The hotel was just as it should be for…

The hotel was just as it should be for a Hilton. Loved the breakfast. On the downside the bed was the worst we have Ever tried to sleep in. It was like sleeping on a wooden board. I'm sorry but never again.

Afternoon tea

My mother and I have just had a lovely afternoon tea at the Double Tree by Hilton in Glasgow. I want to praise Dan the resteraunt manager. Nothing was too much trouble.

Double Tree South Queensferry

Double Tree South Queensferry
A day and Overnight stay for my Nephews Wedding - Staff very friendly and helpful. Venue and location was amazing . The Catering I would highly recommend.
Clean room and lovely view .
I would highly recommend this Hotel and hope to be back soon. Well Done everyone involved.

Stoke-On-Trent Doubletree by Hilton Hotel- AWFUL

We visited the Stoke-On-Trent Doubletree Hotel last night. Very unsatisfactory:
I phoned to make the booking and wanted to book a room. The reservation clerk accepted the booking and the room I was supposed to be allocated suddenly became unavailable. He then asked me to wait and said he had an alternative room.
We arrived and the reception clerk asked if wanted to be upgraded from a King room to a queen. We said no thanks and she then declared that she had "upgraded" us anyway, free of charge. I was confused as I thought the room rates where the same for both types of room.
We got to the room and immediately realised that we had been given one half of a double room. There was a door between our room and the one to the left.
We could clearly hear the family next door and the children (next door) kept trying to open the door.
We could hear everything, coughs, conversation and movement.
When I went to check out (having been woken at 6 am on Sunday morning by the people next door coughing and laughing) I mentioned the noise and the confusion over the room.
I asked why we had a queen room when we asked for a king and she could not answer the question. I also asked what the difference was, and she said that we had a sofa bed as well.
Firstly, what use is a sofa bed to a couple? Secondly, we didn't have any bedding for the sofa bed.
Personally, I think we were stitched up. We were unable to watch TV late evening as it would have disturbed the people next door and we did not get what we asked for. We did not ask for an upgrade and it seems the room we were offered is not an upgrade anyway.
Total waste of time and money. Just another greedy business trying to get away with lousy service.
Also I was told by the reception clerk that the customer services manager would phone me before 2PM, 30 hours later nothing.

Checked in on 26/08 at 15:00

Checked in on 26/08 at 15:00, went to room and temp was at 25.7 which we thought was just a matter of setting the thermostat for comfort cooling properly which we did. Returned at 19:30 and found the exact same uncomfortable temperature in the room. Staff member went in room to adjust temperature and told to wait 30 minutes, nothing happened. We were also given a fan which would probably wake up the whole neighbourhood as it sounds like an airplane's propeller about to break. In the end, we were given another room with about 2 degrees lower which was still uncomfortable but bearable, note that we have a baby and a toddler. Staff did what they had to do, however, its always the body language which gives you that awkward feeling. no genuine eagerness to help.

Stayed at the Double Tree Sheffield

Stayed at the Double Tree Sheffield.
Room was noisy because it was next to the elevator.
Serving staff in the bar were benign at best, cantankerous at worst.
Room was visibly dirty.
The proclaimed pool was the size of a damp postage stamp (slight exaggeration for dramatic effect).
A sub optimal affair all round

Would expected better.

Dirty towels, didn’t notice I till I was wet and went to use them, Mould in the grout in the shower, Old spring type mattress wakes partner up when you move due to noise,
No ventilation in bathroom.

The parking company they use are…

The parking company they use are crooks!
Recently my son had a rather scary tyre blow out just off junction 16 of the M4. He managed to get the car to the nearest safe place which was the Hilton Doubletree car park just off the junction. He contacted a friend who came to his aid and changed the tyre however my son was still shook up. The whole process took a total of 34 minutes, however the parking company of the hotel fined him and after he appealed outlining the events, then rejected it. Shocking behaviour and I cannot believe a large chain like The Hilton allows such blatant robbery. You only need to look at the reviews of the parking company “PARKINGEYE” to know how appalling they are.

