All I can say is don't use this company Avoid 100% the Solicitors they use are shocking Carpenters tell you lie after lie thats if they answer the phone claim in November 2023 made muli complaints about these and solicitors they use Carpenters its now Jan 2026

Avoid like the plague! my daughter was involved in a non fault accident, they were rude, inadequate and completely useless, they told her the repair garage had to be approved by them but couldn't give her a list of approved repair centres and told her to ring around and ask!"!!! Then listed it as her fault!!! Braindead springs to mind!!!

Never again...

When my windscreen was damaged to an undriveable condition they did not help at all. I have been in an endless cycle of receiving wrong emails and texts from them. claiming I haven't reported when I have endlessly. The automated call handler is awful slow and doesn't pass on info you give. Call waits are long. Calls are transferred round endless departments. Most of the call handlers (overseas) seem to have a couldn't be bothered attitude. They have not even acknowledge a complaint with a timescale for handling it. They send links to a web form that doesn't really fit the incident but after I spent ages putting in all the same info I had reported and uploads I'd sent before it then told me to ring another number, but which went to the same automated call system that I have called several times, after a long wait I gave up. I am considering leaving them mid policy year they are that bad - I couldn't face having to deal with them over any further incident!

Do NOT insure with Markerstudy!

A van drive off a driveway into my car and wrote it off. After over two years of chasing and multiple complaints, Markerstudy closed the claim saying the blame is 50:50. They explained that both parties were insured by Markerstudy and they don't take themselves to court. There was evidence that the van driver had lied and was at fault. But they simply refused to take it further. Every time I chased they open complaints like a tick box exercise. But they do nothing to help you, Now I have a claim on my record that was no way my fault. I am disgusted with this company.

Disgusting company AVOID AVOID AVOID
My house was burgled violently on 23rd March my car was stolen but recovered, to be sent to forensics, it was then taken to a reputable BMW dealership where I purchased the car, Markser study group have made no effort at all to liaise with the garage, coming up to 3 months with no car still sitting in BMW waiting for this less than crap insurance company to authorise the repairs! They sent an independent assessor out last wee to make sure the quote was right! When they assessed the damages they couldn’t quite understand why they’d been sent there! They assessor agreed to the original quotation but still no correspondence from Marker study to ok the work!!! Everyday I try and call but I give up after being on hold for over an hour with no answer! This is affecting my mental health so bad now! I’m making finance payments insurance payments and road tax! NO car!! We’ve had 2 half terms off with my kids but haven’t been able to go over the door with no car! I’ve spent every spare penny on taxis and having to use a home shopping service for food shopping! What a absolute disgrace if a company this is!!! I’m going to have to contact the insurance ombudsman as this is totally unacceptable now!!!

In a reply to my last review about markerstudy a person called DALE replied to my review. He showed false concern. His only concern was public opinion which he was trying to win by voicing concern. " I will get your case looked at he said". Nothing has happened in three weeks . So people of trust pilot don't believe the replies on here from markerstudy. They are just PR and intended to fool the public into thinking they care. They don't care at all. I am a 68 year old disabled pensioner living on my own. My roof is leaking. It's been leaking since 11 December. It's getting worse and worse. The ceiling will cave in soon. Markerstudy know this and could not give a dam. All Christmas while those executives were partying and enjoying life I was worried sick hoping it did not rain. When it did rain. I was emptying buckets constantly hurting my back . Being disabled I sleep downstairs and I have to pass through the leaking room to get to my downstairs toilet. So I am slipping on water and am stumbling about half awake at 2am. Very dangerous. Markerstudy know this,but could not give a toss . They have clear evidence supplied by me which clearly shows the felt lifting up on the edges due to high winds on 11 December. They simply ignore the evidence and won't pay out. It's only £2600 for my new rubber roof. IAM not even asking for it all. A nice gesture of goodwill would be accepted. They made their decision on the basis of no evidence at all . Then when I supplied the actual evidence they ignored it. Terrible firm avoid at all costs

Knowledgeable Helpful Insurance Specialist
Had classic car insurance via a broker with MarkerStudy - Following a no fault accident that resulted in my car being written off, my broker & their accident management company sent me round in circles & I was becoming distraught & frustrated with the lack of action.
I got through to MarkerStudy & spoke with the most incredible individual Roisin Burke.
Roisin listened to me with empathy & immediately investigated my situation & obtained a resolution within 7 days. Roisin is incredible she is clearly an insurance expert & her professionalism & attention to detail is exemplary- After 3 months of being pushed from pillar to post Roisin of MarkerStudy provided me with a solution & closure - This individual should be held up as the example of professional customer service & going the extra mile to get a result - Brilliant Thank you Roisin & MarkerStudy.

Underwriters for zenith insurance

Underwriters for zenith insurance. Awful customer service. Car was sent for salvage 12months ago, still no payment. As salvage company have not sent them the payment they claim i cant have my money. They also wont chase the payment and have offered me the 3rd party details for me to sort out myself. What are we paying these companies for ????

Over 4 weeks since the accident (no fault) and I'm no where close to even have the car booked in to repair!
2 weeks to get the car sent to a garage (that was an experience in itself since as the car was moved by the police and they threatened to dispose of it as the insurance company couldn't agree to pay the storage fee!!!)

Once the car was eventually collected (I spent every day phoning them) it was booked and moved a garage/repairer.

The garage sent an estimate 10 days ago but Markerstudy claims to not have received it and the garage claims the have. I've phoned most days and every day they send a new message to the garage and the garage keeps responding that they have sent it.

