I lost 4 months of work because of their failure

I lost 4 months of work because of their failure.

My VPS suddenly went down due to a disk failure on their server. Problems can happen, fine. But what’s unacceptable is that there are no backups at all, and according to them, the data is “unrecoverable”.

In other words: I lost absolutely everything.

The support was even worse. The staff member Vadim C. (System Administrator) was extremely aggressive and disrespectful. Instead of helping, he accused me of using ChatGPT and threatened to close my account.

This is the exact message I received:

"LISTEN TO ME. Stop sending CHATGPT long replies. If you continue to send rubbish AI messages I will close your account.
Now listen I am going to say this ONCE only. Email notification is AUTOMATED EMAIL once service is cancelled we cancelled it because OF DISK FAILURE, we cannot put reason when we cancel.
NOW you have option as PER SERVICE AGREEMENT

If you send message using chatgpt one more time I will close your account"

And in the end, that’s exactly what happened: my account was deleted, simply because I replied asking for explanations.

No real attempt to help, no empathy, no technical effort — just aggressive responses and account termination.

The only “solution” offered was to create a new VPS and get 1 extra month.

We are talking about a project with over 4 months of continuous work, lost due to their infrastructure failure — and that was their response.

Yes, they state in their terms that they don’t provide backups. But that does not change the fact that:

there is no basic redundancy
there is no protection against disk failure
and the support is completely unprofessional and disrespectful

If you are considering using them, be aware:
👉 if something goes wrong, you are completely on your own
👉 you can lose everything
👉 and you may be treated like this by support

Extremely negative experience.

Hello,

It looks like there is a communication problem between you and our support team. Most of what you wrote seems incorrect, especially the message you said our support sent. From what we can see, you wrote to us in another language and we had to translate it using Google. We replied in English, but your translation may have changed the meaning and made it sound negative, which was not our intention.

There was a disk failure on your server. Because of this, we created a new VPS for you with the same remaining time, plus one extra month. However, it seems you have not accepted or used the new VPS, possibly because you did not make backups of your data.

Please understand how our service works. We are an offshore hosting provider. This means we do not log, store, or back up your data. This is important to protect your privacy. We clearly explain this in our service agreement, activation emails, and in the VPS panel.

It is your responsibility to always keep backups of your data. We do not provide backups because that would mean storing and handling your data, which goes against our privacy policy.

About the support reply you mentioned, we did not send anything like that. The message looks quite harsh. We understand you may be upset about your data, but please keep communication respectful. It is likely your translation was not accurate. We can provide screenshots if needed. We are not sure if this is a misunderstanding or most likely translations in you local language was changed.

Please continue communication through the ticket system. We are still waiting for your response about the new VPS.

Using hostcay from 1 year , I can say hostcay is the one of best hosting provider out there on all hosting providers , I don't see any down time , servers are fast even in small shared tier server perform like vps , they have free ddos protection , and main thing support team is very nice they are there for anytime , best part is that they even offered me vps upgrade free for 1 month , just to check I am comfortable with vps or not . So I can say that hostcay is one of the best host . Keep up the good work hostcay team.
