Three members of my family became…

Three members of my family became seriously ill after eating a HelloFresh meal.
Very disappointing experience.
I immediately reported the incident. HelloFresh refunded the box and opened an investigation, but I then waited over 6 weeks for an outcome. I had to repeatedly chase for updates and was even promised a response within a week, which never came.

Eventually, I received a generic email saying they could not identify the cause. While I appreciate the refund, I am extremely disappointed with how such a serious food safety concern was handled and with the lack of communication.

After this experience, I have completely lost confidence in HelloFresh And I can not recomend this service .
PS: After my review, HelloFresh invited me to contact Customer Care “to come to a resolution together.” When I did, I was informed that the case was already closed and no further resolution would be offered. While I appreciate the refund for the box, I remain disappointed with how this serious complaint was handled.

Still enjoying Hello Fresh, two months in

A couple of months in, still enjoying it - the variety and quality of ingredients and meals, easy to follow recipes, great to have all ingredients you need for a meal, portioned out. So convenient, but you're still cooking from scratch. Delivery always prompt and in good condition.

Delayed delivery, slow customer service, missing item but good food

First box was delayed with no notice until the day of delivery, which caused significant inconvenience as I had planned meals around the original date and was not home when it was delivered.

Customer service was slow to respond and the only resolution offered was a €10 goodwill gesture.

When the box arrived, one item (overnight porridge oats) was missing.

The food quality itself has been good — the Cajun prawns were fresh, tasty, and easy to cook with good portion sizes.

It is great that the service uses 100% Irish chicken, beef, pork and lamb as advertised. However, the seafood was not locally sourced, including Norwegian salmon and Vietnam-sourced prawns.

Review 2026. Over the year I have had Hello Fresh

Over the year I have had Hello Fresh, it has generally been excellent. I like the recipes. They are easy to follow, use good quality produce and are tasty. On occasion, packages are damaged or sometimes the veg is not as fresh as I would like. Thankfully, this is rare. Also, the packets for the spices have been changed so they don’t get damp anymore. Unfortunately, this week for the first time my box was postponed. This has never happened before and I hope this is a once off.

Choice of proteins

I love the food but if I forget to choose the meals I don't like the choices as we don't eat meat so I think vegetarian or fish options should be on the menus for us

Very disappointed

I had cancelled my HelloFresh subscription over two months ago, yet money was still being taken from my account. When I contacted customer service to explain the situation, I was simply told that the box had already been dispatched and that I would have to pay for it anyway, despite the fact that my account had been cancelled.

This has been a very frustrating experience. A company should have proper systems in place to ensure that cancelled subscriptions are actually cancelled and that customers aren’t charged for orders they never intended to receive. Instead of taking responsibility for the mistake, I felt like my concerns were dismissed.

I won’t be using HelloFresh again and wouldn’t recommend the service based on my experience.

Very bad service

Very bad service, ordered food from them a couple of times, then cancelled the account, and they are constantly trying to withdraw 70 euros. And they say that they sent us food and that we would pay money, and we did not order anything else, I categorically do not recommend this site.

We had used the service a few years ago…

We had used the service a few years ago and we didnt love it. But it has drastically changed in terms of variety of foods, quality is so much better. Recipes are so tasty and easy to make. Id be lost without it now! Absolutely love the meals, great portion size too.

Has really made a difference with…

Has really made a difference with convenience as well as reducing food waste.
I love how there is options for huge variety and our 2 young kids are more adventurous now.
Would highly recommend for busy working families who want everything easy to make good meals.

Starter discounts are great but big difference in price when these run out.
Suggestion would be to extend recipes options when paying full price.

Terrible staff

Terrible staff, sent to the wrong address and then blamed me as their eircode system was wrong. Refused to then send another box or refund in a timely manner.
