Absolute disgrace

Absolute disgrace. Booked hotel the hilton in Sydney. On arrival did not get the room ordered. Several faults in room not rectified. Refused breakfast by hotel. No refund. I am fighting them for it.

Unfair £100 nationwide again

Another review regarding the unfair £100 gift to certain customers but excluding 66% of actual members. Yet again criteria changed so myself a flex account holder with two DD,S every month. Money regularly paid in as well. Statements received each month as well. Do I get the £100 no I don't. My relationship is not close enough. They have paid £100 to 4 million members. 8 million are discriminated against and get nothing. Their code of conduct as approved by the financial conduct authority states that they as a mutual building society will be fair and treat every member equally. Giving to 33% but, leaving 66% out is not being fair and a contradiction of their aims and values and code of conduct. In 3 years that this share payout has existed I have never received it despite having £1000,S in accounts.i am going to the ombudsman yet again about this unfair practice.

Scamming con merchants

Scamming con merchants. Never heard of them yet they take 9.95 and 36.00 GBP off my CC in a week in April. Reported it as fraud. Did a web chat on their site but, the spineless bastards did .not reply.

Ohme don't answer the phone

Ohme don't answer the phone. Waited over two hours very important call. No one answered. This is a regular experience. No staff or staff simply not working. They work from home. School run more important than helping disabled customers looking for answers

Apple don't support it's customers

Ipad 15 months old won't turn on. Phoned up told to go to store and they will open it up. Went to store 30 mile I am disabled, had to wait 3 hours to be seen. Operative did not open it up, he simply stated £400 to fix it. Sent away. Phone up Apple again at home. They don't want to know. Ipad only 15 months old and that's it as far as they are concerned. £400 or chuck it in bin. Terrible uncaring firm

Lying, cheating customer relations

Went on holiday to Zante in June . Knew nothing of tourist tax as booked online. No mention of it before paying deposit. Single OAP Travelling for son’s wedding. Get charged €49 on arrival . Refused entry if I don’t pay. Nearly collapsed with heat exhaustion. Hotel don’t give a shxt. Just want the money. Get home and TUI AGREE TO REFUND IT 3 TIMES AND CANCEL REFUND 3 TIMES. also other issues ie no air con in 40 degree heat despite it being advertised. TUI don’t care about customers and its impossible to get to speak with them. Don’t book TUI complete liars and cheats

Many European destinations have enforced this tax, and whilst we advise this in our overall booking information prior to confirming your holiday, it would be the customers responsibility to ensure that all entry requirements are understood prior to travelling. Should you be unsure of this, you can find it on your overall booking confirmation.

You can find further information on the destination you are visiting on the government website for anything applicable to them.

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company. Had me on phone for 60 minutes then told me they were cutting me off because I can't pass security. I can't pass it because it's never been set up. Paid them for 3 years never seen a bill. Service rubbish . Tried to cancel operative refuses to process cancellation. Utter bustards penalising the customer for their mistakes . Going to ofcom

HOLIDAY FROM HELL

Awful experience. I don’t say this lightly, but it was “ THE HOLIDAY FROM HELL “. Got to Tenerife. Struggle to find jet2 staff. They are all outside and round the corner a bit. Get on mini bus . Jet2 tell driver right that’s it off you go. Get 20 km up road. Drivers phone goes . He says in broken lingo me go back I miss passengers. Drive all way back no jet 2 person in sight. Four people with cases stood on kerb. They pile in. Off we go again. Driver then takes me to wrong hotel. I refuse to get off as luckily I know it’s wrong. He sits there insisting it’s right. After a bit I manage to convince him I’m right. Get to hotel reception man hose very rude and abrupt. Asked him for water after hours without due to jet2 incompetence . He starts waving his arms about as if he is a windmill. Gesticulating directional locations of supermarket. Get to room gasping for a drink. Think I’m cracking up due to dehydration. Find several faults with room . Fridge not cold, balcony door won’t open, air con faulty, wardrobe dangerous. Phone reception he sends girl up. She knows nothing. Have to wait to AM for “ TECHNICO “. all night sweating like a pig . No air con and door won’t open. Don’t sleep. Like a zombie AM. The day goes on. Go to roof pool . Sunbed does not recline . You can only lie flat. They have screwed them all down so they don’t lift up. Found out some guy fell off and banged his head. So they have disabled them. They claimed to have fixed faults. Faults not fixed despite several visits. Very small ants running round in bathroom. Hotel manager tells people it’s normal in Tenerife. He has them at home. Must live in a dump. Same old tired looking food trotted out at night. Must be stored and continually reheated. Last day there woke up at midnight. Sick 9 times through the night. In a right state stuff flying out of both ends . Check out . Get to airport . I’m on special assistance. Left one hour on tarmac in heat waiting for ambilift. Finally I get on last despite being first in queue and am subjected to the wrath of other passengers and your lead attendant a very rude blonde woman. No overhead space for me even though I paid for luggage. All spaces taken with ridiculous size cases by people who had not paid in my view. Have to jam my bag with my medicines under the seat and squeeze in. Flight from hell with that silly trolley coming through every minute. Finally get off and stagger in to a wall.. asked for call from Mr Heapy and still holding my breath

Awful spiteful firm

Awful spiteful firm. 8 years ago I had a parcel from USA. A MAN FROM UPS turns up at door and asked for £30 cash customs charge he said. Told him my parcel was free delivery. He storms off with parcel minus £30. He goes back to depot north rode and says I threatened to burn the depot down. Complete load of bullocks . He was simply trying to get £30 to go in his own pocket. Any customs charge is paid online or phone after receiving notification about it from UPS. I received no such communications. So he sees parcel in warehouse from USA puts it on his van and asks for £30 at my door for himself. Told ups all this . Far east call centre absolutely pointless . He only tells his tale at the depot because he has been rumbled and is fearing the sack.

