I had reason to complain about our room in Edinburgh and the hotel agreed to a 25% refund but this was refunded to GoSplitty and they have not refunded this amount to my credit card! In effect they have defrauded not only me but the hotel by not passing on this amount!
(Weeks later, they have now sent me the refund but it was hard work. I think they read this review and asked me to reevaluate my comments.)
Smooth transaction
I booked 4 rooms at the hyatt regency in new orleans for saint game i was skeptical after reading reviews but everything went smooth no problems.

Don’t use these people. They lie and don’t represent their customers. I booked a suite with them for double the amount the room I received and they were basically good with hotels accommodation. I didn’t receive my difference in money back or any accommodation just lies and oh wells. So many other websites to use don’t use these unprofessional services you too will get screwed during your stay. They are trash.

We booked an overnight stay through GoSplitty and when we arrived at the hotel they had no booking or reservation for us. The hotel said this has happened a number of times over the past month.
GoSplitty are a scam organisation.
We were lucky enough to book another hotel last minute but have lost the money we paid to GoSplitty. My bank are looking into it but do not think it will be recovered.
Double charged by gosplitty and hotel
I Booked a pre-payed stay at the Holiday Inn Bunker Hill area, Boston. The hotel charged my stay again when I arrived. Customer support at first seemed very responsive, but simply stopped answering my messages after a days. It is been nearly a month and I have overpayed more than 200 dollars. I would avoid this company for reservations.

I recently stayed at the Chicago Hotel Collection, and my experience was very disappointing, filled with hidden fees and lackluster service. I booked my hotel room for two on October 12, 2024 and paid $366.00 for the hotel in full. Upon arrival, I was charged an unexpected $250 "care package" fee, despite having paid in full weeks before. No mention of this was made prior to my check-in. When I questioned it, they claimed to have sent a separate email, which I never received. The front desk employee Matthew couldn't even find proof in the terms and conditions, eventually admitting something must have happened where it was not sent but only after making me feel embarrassed in front of other guests.
This so-called "care package" was described as a daily perk, but it only included three bottles of water and three cans of soda-a far cry from the value of $250. I tried to decline, but I was told it was non-refundable. They also contradicted their own policy, saying initially that each guest would receive a package, but later clarifying that it was one per room. No where this package was in writing but on their front desk. My issue is how can you charge someone an additional fee after they have solidified their room and paid in full?
Additionally, I was charged a $125 deposit without any upfront explanation, and when I requested a breakdown of all charges, I was told receipts would only be available at checkout. They were only able to print a receipt for the $250 care package charge, not for the initial booking amount because it was done through a third party. This lack of transparency was frustrating and unprofessional. To make matters worse, the room service was nonexistent. I left my room on the first day and returned late afternoon to find it untouched. When I called, I was informed that there was no housekeeping service for my stay from Friday to Monday morning.
In short, I felt I was charged unnecessarily and overly and received no real value for my stay. Suppose I did not have the fees to cover these made up additions? All they could tell me was that I should not have booked through a third party (Gosplitty) ironically she (Indian night receptionist lady in 30’s) mentioned especially the one I booked with (out of all third parties). All solutions to them were delegated by telling e to call them. Still I have no receipt from them for my initial booking on 10/12/24. Thankfully I have that in my emails. Their responses were consistently dismissive, acting impatient as if my concerns were unimportant or bothersome. There was a lack of apology and shaming for policy issues suggesting I didn't read terms and conditions or didn't pay attention to details, implying that the fault lies with the guest rather than acknowledging the hotel's responsibility to communicate policies clearly. Matthew and the Indian woman reception ultimately blamed the hotel owner and stated they just work there. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with this inconvenience to say the absolute least. I won’t be going back or recommending anyone. I will post on every third party site of my experience as well. Also if you want to ask questions or speak with a receptionist at the hotel you have to text a weird number. Total joke!

