I wish I never ordered

I ordered a desk from them, two pieces arrived damaged and I have now spent a MONTH emailing them continuously (because they do not respond to phone calls) and they say basically nothing, answer no questions and from what I can tell kick you down the line enough that they hope you give up.

I am a small business and cant afford to throw money away!

Title: Subpar Quality and No Follow-Up on Promised Repair

Our organization purchased 12 desks and two shelving units from Kaguyasu for our workspace. While the desks arrived and are currently usable, the overall quality is subpar compared to what was represented at the time of purchase. The desks also arrived without assembly instructions, which made setup unnecessarily difficult.

After contacting the company about the issues, Kaguyasu acknowledged the concerns and offered to send a repair technician. We confirmed on February 10 that we would like to proceed with the repair service.

However, since that confirmation we have received no follow-up communication regarding the technician, scheduling, or next steps. We sent a follow-up message on February 20 and are still waiting for a response.

While the desks are functional, the quality concerns remain unresolved and the lack of communication regarding the promised repair service has been disappointing—especially given the size of the order for our workspace.

We hope the company follows through on the repair service that was offered and improves its post-purchase customer support.

HORRIBLE

It appears this company filters out or removes negative reviews from their website and social media pages. If that is the case, potential customers deserve to know.

Like many others, I relied on the glowing reviews and photos before purchasing a reception desk. That was a mistake I deeply regret.

The company advertises a 6–8 week delivery timeframe. That representation is completely misleading. After I followed up, I was told my order would arrive at the end of February. As of March 2, I have now been told the item has only just shipped overseas by sea. That means the delivery timeline is stretching toward 12 weeks or more — nearly double what was advertised — and I still do not have a confirmed delivery date.

There has been no tracking information provided. Communication has been unacceptable. Responses only come after repeated follow-ups, and the information given has been inconsistent and unreliable.

If you are considering ordering from this company, understand that you may experience major delays, poor communication, and zero transparency. I strongly urge you to think carefully before giving them your money.

They claimed it shipped and was arriving in LA, CA in January 2026
They have no one answering phones, autoattendant just cycles and you can not even lvm - this company is an ABSOLUTE SCAM and stole our $3000

Do yourself a favor and dont order from these people

We ordered a desk in November. We have not received it or gotten any shipping info. Our business has been without a front desk for three weeks. We got an email on February 5th saying it was on the way, but we haven't received any further information. It is now February 16th, and after multiple attempts to contact them, we have not received a response. I tried reaching out to support on their website, but I didn't get a response until 6 hours later, when I was already closed. I just saw the response, and now I'm still waiting on them. Do better.

I would strongly advise others to avoid…

I would strongly advise others to avoid ordering from this company. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating and misleading.

I placed an order on August 7, 2025 with a stated delivery window of 6–8 weeks. It is now nearly 12 weeks later, and I still do not have my full order. Communication has been inconsistent and not transparent:

On October 1, I was told my order was “completed” and just awaiting shipment.

On October 13, after I followed up myself, I was told it would arrive at port soon and be delivered by the end of October.

After more delays and more effort on my part to get updates, I was suddenly told that only one desk had shipped, and the rest wouldn’t come until mid-November.

At no point before this was I told that only part of my order had shipped. Every update has required me to reach out, and each time the timeline gets pushed back further. What they advertise as clear timelines and customer service is simply not true.

This company does not provide proactive updates, is not transparent, and misleads customers with vague promises. I am extremely dissatisfied and feel I’ve been strung along. If you are considering ordering from them, save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

As of 11/3/2025- Still have not received one desk. After writing this review they responded that they had not information for an order making my name in their system.

We sincerely apologize for the delays and any frustration caused. After reviewing your order, we found that the email used when placing the order was different from the one you are currently using, which initially made it difficult to locate your order.

The delay was due to uncontrollable factors affecting sea transport. Once your order arrived at our warehouse, we needed to arrange a truck pickup. The tracking number was provided later than expected because the trucking company could not pick up the order on time. After following up on October 29, the tracking numbers have now been sent to you via email.

Currently, one of your desks is already on the way. We will continue to monitor the shipment and keep you updated. We truly apologize again for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.

I placed a detailed custom order for the first time with Kaguyasu and was met with detailed support during the entire process, including framework, photos of progress and both email/chat support. Although it was a long wait time, my desk arrived exactly as I ordered and the quality is as I expected. I will be a returning customer and am grateful to have found the right team to meet my business needs.

Reception Desk Looks Fantastic

Super happy with this desk. The quality is top-notch and it gives our front office a very polished look. It arrived fully protected and was pretty easy to assemble too.

Solid desk, just plan for a slow delivery

Product quality is top-notch, and the design is just what we wanted. Assembly wasn’t too difficult, especially with two people. The delivery took a while, longer than what the website suggested, but everything arrived safely and well-packed. Just be sure to plan ahead if you're on a tight timeline.

Good product, but shipping and updates were frustrating

I like the product, but I had issues with both shipping and communication. It took a long time to get tracking updates, and customer service wasn’t very responsive until I escalated. They apologized and eventually resolved the issue, but the process was frustrating.

Nice desk, confusing instructions at first

I’m very pleased with the overall quality of the desk. Assembly went smoothly once I understood the process, but the printed instructions were vague and some parts weren’t labeled. Luckily, their team sent me a clearer PDF when I asked. With better instructions, this would be a 5-star review.

Love the look, but had some damage

The desk looks awesome, very modern and sleek. But it showed up with a few scratches. They’re sending me a repair kit which is nice, just wish the packaging was better. Service was helpful though.

Really love the look and finish of the desk. Unfortunately one corner was a little banged up in transit. They offered to send repair stuff for free. Overall, pretty good experience.

Easy setup, slow shipping

The desk and chair were easy to assemble and look great in the office. But shipping was slower than expected. They did respond quickly when I reached out and even gave me a video guide.

I WILL NEVER EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

My experience with this company was awful!
First it was supposed to be shipped from the California location but because of the fires over there I assumed, was the reason they switched it to overseas. I ordered it in January but I just received it May 2nd. I paid for assembly and it was then scheduled May 9th. Then when the guy came in he had no clear instructions on how to put it together… so the assembler said it was one desk and one cabinet when it was 3 so he needed to space time accordingly so he had half done at first then had to come back in later that night to finish it. The assembler complained that some of the pieces were damaged. They ordered just a task rabbit to do the job ( I could’ve done that), with no clue on how difficult it was going to be.. I had a ribbon ceremony for my new office and it has been a disaster working with out my office furniture. I send all the pictures again to see if I get some of my money back.the first offer was 50$ I sent more pictures so let’s see what he decides… very hard to get ahold of. Started picking up the phones recently but had no answers to give. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN!
