Elegoo a décidé de cracher sur ces clients
Le module AMS annoncé pour la centauri carbon est annulé et remplacé par une nouvelle centauri carbon 2
C'est juste complètement abusé !
Seule solution proposé pour ceux qui se sont fait arnaquer : "vous dépensez 50€ de plus chez nous et on vous offre 50€ de produit" autrement dit laissez vous encore vous faire arnaquer un peu plus

3D printer was uploading tens of gigabytes of data over the internet.

Even when blocked by my router it was then generating hundreds of thousands of firewall logs trying to do something (who knows what!)

I was within my 14 day return policy so I arranged a return. Elegoo ignored UK consumer law by charging a restocking fee (distance selling rules in the uk don’t allow this when the site is targeting at the uk which the UK elegoo store is)

I ended up having to claim through my credit card

Worst customer service. Sent me a broke machine, wanted to take it apart and repair it instead of shipping me a new one………

Paar jaar geleden een resin printer gekocht. Beetje teleurgesteld over de firmware ondersteuning kon nog veel verbeterd worden helaas is dat niet gebeurd.

Ich habe über den offiziellen EU-Shop von Elegoo ein Gerät im Wert von 2.549,99 € bestellt und fristgerecht widerrufen.

Statt wie gesetzlich vorgeschrieben eine einfache Rücksendeadresse bereitzustellen, wurde der Widerruf durch Umwege über einen Drittanbieter unnötig verzögert. Ich musste mich selbst um alles kümmern, obwohl ich das Gerät laut EU-Recht einfach hätte zurücksenden dürfen.

Der Widerruf erfolgte am 02.102025. Der Empfang wurde vom beauftragten Dienstleister schriftlich bestätigt – dennoch habe ich bis heute kein Geld zurückbekommen.

Elegoo verweist auf PayPal, PayPal auf Elegoo – und ich als Kunde stehe ohne Gerät und ohne Rückerstattung da.

Wer bei Elegoo bestellt, sollte sich bewusst sein: Im Problemfall wird nicht geholfen – sondern hingehalten und das Geld ist weg.

Für mich war das das erste und letzte Mal.

I dont like the bait and switch with the Centari Carbon. I purchased them because of the promise of an AMS system. Also the use of Klipper without acknowledging it.

I wanted so badly to love this printer. 16K resolution, heated vat, big build volume – on paper it’s incredible. In reality it has been the single most frustrating, expensive, and poorly supported purchase I’ve ever made in 3D printing.

Here’s the timeline of failure:
Day one: build plate arrived completely unlevel. After nearly a month of useless back-and-forth with Elegoo support (“send photos”, “loosen these screws”, “try this magic ritual”), I fixed it myself because they clearly had no intention of helping.

Heated vat never worked properly – temperature swings of 15-20 °C, random errors. Again, support just sent the same copy-paste replies for weeks until I gave up and disabled the feature entirely.

One of the vat thumb-screws stripped within the first couple of months. They did eventually send a replacement locking mechanism… which is an absolute nightmare to fit because every cable inside the machine is glued in place and there’s zero working space.

Just inside the 1-year mark, the official Elegoo FEP film tore. Resin poured straight through onto the Fresnel lens and LCD. Machine instantly bricked. Elegoo’s response? “FEP film and consumables are not covered under warranty – user error.” So a £900+ printer is deliberately designed to destroy itself the moment a £25 sheet fails, and that’s somehow my fault.

Bought a new Fresnel lens at my own expense (£100+), followed Elegoo’s own official teardown video to the letter, and the front touchscreen cracked during reassembly because the ribbon cable is about 3 mm too short and under constant tension. Their reply: “Damage caused during user repair is not covered.” The repair they forced me into because they refused the original warranty claim.
Everything inside this printer is assembled with glue, over-tightened screws, and zero thought for serviceability. Once you’re past 12 months (or earlier if anything they class as “consumable” fails), Elegoo’s attitude is basically “buy a new one.”

I’ve owned cheaper Elegoo printers (Mars series) that lasted years with zero drama. The Saturn 4 Ultra is a completely different story – beautiful specs, shockingly bad build quality, and customer service that seems engineered to get you to give up and spend another grand.
Save your money.

Buy literally anything else, or at the very least do not expect a single penny of help from Elegoo the moment something inevitably goes wrong.

1 star, and that’s being generous.

Having bought one of their printers, I wanted to upgrade to a larger hot end so as to use carbon fibre based PLA. This item was out of stock so I put my name down to be told when it was back in stock.
Four weeks ago they told me it was available so I placed an order and paid. Now, over one month later, they told me it will not be available for shipping until at least five weeks time. I do not think this is honest trading.

Ease of use enjoyable

Bought this printer with the thought that they would be delivering a multi color system in Q3 and have since learned this is never going to happen. It was a hard decision between the Centauri carbon and the Bambu Labs P1S and I went with the elegoo. Bad mistake. But they are now making a version 2 that has the capabilities. No thanks im not making that mistake again. Not buying anything else from Elegoo.

Many customers, myself included, purchased the Elegoo Centauri Carbon printer in good faith, relying on Elegoo’s public representations that a multicolor system would be released in the third quarter of 2025. A company of Elegoo’s size and reputation is expected to honor its commitments and deliver on such material product features.

However, Elegoo has now cancelled the promised multicolor system, leaving hundreds—if not thousands—of customers feeling misled. This decision fundamentally undermines the reasonable expectations of purchasers who relied on those assurances when making their buying decision. In my view, this constitutes an unfair and misleading sales practice, as customers paid for a product based on features that were advertised but ultimately withdrawn.

Started printing from day 1 right out of the box. I have used the printer probably close to 400 hours of printing. So far only one minor failure. Great value and it works great.

I tried to leave a review on their site that was not 5 stars but they don't publish them unless they are five stars, hard to believe that there are only 5 reviews on their Centauri Carbon Accessory pack and what a coincidence that are all 5 stars.

I left a 1 star review and it was not published.

I bought the Carbon because I was told Colour AMS was coming which is now obviously not the case.

I bought the accessory pack as the way it is presented on the website you get PLA-CF along with he plates etc which seemed like good value but then it only cam with PLA. When I questioned this they point to the hidden description which does show it only comes with PLA, but that is below a list which does include the PLA-CF.

Seems very deceptive to me.

Having said all this I am generally pretty happy with the printer itself and their filaments.

Des prix attractifs, des produits de très bonne qualité et aucun soucis de livraison (avec une prise en charge par La Poste sur le territoire Fr).

The spool was wound without any tangles and printed fantastically!

Fast shipping, parts were in stock, great packaging that is also excellent for storage until needed as it is clearly marked

The printer just works, as advertised. I received it 6 months ago and have been pleased with the performance. There was the initial setup and calibration when I first set it up. I have never had to go back and re calibrate it again.
I have used the machine default settings for PLA, PETG and ASA and the only failed prints I have had were user based. This is a far and away a better experience that my previous printer.
