BUSINESS OWNERS, please read this before signing up. Most of the reviews here appear to be from customers ordering food, and I note that these are the reviews they advertise on there b2b platforms. This one is from a café that used Mealzo’s EPOS system.

We paid for a till, an order tablet and a kitchen display screen (KDS). The KDS couldn’t do the basics, like showing the kitchen which table an order was for. Food went to the wrong tables or didn’t reach the kitchen at all, and customers walked out. Mealzo’s fix was to tell us to stop using the KDS and give us a receipt printer instead.

Other problems:

Menu set-up errors, despite our detailed written instructions (not read correctly for some reason)
No on-site installation or training, though both were promised
No way to export our own sales data, which can only be printed
Account manager calls that were promised and never made
The system was removed without notice, leaving us without a till during service

We cancelled within the initial period. Mealzo’s own terms say the setup fee is refunded in that case. We gave them a final deadline of 29 October, and nothing has been paid. We’re very disappointed to be forced into taking this to Glasgow Sheriff Court to recover money that’s owed to us under their own terms and conditions.

That means even more time filling in court forms, on top of the well over a month we’ve already wasted dealing with this company, time that should have gone into running our business. Choose a different supplier.
