I booked a great price almost AU$100 cheaper than anyone else (40% off) & was optimistic when within a minute I had my hotel voucher from GoSplitty & the booking confirmed directly through the hotel.
They are UK based so I did notice a foreign transaction fee from my bank but still cheap. Then the wheels fell off. I checked the email from the hotel & it stated I must pay at the hotel on arrival about double what I had just paid, OK I say to myself, I have the voucher, I have travelled Europe before & know how this system works, it's just an admin error on the email sending full rack rate, not "please present your voucher". Then 24 hours later another email from the hotel, my booking cancelled at customers request. Contacted SUPPORT and they reply it's still booked. I contact the hotel directly thinking its a admin glitch because they sent the wrong email before & someone is trying to correct it - No, my booking was legit cancelled via email allegedly from Flight Centre with my name as the person requesting to cancel. Imagine if I had not seen the email and arrived in good faith with my voucher in hand. Back to SUPPORT several times, dealing with different operators but no resolution 4 weeks later.
I have requested a refund & been told I will be notified by email in roughly 3 days.

Disgusted and disgusting business
My father was ill and on 19Nov2024 my husband and I decided we wanted to go to Wisconsin (from Pennsylvania) to visit him for the new year. We booked a hotel and paid GoSplitty.com for the reservation, reservation was for 28Dec2024 to 03Jan2025. We booked and paid for our airline tickets. On 29Nov2024 my father passed away, but decided we would keep this trip as there were affairs needing to be taken care of for my father still. On 28Dec we had to stay the night at the airport (literally, with our 2 year old daughter) as our 9:50 pm flight had been delayed a few times, we loaded our plane, then had to deplane due to weather, with a delayed flight time of 29Dec at 7:30 am. This flight ended up canceled due to crew not being available for the flight. We attempted to get the one flight that was available which went from New Jersey to Colorado to Wisconsin, but we were on standby. Sadly, the flight was full and we didn't make it. The next available flight was not for a few days and since our visit was short as it was, we made the difficult decision to return home without going anywhere. I immediately attempted to call GoSplitty.com on the evening of the 28th, going into the 29th, when we learned our flight was delayed to let them know of our situation but each time I called I would attempt to connect to the immediate issue line and it would disconnect me. This happened at least three times. On the 29th, in the morning I called and tried a different avenue to connect with someone. The woman I got stated someone would call me and follow up with an email if they didn't reach me by phone. No phone call came from anyone, but I did receive an email stating they were reviewing my request. My request was a refund given the circumstances. On 30Dec2024 I received an email stating they would not be giving me a refund, not one penny back. They did not even offer an alternative, such as to offer a credit on the $556.99 we paid for a hotel we didn't even see. Yes, they took all of our money without batting an eye, without offering a credit for another hotel stay, NOTHING. I am absolutely disgusted by a business that has such a policy in place. This was my first and now will be my last time EVER using GoSplitty.com. I do not recommend this site for services to anyone, EVER. Please do NOT use them. If you have any circumstance that may cause an issue with you getting to the hotel you reserved through GoSplitty, they will have not problem taking your money like they did ours and doing nothing to help you out, even in the most grief stricken moments.
Don’t book with them
Don’t book with them! I was told I had until a certain date to cancel with a refund. I kept calling to cancel and they would always tell me someone will call me back within an hour to complete my request. Four phone calls later and several hours had gone by for them to tell me I can no longer cancel despite what they originally told me at booking. They never sent an email confirmation of the booking with the cancellation policy. They have no supervisor you can speak to and try to get off the phone with you quickly. They also don’t respond via email.