So for 8 years they won’t bring parcels to me. They simply send them back to sender or auction them off in Germany and keep the profits. This is what was done with my first parcel. Lost loads of money from retailers because they won’t deliver.
Two weeks ago UPS guy comes on my drive with a parcel. Unbelievable. I open door he looks at me and says your the guy who threatened to kill our depot staff. I said rubbish. He said we never forget at ups. I said who told you this . He said it was office staff. I asked his for his name to attach to his comments. At that point his smirky urine taking smile disappeared and he snatched my parcel back and drove off after giving me a two fingered salute from the safety of his van. Told UPS. Manager to call. No manager called . They’re all cowards. Terrible vindictive firm

Murky group of companies

Murky , underhanded and deceitful group of companies. Who are west bay? it’s a USA insurance outfit. I took my policy out with the household name SWINTON IN THE UK. I had no idea who Markerstudy were or west bay. Put my claim in because my new roof had succumbed to wind and rain and my claim is turned down with no evidence from them at all. Belligerent staff insulting me when I called. I am a 68 year old disabled widower and for two months I have had to tolerate rain coming into my home from my ceiling. I am insured ,but what for? They just pluck excuses not to pay out of thin air. It’s made me severely depressed listening to rain every night dripping. It’s water torture. Do they care. Do they hell. 100 % justified claim , but they are not budging. sent them evidence of lifting roof, wind speed 60 mph, wind direction totally ignored my desperate cries for help. Inhuman .

Swinton dismissed my complaint in…

Swinton dismissed my complaint in seconds. My complaint was regarding not knowing who the actual insurers were before buying my house policy. They stated the information was there. It was not . The insurers they use, a cowboy outfit called " markerstudy" have a preconceived attitude to every claim. That attitude is " were not paying out no matter what ". Swinton deliberately withhold the insurers identity until you have paid for the insurance. Swinton used to be household name you could rely on. Now they have sunk so low and are mixing with the cheats and scum of the insurance industry.

In a reply to my last review about markerstudy a person called DALE replied to my review. He showed false concern. His only concern was public opinion which he was trying to win by voicing concern. " I will get your case looked at he said". Nothing has happened in three weeks . So people of trust pilot don't believe the replies on here from markerstudy. They are just PR and intended to fool the public into thinking they care. They don't care at all. I am a 68 year old disabled pensioner living on my own. My roof is leaking. It's been leaking since 11 December. It's getting worse and worse. The ceiling will cave in soon. Markerstudy know this and could not give a dam. All Christmas while those executives were partying and enjoying life I was worried sick hoping it did not rain. When it did rain. I was emptying buckets constantly hurting my back . Being disabled I sleep downstairs and I have to pass through the leaking room to get to my downstairs toilet. So I am slipping on water and am stumbling about half awake at 2am. Very dangerous. Markerstudy know this,but could not give a toss . They have clear evidence supplied by me which clearly shows the felt lifting up on the edges due to high winds on 11 December. They simply ignore the evidence and won't pay out. It's only £2600 for my new rubber roof. IAM not even asking for it all. A nice gesture of goodwill would be accepted. They made their decision on the basis of no evidence at all . Then when I supplied the actual evidence they ignored it. Terrible firm avoid at all costs

Did not inform me who insurer was

Took out a home buildings policy with swinton. Assumed they were the insurer. Not told otherwise at point of sale. Brokered me to the worst company imaginable to provide the insurance. When I complained to them they just said the information I wanted was available at time of order . No it was not. This was the final response. Swinton household name like cox, Braeburn, pink lady all lovely apples, yet they have gone rotten. What a shame.

Disgraceful company. Should be taken to court .

Took my policy out with swinton. No mention that markerstudy were the insurers at time of choosing policy. Would have checked out this terrible bunch of con merchants And not placed my order. Buildings insurance policy and accidental damage. Roof leaking the day after high winds and rain. Felt lifted up by wind . Clear evidence that shows this . Roof only five years old. Yet they send a surveyor from their partner in crime DAVIES and he simply holds a pole up from ground level with camera attached and takes a picture of stones on my roof. He then declares its wear and tear after previously agreeing verbally with me that the roof looked in new condition. Clearly using any excuse to deny claim. Roof claim denied, interior accidental damage claim also denied. Total stitch up by bent company and bent surveying firm obviously paid to turn down claims. I am a disabled pensioner and I have been left since 11/12/2023 until now wading through water to go to my toilet three times a night as I have to pass the leaking roof to get there. I have to move the buckets collecting water to gain access to this room. Do they care. No they don’t. So while their CEO MR Spencer was feasting on luxuries at Christmas, no doubt having fun I in contrast was on my own in my house terrified that the ceiling was going to cave in at any moment. Water cascading down and me powerless to do anything. Good job I am not a brave man because death would have been a better option for me. How are excuses for a company like this allowed to exist.
