Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. Contacted them when my order arrived with a stain on the lovely wallet. Lucy & Yak were quick to respond and immediately sent out a replacement, as well as letting me keep the original wallet.

First time buying from them and I’ll definitely be back!

Abzockmasche

Ich habe beim Sale zugeschlagen und ca 8 Teile dort gekauft. Habe dann circa 1,5 Monate auf die Anziehsachen gewartet um dann festzustellen, dass auf der Seite des Versandes steht,dass das Paket angeblich zugestellt wurde. Ich habe jedoch keins erhalten. Ich habe mich daraufhin dort bei Lucy & Yak gemeldet und die Situation geschildert und bekam eine Nachricht zurück, dass das Paket beim
Versand verloren gegangen sei. Es kam der Vorschlag ihrer Seite, ein weiteres Paket zu mir zu schicken. Gesagt - getan. Zweite Paket ist ebenfalls verloren gegangen.
Bei erneuter Mitteilung an den Support von Lucy & Yak wurde mir dann gesagt,dass sie sich dafür entschuldigen möchten und fragten mich ob es ok sei, da sie zwei Pakete schickten mir nur 70% meines bezahlten Preises zurückzugeben. Aus Kulanz stimmte ich zu. Nun warte ich aber bereits 2 Monate auf meine Rückerstattung des Geldes und werde jedes mal vertröstet.
Ich denke ich werde zu dein bestellten Sachen auch mein Geld nie wieder sehen.
Unverschämte Abzockmasche in meinen Augen.

You may spot some fraudulent social media advertisements and unauthorised websites that appear to be selling Lucy and Yak products at a discount price. These sites are using our imagery and branding, along with copies of our social media posts and reels - so they can look quite convincing!

If you're worried that you might have purchased from one of these sites, please contact your bank regarding this transaction as they should be able to report the purchase as fraudulent and resolve the issue for you!

Disappointed all around

I have a few pairs of dungarees already so felt relatively confident that a pair of the short dungarees would fit. I even followed the True Fit size guide on the website to be sure.

Turns out I was wrong, the sizing is clearly inconsistent which is hugely disappointing especially given the delivery and returns costs (£3.50 and £2.50 respectively) means it’s risky to try anything not knowing if it will fit.

Yes, I could exchange without paying the fee but with zero faith that a different size would fit better, I’m ready to cut my losses and get a refund.

Given all this, I’m done with this brand, it’s not worth the damage to my bank balance.

Lucy and Yac are just such a lovely…

Lucy and Yac are just such a lovely company.
So helpful, answer queries quickly and go above and beyond to help in whatever way they can.
We have bought many items over this last year(only just found them and boy are we happy).
Love the dungarees and the bags are great too.
All my family(apart from husband wear their dungarees.
I recommend wholeheartedly Lucy and Yac. And if you ever get chance to visit the Brighton store, you are in for a treat. Luckily it is my home town and I have spent many a happy hour in there.
My trans daughter loves it there too. Very, very lovely people indeed. A lovely haven for us.

Speedy Exchange

Poor customer service

I live in Canada. There was a sale and because of time confusion I missed it by hours. I asked to be considered for the discount it was a hard :no". I won't be back and will be returning this purchase

Top notch customer service and lovely clothes

They sent the wrong item by mistake but sorted it as soon as I got in touch. Got the correct item a couple of days later and a pre-paid return for the incorrect item. Customer service is responsive and very helpful.

The boxy cotton/linen shirts are soooooo cute. Lovely quality material and nice fit. Something a wee bit funky but very versatile. Lucy and Yak are FAB! 💚

Misleading "Free Exchanges" policy

Lucy and Yak advertise Free UK exchanges, clearly stated on a banner across the top of the website. What they don't make clear, is that this excludes any orders placed for collection from a DPD Parcel Shop. The website does not state this exclusion clearly at any point throughout the purchasing process. Under the Returns and Refunds section of the website, it states there are exclusions to their returns policy, but nothing in the exchange policy. Only when you dig deeper under the FAQs is it stated, quite far down in the list of common questions/answers. I only actually realised myself when I went to use their returns portal, and exchange wasn't listed as an option for my order.