Habe ich sehr negative Erfahrungen über das Portal GoSplitty gemacht. Habe ein Hotelzimmer in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel in Südafrika gebucht. Bei der Ankunft wurde ich darauf hingewiesen, dass wir kein Zimmer im Hotel, sondern im Guesthouse haben. Das Guesthouse entsprach keinem 5-Sterne-Level. Es musste mit einer steilen Treppe an das Zimmer bestiegen werden. Service-Level niedrig, 3 Sterne. Nach Korrespondenz mit GoSplitty wurde mir zugesichert, das Problem zu lösen. Nach einem halben Tag bekam ich eine lapidare Antwort mit der Nachricht, ich hätte ein Standardzimmer gebucht. Demgemäß hätte mich das Hotel in das Guesthouse ausquartiert. Das Portal hat mich bei Buchung nicht über diesen Umstand informiert. Ich bin zu tiefst enttäuscht, dass dieses Problem auch innerhalb von zweieinhalb Tagen nicht gelöst werden konnte. Ich werde GoSplitty nicht weiterhin fehlen und über dieses Portal keinesfalls mehr buchen.

They charge International currency fees even though they told me they are an Australian company. Total Crap-there american that will absolutely charge you transaction fees for using there service. Scamers!!

Habe als Kapitalgesellschaft mit Sitz in Deutschland ein Hotelzimmer über GoSplitty in Hamburg gebucht - Deutsche Bankverbindung, deutsche Anschrift, Hotel in Deutschland - trotz mehrfacher Anschreiben erhalte ich keine korrekte Rechnung mit Ausweis der Umsatzsteuer / das entspricht nicht den deutschen steuerlichen Vorschriften - deshalb - Hände weg / nie wieder!

Unable to provide an actual receipt or VAT receipt. Which in this day and age isn’t good enough.
The only reason this isn’t 1 star is due to the cheap price. Well I say cheap price it was £160 for a small room in london. But it was the cheapest on the web for a hotel.
But yeh there service levels are just not good enough. It’s just a lack of quality dealing with them.
Go Splitty, a reliable hotel booking-site
I can't, for the life of me, figure out why GoSplitty has so many negative reviews. After I booked with them I noticed their very bad score, and was worried about what would happen.
Well, after making the very easy booking, for a real low price compared to what others charge, everything went perfect. I send a mail to the Victoria Hotel in Melbourne, and they confirmed my booking immediately.
So I'm assuming a lot of negative reviews occurred as costumers wanted to change dates, which Splitty refused, making people unhappy, inspite of the fact Splitty clearly states changes can't be made.
As the hotel was excellent, cleanliness great, and service o.k. we have no reason to complain about anything, and will definitely use GoSplitty again next time, as it saves a lot of money, better spent elsewhere, and on other things!
I can therefore fully recommend Go Splitty 100%.

Got a great deal on my hotel booking, not sure what the bad reviews are for. My experience was seamless and no hidden charges. Will recommend and use again.

It's practically fraudulent what they do. They list prices for hotels for very cheap and then mark up their "fees" to 1.5x the price of the hotel. Steer clear. Google should delist them.
Thought it was a scam but had no issues
Booked a hotel last minute to stay in Birmingham UK after a conference. As they send you a booking pending email first I thought it was a scam, but quickly got a confirmation following this. Arrived at the hotel and my reservation was legit and was far cheaper than any other site in comparison.

I booked a reservation, they sent me a voucher that was non-existent and I had to book with another company. They didn't solve the problem and simply said it was a non-refundable rate, which was absurd.

Terrible company. Turned up to find the hotel couldn’t find my booking. In short, splitty messed up the booking so I had to rebook at almost double the price elsewhere. I’ve had a part refund so far but after 60 emails to them, still not had everything back. Their number charged me £23 to call them which I’m still waiting on them to cover. Tried emailing their CEO after finding Eran’s email on the SEC website under their merger documents, but have yet to hear back. I’ll continue to try

While I was looking for a hotel, splitty sent me an offer. I confirmed it and payed also. But …the offered hotel was in another town, 2,5 hours away.
After calling with Splitty they told me, that there is no chance to get the money back or transfer me into the aktual town. Never book here!