Papypal behauptet sogar, ich hätte iein Abo jetzt bei denen abgeschlossen. Doppelter Betrug. Ich habe den Fall bei Paypal gemeldet und diese Sammeln gerade alle Informationen. Gosplitty hat bis heute nicht auf meine Email reagiert. Scam!! Geld muss man dann über Paypal sich wieder zurück holen...

I booked a room through Splitty, and my reservation remained in "pending" status all day. I spent hours on the streets, calling customer service repeatedly, only to be told by various reps that no one could help me. Finally, at 11 PM, they cancelled my booking without warning. I was in tears, explaining that I have a disability and urgently needed a place to stay, but their response was dismissive—just a curt "we’re too short-staffed to help." This was a frightening and exhausting experience, and their lack of care for customers’ wellbeing is unacceptable. Avoid booking with Splitty if you need reliable service or support.

Extremely disappointing…
I had an extremely disappointing experience with GoSplitty. I was granted a refund from Hilton Hotel, which was transferred to GoSplitty’s bank account as I had booked through them. However, they have failed to issue the refund back to my card, despite multiple follow-ups.
I’ve sent numerous emails, but they have completely ignored every one of them. Their lack of communication is frustrating and unprofessional. It feels like a big scam, and now I’m considering seeking legal aid to recover my money. Stay away from this company—they are not trustworthy!
Terrible customer service
If I could give 0 , I would. I don’t think they have anyone managing their support email. Our travel plans changed. I emailed them and requested changes to our reservation. Needless to say I did not even receive a reply. I clicked on the “contact us” link as per their automated emails.

Contact your bank and inform them of any fraudulent or evasive actions taken by them, and provide evidence against them.
The bank will return the money immediately.
I do not advise anyone to get involved and book through them. They are evasive and skilled at procrastination, fraud and deception.
They use cheap methods of lying, luring customers with cheap prices to trap them.

SCAM ALERT!!! I booked a hotel for October 10 till October 11 with go splitty and I could not go due to Hurricane Milton. I can’t leave my house, everything is bad here where I’m at in Florida, lots of tornados affected my area there is no power. I called them to cancel my booking and refund me since we are in an emergency right now and they said this: Following your request to cancel the reservation, we regret to inform you that the strict policy of your booking does not allow for cancellations or changes as it is non-refundable and non-amendable. Pretty much say f u we don’t care about the hurricane we care more about the money. I called Disney and they said they are willing to refund me since it was a natural disaster but they have to process it go splitty since they are the ones who took my money! They’re not doing it this is the worst customer service they are a scam!!! Don’t go and buy from them! And the bad customer service received was from SHAINA MAE TEJERO she’s the worst!

Please don’t go with these guys for any kind of reservation. Terrible customer support and follow-up, they will not assist you for any help once it get paid. I was terrified to handle these customer support folks. They even cut you off while talking. Please cautious to use these guys.

They quote you a hotel room, confirm your reservation, charge your credit card, and send you a "voucher" - even though they may not be able to deliver you the room.

I booked a hotel through GoSplitty, a hotel that I had stayed in last year and rebooked because we loved it. My 8 year old daughter and I arrived at midnight to begin our 10 day holiday to be told we were booked into the Annex across the road from the hotel. My daughter was hysterical, the Annex was run down, grubby and my young daughter felt unsafe. I paid £46 to stay in the main building that night to calm my daughter and get her settled after a long day travelling. I was told the next day I would need to pay £46 per night for the next 9 nights, on top of what I had already paid for the disgusting Annex, that I didn’t sign up for. I checked the site again and there was no mention of being boarded in the Annex either on the site as you book, and no mention of the Annex on the email confirmation. I was completely mis-sold. I had to spend the first day of our holiday looking for a different hotel as my daughter felt too uncomfortable and unsafe where we had been placed. This cost me £250. I emailed GoSplitty 2 weeks ago, and I’ve yet to receive a response. Disgusted and disappointed is an understatement and very much out of pocket. Do no book with this company.