I felt encouraged to place my first order with Lucy and Yak, with the confidence that I could exchange for free as I'm between sizes. Sadly I feel their exchange policy is misleading.

Customer services have said that I can return my item to a store, avoiding the £2.50 cost for online returns, and they will also refund my postage cost. However ultimately I still cannot exchange the item as advertised, which is disappointing. Returning for store credit to re-purchase also isnt an option if purchasing a sale item, when inevitably the sale will be over once you process the return and issue the store credit.

Thank you for your feedback - we're sorry to hear you've had trouble with your exchange for a pick up point order.

Sadly, our system is limited at the moment as pick up point orders don't have your return address, so exchanges can't be sent there. We'll make sure to pass this feedback on to our returns provider in case this 'exchange to a pickup point' function can be added to our services in the future!

However, you will still have the option to return for store credit - this is still a free return option and has a quick resolution turnaround as the credit is automatically emailed over to you once the return label is scanned. Our Customer Happiness team would be happy to look into any issues there might be about the sale price of the item, just drop us a message at hello@lucyandyak.com!

We also have the option to return in store, if there's one local to you - as hopefully you'd then be able to get any refunds or exchange sorted the same day.

Great customer service & a great company

I had an issue with my package, and the Lucky & Yak team were incredibly helpful and kind in figuring out what was going on and finding a solution for the problem. I have been buying clothes from Lucky & Yak for several years now and am always happy with the products and service I receive, great company.

Re:Yak feels like greenwashing

I used to really admire Lucy & Yak for their ethical image, affordability, and what felt like a thoughtful, limited approach to fashion. But my experience with the Re:Yak initiative has left me feeling completely disillusioned. What seems like a great circular fashion scheme is actually pretty disappointing — it feels more like clever marketing than a genuinely sustainable effort.

I sent in two excellent-condition items, thinking I was supporting a community-driven, values-led program. I didn’t receive any kind of confirmation or tracking...no update in my account, no reassurance my items even arrived. It felt like sending them into the void. Eventually, I had to chase up the voucher codes myself.

When I finally got them, I was shocked at how restrictive they are. They don’t work like gift cards at all — you can’t use them together, you can’t combine them with student or teacher discounts, and you can’t use them during any promotions. So to use both codes, I’d need to make two separate orders, meet two minimum spend thresholds, and pay for shipping twice. It makes no sense and feels unnecessarily stingy.

It honestly feels like Lucy & Yak is cashing in on their ethical image, while behind the scenes applying the same kind of rigid, profit-driven rules you'd expect from fast fashion brands.

I've also started to feel put off by the sheer speed of new product drops and the growing culture of "collecting Yaks", far more than anyone reasonably needs. It’s beginning to feel less like slow fashion and more like a trendy label wrapped in an ethical facade.

Really disappointed, and not sure I’ll be supporting them again.

Thanks so much for reaching out regarding your recent experience with our ReYak program, though we are sorry to hear this wasn’t a great first impression. We appreciate how frustrating it can be when having to chase up a return. Typically our ReYak system processes returns automatically when the label is scanned into the courier system. Unfortunately there can be factors outside of our control that can influence this automation, such as if the courier hasn’t scanned the label correctly to trigger our portal. Though we understand from a customer perspective this can be super inconvenient.

We are also sorry to hear you weren’t fully aware of the details around the vouchers. When starting the return process through our ReYak portal, there is a section in bold to acknowledge this. For reference this states - A heads up that Re:Yak PreLoved vouchers have a minimum spend of £50 and can't be stacked or used in conjunction with any other discounts

With Yaks being returned, comes the costs of processing and repairing them (where necessary), so in order for us to offer this to everyone, for any condition, we made the decision to add the £50 minimum spend and limitation to stacking vouchers.
