Dealt with a lady named poppy regarding issue with charger at Strensham services, extremely professional in her job and concluded with an unexpected refund, first class service from a first class company.
Great fast chargers, BUT very expensive!
Great fast chargers, easy to use with the app, However, I always feel that the charges are too high. £0.89p per KWh equates is 12.9 times higher than my home charging rate. Whilst I accept that there is a price to pay for the convenience of fast charging on the motorway and cross country routes, your charges equate to £78.32 to fully charge my 88Kw battery for a WLTP range of 370 miles and a real world range of 265 miles. I could fill an average petrol car capable of 40mpg with 6.625 litres of petrol to cover 265 miles @ £1.80 per litre (£8.18 a gallon) for £54.21, so I feel that your pricing (and that of your competitors) is penalising EV drivers and putting off people from EV uptake.

Always a nice experience when we stop to charge up the vehicle. So clean & a calming atmosphere. Costa staff are polite & friendly. Got chatting to Robin one of Gridserves managers who welcomed our puppy with a pup-cup & a big bowl of fresh water. Lovely friendly gentleman. Thank you.
Gridserve con
I downloaded the gridserve app after putting in a search on Google for it where it said if you pay thro the app you get a 20% discount on your charging it even gave a direct link to download the app. This isn't correct and you dont get a discount making the app pointless installing. I contacted customer service they were about as much use as the app. Very misleading!!

Well what a fabulous Sunday team. All kind and jolly. I'm giving the same feedback to all 3 of the team as they worked together so well. These Costa colleagues made delicious Frappes for myself and my boys. They carefully marked our cups so we knew which was which, and when I asked for a smiley face to be drawn they happily drew one. Thank you for the banter, and the drinks.
On the M4 East and there are multiple…
On the M4 East and there are multiple services where Grid serve is the onky option. In one service station there was 1 wprkimg charger and 2 own charger station. At another service station 50% were down. Had to come off the M4 and use the services at Chiveley on the A34. Maintain your stock Gridserve. It's wasteful and frustrating for customers to habe so many charging stations put of action. My car only has a range of 150 miles on motorways so not being able to know when I can next charge my car pn ling journeys without long waiting times for a charger to come free is highly challenging and stressful.
We're new to EVs and use Wetherby…
We're new to EVs and use Wetherby services regularly. The Gridserve charger twice switched itself off when charging our car - meaning that we weren't able to charge our car as much as we wanted in the time available.
Machines at Cardiff west services
Machines at Cardiff west services, junction 33 on the M4 are always freezing or the card readers not working. Don’t bother stopping at these services if you need to charge. M&S at Culverhouse cross has BP pulse machines and they always work and it’s only 5mins away.
Burton in Kendal
Burton in Kendal. First charging point (454) connected up but then didn’t work. Moved to adjacent point (453) which worked OK. EV bays very tight (seen wider normal parking bays) not very compatable with EV chargers.

I could only get 33Kw on a rapid charger so pretty poor considering the 89P charge per Kw and I could only get to 50% in the time I had.
I was having trouble using the chargers…
I was having trouble using the chargers and called Gridserve's helpline. I spoke to a representative called Andrew. He was super helpful and talked me through how to troubleshoot the problem and got me successfully charging! Thank you so much!
Poor service
When you are waiting 5-10 minutes to speak to them it's not good enough. People are pushing electric vehicles, when you are low on power you need someone to answer in a reasonable time frame. 5 minutes is long enough. I expect to hear "high volume of calls", if you know it's a high volume, put more people on the phones.

Signs to the charging point are poor and confusing! It would also be great to have some facilities such as a source of water to wash the windscreen, or a windscreen washer refill
Quick, but pricey
The experience was quick and the charge was fast, but I seem to have been charged twice and I have no idea why.
It was more expensive than I thought it would be.