And so it goes, every day, not getting any closer other than 2 parties blaming eachother for not sending messages.

Insurance is supposed to be peace of mind. It's not with Markerstudy....

Avoid if you ever want to see your car again.

I might need to involve the police and report them for theft of a vehicle!!!

Useless insurance company. unrated company

Useless insurance company part of marker study didn’t challenge 3rd party insurance that caused my accident; knocked and marked my car with underside. i have web cam footage of accident with 3rd party driver driving off! It was investigated but these insurance companies take the easy option because they’re incompetent and cost me more money putting up my premiums! i have got full comprehensive and legal protection i found out later that my claim went through on my policy because they’re did nothing to challenge the 3rd party insurance with too many call centres advisors who pass you from adviser to the next after wiggling through their automated system i don't advise anyone to get insurance with them, be warned this insurance is a under rated company!!! They even said they were taking the hit and run driver to court but never did?

Dreadful dreadful company
I had my truck stolen I got it back 3 days later undamaged. I made no claim They paid me no money, but they tried to force me to get another MOT test wanted receipts for work I’d had done for a previous failure and finally they wiped my no claims they’ve cost me far more than the thieves ever did they’re worse than thieves coz thieves don’t pretend to have your back these bunch of crooks should be shut down.

BEWARE if you buy a policy with this lot, you will NOT get the cover you think you’re getting. You won’t get ANY customer service at all. Do NOT go off the fake reviews from staff (none of their staff can be sent messages or friend requests on Facebook, don’t you find that odd?? If you don’t, you should.. it’s because thousands of people are getting nowhere with the “complaints procedure” or “claims department” and are desperately trying to resolve their issues and contacting staff directly… they take your money and don’t want to give the service. FRAUD…. Save yourself the single most stressful event you’ll endure, and take your money and policy elsewhere. Ps… they pay people to sign non disclosure agreements to shut them up on social media to stop bad press. I can prove everything I’ve said 👍🏼 You’ve been warned…

Avoid you have been warned

My other half was insured with markerstudy and a third party reversed into it at 6.30 am damage to o/side door.
He drove car 200 miles back home from Scotland.
Contacted markerstudy next day and made a claim.
Despite me telling them that the car had minimal damage and was driveable and I also had use of other vehicle if needed they kept insisting that they wanted to collect the car take it to a secure compound have it estimated and provide me with a hire car .
It took two weeks hours on the phone before they provided me details of there local repair shop so I could get it estimated .
I eventually agreed a cash settlement and got the car repaired myself .
I spent a fortune on calls and hours dealing with one incompetent after another .
The accident occurred on 9th august 2022 when I went to renew my van insurance my premium was £175 but on renewing this claim is still showing open as they have not received payment from the other party’s insurance.
I have had to pay an additional £185 in order to be road legal.
Made another complaint no 3 to them response back in receipt of you’re complaint unfortunately delay in it being passed from one dept.to them sorry will review and you will receive our answer within 8 weeks.
Honestly what a useless company

I was involved in a motor accident…

I was involved in a motor accident which was non fault on my behalf. The other driver admitted full responsibility and I had an independent witness in the driver behind me. Eventually my car was repaired and returned. I was given a receipt for my repair excess costs and advised this had to be reclaimed back from the other party’s insurers (MarkerstudyGroup) to claim this amount back.
I have contacted this company on a variety of levels leaving full details of the accident and the reference numbers.
Their replies are always polite but on every occasion no matter how senior the member of staff contacted, the result is the same, an email response that states “they are sorry, they will forward my email on to the claims department, this may take 24-72 hours for a response”.
It is now 8 months since the accident was confirmed as non-fault on my behalf and 3 months since I paid the excess. This really is disgusting in my opinion, particularly in the present economic climate where as a retired person I can ill afford this additional financial burden especially as I was not at fault! I worked in the service industry and have never known such poor communications from such a large branded company, their customer service appears to be non-existent.

I would give them 0 stars, spent a total of over 5 hours on hold, third party damaged my classic car, gefforys agreed it was just a replacement wing, within 24 hours the underwriters, markerstudy had informed me the car was a write off, and they were arranging co parts to collect it (salvage company) they also informed me that the third party were not admitting liability, I contacted the third parties insurance they admitted full liability and my car was repaired to the correct standard, 2 months after the incident markerstudy requested photos of the damage! Markerstudy (west bay) are behind many well known insurance companies DO NOT USE Them, check out the markerstudy Facebook page!

Very poor service

Very poor service. I've now been on hold for over an hour. I will NEVER insure with them again - Avoid at all costs. They maybe cheaper - but this is why.

If I could give zero starts I would.
Accident on Friday, car collected and then I've heard nothing. Can't get through to anyone. When I called another number and was asked for my claim number, I said I didn't have one as no one had been on contact, she transferred me so I could sit holding for the 'correct dept' and in the meantime I receive a text message to say my car maybe a total loss. Shocking

This company contacted myself via…

This company contacted myself via letter 24-05-22, regarding a motorcycle accident 28-04-22. They suggeted that I call them regarding making a claim. I have tried to contact this company by 'phone today. I spent nearly an hour on hold not getting through to an agent to discuss this issue. I have tried phone numbers 0333-043-6529; 0344-873-8183/4; and finally 0124- 622-3004. No answer from any of the above.
Does this company actually exist? Does anyone actually work for this company, or if it does exist, is this on paper only?
MarkerStudy Insurance Services Ltd should be avoided and should be investigated by appropriate authorities.
I will now look for another Insurance Company and take it from there.
