love this app

love this app. it has improved my cooking and I love the feature that you can put in an ingredient and it will come up with the recipes.

Don’t subscribe

Signed up for a trial and couldn’t cancel until after I paid for a yearly subscription. I don’t like the recipes either so money wasted.

It's now 5 days since I wrote to you…

It's now 5 days since I wrote to you and still no reply. You replied to my 1 star trust pilot review by saying how sorry you were and to write in again as you had not replied the first time. Surprise, surprise you have not replied the 2nd time either. You took my subscription after 5 days of a 7 day trial and have refused a refund. This is fraud and I will not let it drop

Our free trial is 5 days when you sign up on the website and 7 days when you sign up through the app - this is clearly communicated through the sign-up process and at checkout and is not fraud. If you signed up on the website then your payment would have been taken at the end of your 5 day trial period.

Really poor customer service.

Really poor customer service.

Signed up and paid for a period of time. Believed I had cancelled my auto renewal.

Did not think anything of it - then notice a charge in my account. Reach out to them to be told I missed the 14 day deadline and essentially it’s not their problem and I should have read the T&Cs.

Explained I believed I had cancelled at the time and had not received anything by outlining that I would be charged again, otherwise would have made sure I went in to cancel. Also explained I have not used them for months due to log in issues (which you would think they would be able to check).

Shocking tactics to not notify you of the renewal and the say because you missed 14 days it’s not their problem.

Had similar issue with another company who confirmed I wasn’t using their app and refunded me immediately, night and day with customer service - guess which company I would recommend and which one I must certainly won’t.

Avoid, and if you do want to use them - put a reminder in your diary to make sure you’ve cancelled as they sure as hell won’t warn you when they are taking your money!

As per our terms, we are only able to provide a refund of your annual payment if you have not accessed or downloaded Mob content since your renewal and you request this within 14 days of the payment being made. This is in compliance with UK consumer law and in order to be fair to all of our customers, we are not able to make exceptions on a case by case basis.

We inform all of our customers at the point of purchase that they are entering into a subscription service that renews on an annual basis after the initial term. As per current UK consumer law, this information is sufficient and we are not required to send additional information about the subscription renewing at the point of renewal.

A useful/easy to use site for simple…

Have been using MOB for more than a year now. I've quite enjoyed using it. The positives are the recipes are easy to follow, you can easily scale portion sizes/ingredient amounts up/down, the dishes are generally quick to prepare, and there's a wide choice of recipes. The negatives are sometimes the instructions aren't clear/missing information, and there is no option to print the recipes out (from what I can see).

Brilliant app

Can't fault this app at all! I'm religious with my weekly meal planning and am not one to rustle up a dish from leftovers, so this app is a god send. The food always tastes amazing even with very few ingredients. Love the app update where they list the ingredients in every step. Amazing!

Very poor customer service. Unable to change email despite being a premium member and despite following their steps to do this. Poor response times and seemingly a lack of interest. Shame

BE CAREFUL I CANCELLED BEFORE THE FREE TRIAL HAD ENDED BUT THEY STILL TOOK THE MONEY AND THEIR ANSWER WE HAVE LOADS OF LOVELY RECIPES - NO THATS WHY I CANCELLED! In response to your reply I did contact you and was told we don’t give refunds even though I cancelled - very much an automated response that I’m guessing you have to issue to lots of people that you do the same to … seems a bit of a scam

3/5 this is ok….

3/5 this is ok but there’s a few niggles.
The recipes are good, we’ve tried a few and will cook them again. I find there’s limited healthy, high protein options that don’t use fish and some of the recipes are quite high in calories. I’d like the option of high fibre recipes to be available too as there’s good evidence to support a high fibre diet is beneficial for health.
An irritation I have is that I took on a free trial which concluded whilst the annual subscription was being offered at a reduced rate in January 2026. However I was unable to access that rate and was charged full price. It was very difficult to cancel the trial, so I couldn’t even do that and apply for the subscription at the lower price after I cancelled the trial. I’ll need to be proactive to cancel early as it’s quite hard to cancel. I’d like to be able to share the planned recipes and shopping list with my wife to make shopping and planning easier but the app doesn’t have that option. I’m not certain I’ll keep this past a year unless there are some improvements on the app in a few areas.

