I signed up for an IPSY subscription on September 22, 2025. About a week later, IPSY made an additional unauthorized withdrawal from my account. Since then, I have been in constant communication with IPSY Care since October trying to resolve this issue.
To date, I have never received any products for September or October—nothing has been shipped or delivered. When I reached out multiple times for clarification, IPSY claimed my address was incorrect, yet they never notified me of any shipping or delivery issue during that time.
Now, after weeks of me following up, IPSY is claiming the issue falls “outside of their 45-day replacement window” and refuses to provide a refund or replacement — even though the delay and confusion were caused entirely by their internal mistake.
Their representative, “Michelle,” also stated that IPSY “does not issue refunds,” which is unacceptable given that this was an unauthorized charge and unfulfilled order. I have already filed a bank dispute for the unauthorized withdrawal, but I’m submitting this TrustPiolt complaint to ensure the matter is investigated and properly documented.

They completely ignore your beauty quiz. The questions THEY ask to "match you with products you will love". I subscribed years ago and loved it, came back and updated my quiz a few months ago. I've gotten a couple of things that I didn't really want, but the Ultimate box this month was the last straw. $113 CAD, and I can't use 5/8 products. It isn't that I just didn't want them. I literally can't use them. That's why I said I didn't want them on the beauty quiz THEY provided. I looked, and there were at least 10 products that they offered that would have actually aligned with my quiz, but somehow I got 3, and 5 I said no to. I contacted customer service and they basically said "Oh, that sucks! Update your quiz, choose your 3 items ahead of time (which makes no sense, I can choose 3 and STILL receive 5 items I didn't want). We will give you a $3.50 add on credit for the inconvenience!" Like, what???? I paid $113 CAD and am going to throw most of it away because you don't pay attention to the quiz YOU provide, and your solution is a $3.50 credit for a deluxe sample??? As if. Cancelled, and I'm writing reviews EVERYWHERE.
*Edit to add, I was already in touch with customer service when I left this review. They were not able to solve the issue at all, I told them I wasn't going to order another bag full of items that don't correlate to the beauty quiz JUST to get a $3.50 credit. I didn't want consolation credits. I was actually hoping we could swap items, as I reached out the day the sneak preview was available, before they even started preparing it to ship. They told me "the algorithm isn't perfect". I understand that, but their whole thing is "personalized beauty products". I am not the only person that has issues with this algorithm. Obviously it doesn't work well, it hasn't for a few years and they won't fix it. I'm adding this edit because I see the business has responded but I've already been in touch and they were not able to fix the problem in any way shape or form and I highly doubt contacting them again would change the result. This subscription is not for me, I have already cancelled everything.

I’m new to Ipsy but will be canceling. Maybe I’m just old but signing up was confusing. I ended up somehow subscribing for things I didn’t want. All I wanted was the Ipsy extra and ended up with an Ipsy bag and a box coming in February that i didn’t want. Also I get too many makeup products even though in my personalization quiz I said I hardly wear makeup

Going downhill fast, I requested follow up from chat bot and only got a link to review service. I have been a customer for almost 10 years and it seems lately shipping issues are becoming way too frequent Some boxes came with missing items or broken. Now they are not getting to me at all. There has to be a better solution than offering accommodation order that may or may not be items I selected. Maybe get a shipping partner that is reliable would probably be a first step. I don’t want to have to take time to file claims to get what I paid for, or worse get things I don’t want or nothing at all.

I signed up with Ipsy the end of September. I customized my box for October and it was mailed on October 3rd. It never was delivered. After going round and round with Ipsy they finally sent out another box. None of the items I selected were in the box. The items they sent me are clearly NOT going to work for my skin tone. I have never been so disgusted with a company. Never again Ipsy….never again.

Ive been with ipsy since years and always order extra and share it with my mates despite being s poor student st university and parti time model because i have skin issues and these discount for high quality products the only thing that leave ny skin condition under control and my dermatologist approved it. Recently I faced some issues with Ispy and a order that never arrived. They did not even offered points as compensation or anything just a partis' refund .. i am seriously thinking of quitting my membership and go for competitor Allure who made me an offer and offer better tracking options and better customer service.
I was hoping way more from Ipsy.. I felt really misunderstood and ignored..
It was for my friend birthday and its a month late..

