical dates for some of the stages and unfortunately missed a greeting off our email which was sent without a ‘Good Afternoon’ or a ‘Hello’. We apologise profusely for the unprofessional email which was a genuine mistake.
Between early May and the 20th, the communications were frequent between both parties and on the 20th May the vehicle arrived at UK port which meant it was just a case of the car reaching the dealership and the final delivery stages. Ultimately the car was delivered on the 9th June.
Each time we wrote to you, you asked questions and these were responded to in a timely manner nearly always on the same day.
In relation to the delivery timescales, we can only relay information we get from the supplying dealer. We take guidance from them on the delivery dates and these will be estimated dates. Whilst it is a significant shift between April and June, transparency was maintained in all communications to you and we do apologise for any delays.
We realise that you had a forecast for when the delivery was going to be and wanted to line up the sale of the existing car so we apologise for any inconvenience that came from the delivery changes.
Motorfinity liaise with a broad range of customers daily and have to set a company standard for the level of updates given. Ideally it would be great to updates customers with their frequency preferences in mind however unfortunately we just don’t have capacity to make things more tailored and this is why we update you at set intervals, on a regular basis and keeping continuity for all customers.
It can seem a little quiet at the beginning of the process as there is not much information to share however we would still write to you every four weeks even if there was no update. At the end of the process the communications do naturally become more frequent.
Once again, we would like to take the opportunity to apologise for the experience you have had and we take on board all of your comments.

When vehicle we were trading in was…

When vehicle we were trading in was written off three days before sale. Motorfinity delayed the delivery whist we were paid out by insurance company and took a weeks holiday. The new Lexus was delivered at the correct time on the rearranged date and at a price a main dealer could not match. All the staff we dealt with were very professional particularly Faye and Fiona.

Really happy with my decision to…

Really happy with my decision to purchase my new car from Motorfinity - Olivia and Lucy were amazing in answering questions and keeping me up to date with the car delivery. Great communication from the delivery driver Craig who was on time and explained car features and Nathan who collected my old car. I am already loving my new Toyota having been a Ford gal!

Great experience

Great experience. Guided through process seamlessly. Considerably better deal than available direct through dealership ( and I checked). An estimated time for delivery was given with no guarantees but the car was delivered within this time frame. No complaints at all. Big thanks to Lucy and Cameron.

I would avoid using this company

I would avoid using this company, especially if you are paying the full amount for your new car.

The fact you are forced to pay for your car upfront in full before ever seeing the vehicle, leaves you at a huge disadvantage from a consumer rights point of view and from a financial point of view.

I have used Drive the Deal, Car Wow, and Broadspeed all with excellent service and way better than this company. You pay a deposit and see the car and the pay the balance with them after you are happy. A much better system.

I ordered a new car, paid upfront and had to have it insured for the day it arrived at my address. I was told it was to be delivered on a transporter to keep only minimal mileage on the new car.

I was contacted at 1430 hours on the day of delivery that the car would not be delivered, as it had been damaged at the dealership. The damage was discovered by the delivery driver on the day of delivery and missed on the PDI by the dealer. I was sent a picture by Motorfinity of damage, that I was informed was to the rear of the vehicle, a deep scratch and gouge down to the primer.

I was told the damage would be repaired and I would get a new delivery date. So I was paying for insurance and lost interest on the initial full payment and without a car.

The car was eventually delivered just two days short of two weeks later. The car arrived filthy inside with mud and gravel and finger marks all over the central console, with 29 miles on the clock. I discovered scratches down the rear offside back pillar of the vehicle. I checked the rear of the vehicle and could find no sign of the damage, as shown in the picture sent to me, it was soon to become obvious why not.

There was no explanation of why there was 29 miles now on the clock, but from the state of the interior it was obvious some one at the dealership had been using the car.

No help or assistance was forthcoming from Motorfinity and we had to deal with a rude and uninterested dealership ourselves. They eventually agreed to send out a repair team to my address, to repair the scratches. This was to be carried out in two further weeks time. They could not explain the mileage on the car, at this time, but they said it was much less at the dealership!?

So nearly a month with no vehicle that was costing me money in terms of no car, insurance payments and lost interest, plus now devalued by the increased mileage.

For the inconvenience I was offered a £50 valet and a bootliner.

The car was repaired on my drive, a month after it should have arrived in pristine new car condition.

So I drove it for the first time to a ceramic paint protection company. They contacted me shortly after drop off, to ask if I knew the car was damaged on the drivers door. I was in shock and immediately went to see the damage.

I could not believe it when they showed my the damage on the drivers door, it was exactly the same as portrayed in the picture sent to me by Motorfinity, but it had been poorly spray painted and not sanded back and correctly filled.

I had been falsely told by Motorfinity and the dealer this damage was at the rear of the vehicle.

I took the car to a local independent paint repair company and they quoted me £377 to repair the door.