DON’T DO IT!

I was hours outside of the free trial and they don’t do refunds. The recipes are pedestrian and humdrum, their emails are templates, which tells me they just don’t do refunds for any reason even though they say they do. Sadly, they own my business and I’m stuck with a product with having very little value that I’ll never use.

Terrible Customer Service

My son signed up to the premium service on my computer without my knowledge. When I attempted to cancel and get a refund Mob refused to give me my money back even though I had never used their service and it was a couple of days after the free trial I had no knowledge of endedm

Disappointing Subscription Trap

I recently discovered an unexpected charge of €39.99 from MOB. I had signed up for a free trial via an Instagram ad and completely forgot about it—I haven't even downloaded the app nor visited their website once. While many modern, professional companies now send reminder emails before a trial rolls over into a paid annual plan, MOB seemingly prefers the stealth approach.
I expected more from a brand that promotes health and "life hacks." It’s a shame their business model feels less considerate than their content.
When I contacted support to request a refund, citing the UK 14-day cooling-off period, I was met with a generic refusal. They quoted Section 6 of their T&Cs, claiming refunds aren't available once a paid plan starts.
MOB is conveniently ignoring that statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations override a company's private terms. A "no refund" policy is not legally enforceable for an unused digital service within the 14-day window.
It is a massive frustration to have to waste time filing a bank dispute and writing bad reviews when a simple, lawful refund would have solved everything. If you're considering a trial, be very careful—they will fight to keep your money even if you haven't used their service.

No reminder about 5 day free…

No reminder about 5 day free subscription coming to an end. Contacted customer service and got a response from Charlie who was rude and would not refund the years subscription. I have not used the site once. I explained I am awaiting surgery but no empathy or willingness to help at all!

Mob do a great job!

Mob do a great job of posting recipes targets at specific things, as well as keep abreast of new ideas/trends on social media without promoting endless scrolling. It means I feel like I'm not missing out now that I've cut down my social media use

Deceptive Trial – Confusing to Cancel, No Refund – Total Trap

I’m so tired of these non USA companies that think they can just come into our market to rip off Americans. I signed up for a trial and immediately encountered problems with a glitchy/slow platform. Tried to cancel the trial right away but the subscription was not on my Apple subscriptions, which made me very confused as I was pretty sure I started the trial using iOs/Apple. It took me some time to figure out that I had to cancel through their website instead, and when I get there I was not able to click cancel because the site was so slow and the window closed as if it crashed down.

I actually thought their trial was 7 days and not 5 (why 5? Is this on purpose?) so when they charge my account, I immediately contact them and request a refund for $59.99 but they flat-out refused it even though I tried to cancel before the charge hit.
This seems to happen to a lot of people based on other reviews.

I obviously disputed the charge with my bank and will be reporting this to my state Attorney General Consumer Protection and the FTC (federal trade commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

Stay away from this Mob.co.uk app if you value user friendly platforms, easy cancellations and fair refunds.

If you sign up on the website then your trial period is 5 days, this is explained at checkout. Some users are able to get a 7 day trial when signing up on the app, however you must go through the app sign-up to be eligible for this. Any trial period on either the app or website is clearly communicated before the subscription begins.

Don't get lured in by the free trial

Don't get lured in by the free trial! It was very hard to cancel. Somehow I had two accounts and couldn't cancel the trial in the app. By the time I worked it out, I'd been charged AUD$70 and they refused a refund. Very disappointing, wish I'd read the other 1 star reviews before doing the trial. Customer service refused to help.