They took $105 of my money for an ultimate box and my normal monthly shipment I never received either. They dodged and delayed contact until a time limit ran out. Now they say I’m just out of luck. I’m filing a complaint with BBB. I Would never talk anyone u toning this rip off company.

I used to love and get excited for the 1st of the month when I got to choose my items and see what ipsy picked for me. That was a long time ago I guess. Now, I feel dumb for spending $ on stuff I dont want and paying more for add ons for the items I wish would have been a choice. The selection in one of the choices is always great and I want 3 out of 6 items at least but then the next bracket is 4 choices I dont like at all and the next is 4 more choices I am thinking i wish I could throw back and get a retry. I have 2 subscriptions on 2 accounts. For one of them I do icon /ultimate. The icon box has been so ridiculous. Its expensive for them to choose things I could get at Walgreens for $5 or even the brand says the item is worthless. They say "Natasha denona " for the icon but then i got 1 item from her line and my boxycharm got an item from her line too so what is the difference? I loved the pallette I got but I could have gone to sephora cheaper and gotten that and other items I actually like plus walked out of the store with them. This time I had boxycharm $36 ultimate $68 beauty boost $15 & my add ons $110. The only items I were truly happy to get were the one eyeshadow pallette they allowed me and the add ons. I literally got 4 picks for the beautyboost that were previous shop items that they clearanced. If ipsy doesnt care about our profile choices then why have us do them? If it have 2 profiles with extreme differences and still upsy picks the EXACT same items for both. And the choices they pick and allow me to pick are the same exact ones for 2 very different profile so that tells me they just get rid of products and dump them on us for cheap ways to fill the boxes. I get that ipsy needs to make $ but they will lose customers for sending people like me an eyebrow pencil every box including icon. Its just not worth it anymore. It wasnt always like this. Wish they would go back to the way it used to be. Ill be canceling this time.

I canceled my Ipsy subscription, but they still charged me afterward. I confirmed the cancellation and expected no further charges, yet they billed me anyway. Customer service was unhelpful and refused to make it right. It feels dishonest and disrespectful to customers who follow their cancellation process correctly. I won’t be using Ipsy again and recommend others stay away unless they want to deal with surprise charges.

I get a lot of the same types of products and haven’t been impressed with too many. I will definitely be canceling when I’m up for renewal. I have also had issues ordering “add ons” on more than a few occasions, with this last time the order never coming at all. To make it right they sent me a replacement order without 2 of the products I actually wanted and refunded me instead because after the 3 weeks it took to acknowledge my package was lost- the products were no longer available. Also it is almost impossible to reach customer service.

It is very hectic and frustrating for me to communicate with Ipsy and explain that I didn’t receive my October Ipsy box. I inquired so many times, but someone just sent one thing instead of my five things for my October box. It is very disappointed. I lost my money for October and got nothing.

I’ve had ipsy for over 3 years now, and this is the worst the company has been. I’ve dealt with issues with them in the past. Yet the most recent issue is the shipping. I never received my package and reaching out to customer service can be hard. They have a chatbot that is so annoying to deal with. It bugs out constantly, and won’t even let me file i report at all because of it. When i FINALLY was able to. I had to wait 3 more days for an answer from support. They said the sent an accommodation package after 4 weeks+ and said my package would include different items than what i have originally ordered, and that I would not be getting my add ons, or the glam boost, which i was most excited for. It’s been a week since my accommodation order has shipped, and they said they would make it a fast delivery. It’s been a week since the support and it says it’ll hopefully arrive in another week. Doesn’t seem very expedite. Until i receive my package i can give an update but so far nothing. Also the prices are jacked up. I understand inflation but I feel like they are taking advantage of it and going overboard. I wish they had a different shipping partner because that seems to be the issue as well. As for products chosen for you, It does not match at all what my preferences are. I do NOT use some products that are sent and make it very clear that i “rarely “ use them in the quiz about your preferences. Lastly I wish Boxycharm and Ipsy stayed separate. I enjoyed their products, service and quality more.