So an independent company is quoting me £377 to repair a brand new car and a repair Motorfinity and the dealer had said was repaired correctly.

I made a formal complaint and Motorfinity and the dealership have completely ignored the facts and evidence provided, even the independent evidence of the paint repair company .

They now claim the mileage put on the car was to drive it on the road to the paint shop, and 12 miles on a PDI drive. I am not sure why they would think either would be authorised or acceptable with a new car?.

Especially when they couldn't even see the damage on the drivers door found by the delivery driver on delivery day, during the 12 mile drive in my car.

I asked for the £377 cost of repair or for them to repair the vehicle, and some good will gesture for all the financial loss, devaluing of the car and the inconvience.

I was offered the £50 valet, a set of car matts and a boot liner that they claim comes to the value of £200. That doesn't even cover the repair cost.

Motorfinity showed no support or customer service and just supported the dealership.

I have sent my case to the Motor Ombudsman.

Avoid them at all costs.

I am interested and astounded that Motorfinity and the dealership seemed to be wanting some recognition for the repairs, or should I say based on the independent examination, attempted repairs of the car?!! It is supposed to be a brand new car, it should arrive in perfect condition, they can spend millions repairing it and it still would not matter as it should never have been damaged in the first place.

We are genuinely sorry that your new car purchase did not meet expectations and appreciate the frustration caused by the delays and vehicle issues you experienced.
However, we feel it is important to clarify that Motorfinity did not supply, prepare, repair or deliver the vehicle. These matters were handled by the supplying dealership. Once the issues were raised, we spent almost two months liaising extensively between all parties to investigate your concerns and seek a resolution on your behalf.
While we appreciate that you were dissatisfied with the final outcome, your review does not acknowledge that the dealership had already funded repair work and further remedial action, in addition to offering a goodwill valet and a £200 goodwill gesture, which could be taken as vehicle accessories, a voucher or a monetary payment.
We also escalated your concerns regarding the repairs directly with the supplying dealer and requested that they review their position. Although we challenged the dealership on a number of the issues raised, as an independent broker we cannot compel a supplying dealer to accept liability beyond their final decision.
We fully respect your decision to refer the matter to The Motor Ombudsman and will continue to cooperate with any independent review. We are sorry that, despite our efforts to assist throughout the complaint process, we were unable to secure an outcome that met your expectations.

It is a big step making a large purchase on line, but we were very happy with the service we received at all stages of the process.
The sales team of Brady O'Donnell and Patrick Roberts made sure they provided us with all the facts we needed to choose our purchase. They then passed us on to Kit Matrix and Lucy Smith to complete the deal.
On any occasions that they were not immediately available, other team members were always willing to help. We found all of the staff helpful and supportive.
We would definitely consider using Motorfinity again and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Exceptional Service

From the first telephone contact that was made to Olivia Wise through to finalising our eligibility with Kitt Matrix, we can only comment with positivity. Olivia was skilled, professional, helpful and friendly and did all that she could to ensure we understood the process of purchasing a vehicle with Motorfinity. What can I say but WOW

What can I say but WOW. It's an absolute no brainer to use Motorfinity if you want a new car, I saved thousands on my new Audi A3.
The whole process ran like clockwork from Faye Warren sorting out the finance side of things, Kitt Matrix in admin and the delivery team of Lucy Smith and Fiona Bennison.
I was kept up to date right throughout the process, when the car was being built, shipped to the UK and the delivery of the car to my home address.
The named staff members are a credit to the company, they clearly have a great team work ethic.
Would I use them in the future? Absolutely 100%

The company is brilliant

The company is brilliant. They do what they say and are very organised and helpful. Katie Powell kept me updated all the way through the process. It was daunting paying online but reassurance is given and you can send a small test amount to make sure the action runs smoothly, highly recommended and would purchase from them again. Delivery driver was amazing as I needed the car at 6am and he was more than happy to oblige. Well done to all.

Excellent customer service.

Living in Northern Ireland I thought I would experience difficulties due to the Windsor Framework. I found the whole experience of purchasing a new Toyota easy and the staff I encountered in several departments very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Lucy, Brady and Kitt.

They organised a competitive quote for my part exchange

Amazing discounts, fantastic service!

For clarity, I am writing this review AFTER delivery of my lovely new IONIQ 5, all ordered from and organised by Motorfinity. I can honestly say it is the best experience I have ever had of making a major purchase, especially a car purchase.
There was never any "hard sell" in fact, communication, initially by phone then by e-mail was excellent. Each part of the process was handled by a different person, but the handover was clear and I was always confident in the best way to contact the team. The DISCOUNT was so big, my wife was anxious ... "was it a scam?" But nothing further from the truth. This is a highly professional company delivering amazing discounts and fantastic service to customers. 100% worth 5 stars! Thank you Motorfinity!
