The parking lot lacks signage or guidance systems—such as LED displays indicating the number of occupied spaces—to help drivers find an available spot; the same applies to spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility. When visiting the site for the first time, these two minor issues can cause some stress, even if one arrives with plenty of time to spare.

We used the parking facility that was nearest to the airport - a 2 min walk away. My husband has mobility issues so this was perfect. The whole handover process was very easy and quick. Collecting the car was the same, with clear directions. Will definitely use again.

Self parking Longstay at Gatwick North. Easy safe secure you keep your keys. No muddy fields damage or unexplained mileage.
They may not be the cheapest. The spaces may not be huge. The advantages far outway the risks of another provider.

When my family and I arrive back at the airport after a long flight and struggled to get through security and baggage reclaim the last thing we wanted to do was wait for the coach to take us to the car park to find the car. Went to valet parking reception picked up the key and straight to the car, no fussing.

Excellent service. Regular transfers to Terminal. Good value for money. Essentially, they are linked directly to Gatwick Airport, so no chance of being exposed to scam companies that have damaged my car in the past. Cheaper options are available but always check negative reviews first, because criminal gangs are still operating at every airport in the UK, using subsidiary companies to fool the general public with low prices. That's why I now book directly through each airport. Also, don't trust a company just because it displays shows the "pass mark" logo, because my car was still damaged. The official airport car parks are best to use for security and reassurance.

Overall good. However, the return bus ride was confused with other Long Term parking. Their bus stopped at the same pickup point as holiday parking. Same driver as drop off service as well!

Yes it’s relatively expensive, compared to some others and the bus service to and from the terminal (North) is usually reliable.
On this occasion, on our return the bus was extremely full with everyone jostling to get on and put cases down, avoiding feet. The buses used to go more frequently when it’s busy. Customers might be better served if they used the type of bus that transports you from plane to terminal. Then there is only a couple of seats and plenty more floor space for luggage. Currently, seat access is blocked by luggage anyway.

Two visits to Short Stay South this summer. First visit (July): returned to a scraped door. The bays are too narrow to open a door with a normal car alongside, and the car park was full to overflowing. Gatwick's reply: bays are "standard", try a premium product next time.

Second visit (August): paid Gatwick £180 for a week. Parked in what looks like every other bay in the building, right beside an identical one — no sign, no line, no marking to say not to park there. While we were abroad, Gatwick's enforcement contractor issued three £100 charges on the same stationary car: two on the same day, one naming the wrong car park. Fourteen photos they took themselves, and not one shows anything that would tell a driver not to park there. I appealed all three. They cancelled one "as a goodwill gesture" — not, apparently, because they'd ticketed the same car twice in five hours knowing full well we were abroad and couldn't move it — and rejected the other two with a template that didn't address a single point, least of all why a bay that looks like every other bay in the car park carries no signage.

Gatwick's response: it cannot instruct its own contractor, take it up with them. So I've paid under protest and am taking Gatwick to the county court to get it back — because apparently that's what it takes to make Gatwick recognise its obligations as the owner of its own car park.

Someone else got a £100 ticket in exactly this bay — B4L in the Red car park, same end-of-row position — and reviewed it here on 13 July, asking Gatwick to mark the bay, as there were no signs to say this bay should not be used. Gatwick replied on 15 July apologising, so it knew. My car was ticketed in that same bay six weeks later. Nothing had been painted. Ask yourself why.

I am also reporting the contractor to the IPC and to the DVLA, which released my details to them. When a parking ticket names the wrong car park, and the contractor rejects your appeal even after you've pointed that out, the problem isn't the parking — it's the contractor. The bodies that accredit it and give it your data are the ones that can do something about that.

Needless to say I won't be using Gatwick again. If you're in any way bothered about what happens to your car while you're away, let this be a cautionary tale. Your £180 booking can quietly become £180 plus £300 in contractor charges plus whatever it costs to fix your car — it did for us.

Update 28/09/26: Gatwick's reply to this review (see below) is the same template it sent the July reviewer, virtually word for word, and says it wouldn't expect more than one charge for one visit. I got three, and Gatwick says it can't intervene. It also invites me to email parking.services@ — where I've been writing for a fortnight, and which has had notice of a county court claim since 18 September.

Really convenient and easy parking experience. My car was ready straight away and staff helpful.

Used valet parking which was very easy to book on line and the automated entry system worked well. Good location very close to departures. Would have given five stars but for one small thing, the card given for you to collect your keys on return was very badly printed and the car park could have been 5 or 6, myself and 3 others looked at it.
If this can’t be changed then when leaving your car someone needs to confirm the correct car park for the return. Otherwise the staff very helpful and polite, no other problems and will definitely use this service again.

Really easy to get to, brilliant location for north terminal. Regular bus service, sometimes really busy when going to the airport. There is always another bus that arrives very quickly if you are unable to get onto the previous bus.
The bus driver when coming back, gives good information on what bus stop serves the different car parks.
It great that you get to park your own car and able to keep your keys.

The Zone open signage was extremely poor, I ended up parking next to Bus stop 8. Bus stop 8 message board said Zone closed, go to another zone, which one ? I walked towards what I hoped was an open bus stop but no another closed ! I kept walking I hoped towards the office or airport, 2 18 kg suitcases and cabin case, I met some others having the same issues and we all ended up walking towards departures. This is my first complaint about the South and North parking, please sort the signage !!!

Gatwick south short term parking. None of spaces signs outside were working consequently Que of cars winding up and down trying to park in a car park rammed.
We pre booked and had to try all three car parks before we managed to park in a space designed for cars made in the 1970s
Love being charged a premium for a terrible experience….

Everything went as preplanned, space was easy to find and bus stop clearly marked, all went well on return found car in short time and returned home.

Using a SCAM company to operate their parking then not taking ownership is disgusting!!!!

Very convenient and efficient service. Just what you need at both ends of a trip, quick and easy drop off close to the terminal and a fast pickup when you arrive. Excellent.