this company set up a parking arrangement with the NHS for patients to use 4 allocated parking bays but the parking company [parking eye] issued a parking fine they would not listen to what I told them so went back to the hospital and they said that they would sort it due to it been a admin fault after a year I have just received a letter from dcbl [balliffs] for a total of £170.00
I would just like to say thank you very much Hilton and parking eye and of course dcbl
be careful when parking at there carparks even if they say it is free parking eye will chase you because in the eyes of the law you are liable

Seniors beware

My wife and I, both in our 80's, stayed in Oxford Belfry Doubletree Hilton from 05-09 June 2022. We were allocated room 156, which is 319 steps away from reception and dining area, across labyrinthine narrow corridors and poor signage, as one departs from the central area . Room had traffic noise from nearby M40 if window is opened (no air con.). The distance of 319 steps was challenging, given in particular the cardiac frailty of my wife. Alternative room was not available on the day. The general lack of detail in a chain hotel was in evidence; leaking tap in bathroom, undercooked pork served in restaurant, room not serviced until 5 pm, or not at all; towels missing. ; the allocation of distant rooms to clients in their 80's, with mobility problems is unconscionable. Cannot recommend this hotel to seniors. (it is some 12 miles away from Oxford despite its title address.) Its four star status my be more attributable to its spa offerings than to its accommodation and dining.

Tabitha and Allan at Farmers Branch Doubletree are dishonest.

I have been a Hilton Honors member for years. After my experience with the Farmers Branch Doubletree location I will never book with them again. After several calls I was told by Allan the AGM I would receive a refund for a stay that wasn't completed. After several days I checked on the status only to be told by Tabitha the GM that Allan the AGM stated he had been trying to call me but my voicemail was full and he had told me he would look into the matter. Which is a complete lie. DO NOT STAY AT THIS LOCATION.

We booked bc it says "5-star hotel". But read on to find out why it's not:
There are several issues we experienced, during our stay on n 05/25/22, leading us to huge disappointment of the fake rating as a five star hotel. This is absolutely unacceptable and something needs to be done and addressed by upper or regional management, immediately. 👉As of today 05/28/22, they have not responded to my direct email about the issues.
-HORRIBLE MATTRESSES! WORST NIGHT'S SLEEP, EVER! YOU CAN FEEL YOUR PARTERS EVERY MOVE! Cheap cheap cheap mattress and plywood grade firmness!
-A/C cycling all night with no fan for white noise. Dead silence between off and on. Made it extremely difficult to fall and stay asleep. We were waking up every 5 minutes when the a/c kicked on.
-Hand prints on walls and desk surface in room bc full interior surfaces were not wiped down (so much for "clean stay")
-Huge gap in sliding doors to bathroom, not allowing privacy of the guest occupying the space
-Dirt accumulation on floor corners/baseboards
-Heavy dust accumulation on vanity wall light sconces
-Chipped furniture
-Tiny TV too small to watch from the distance where bed is
-Burn spots from lighting on plastic light wall sconce covers (so cheap looking!)
-Toothpaste spatter on walls/bathroom counter & mirror not wiped off (not adequate wipe down to be able to say "sanitized")
-Heavy dust accumulation on moulding on base of vanity perimeters (lazy house keepers)
-Chipped/worm out wood furniture (time to replace it!)
-Cracks in bathroom sink vanity ceramic bowl (this is very disappointing and neglectful!)
-Two queen beds and 4 registered guests only had 3 wash cloths, 1 soap wafer & 1 shampoo/conditioner.
-Front desk clerk says " Not sure I can provide. It's after hours and I just got her and can't leave front desk and can't call on someone' to assist"...
-No bath robes were provided in the room, we had to ask. They were supposed to be part of our room package.
-Room service attendant was very rude and confrontational when we had to ask again for better dusting/wipe down, and defensive about having done it all, even after I had to point out the dust buildup.
-Parking valet took 20-30 minutes to retrieve our vehicle, each time.
-Elevators were very slow
Not as big of a deal, but the famous cookies were 1/3 the size of what they used to be. I cannot believe that this room is being rented out with the shape of the burned wall sconce plastic and cracked sink and misaligned/unlevel bathroom sliding doors. WHY?? This is not right!! What is going on? Why is the rating 5 stars, when it's not?
The valet parking is mandatory and no other options for nearby parking make is feasible to allow in and out. The restaurant was closed for dinner and complimentary guest cocktails from 5p-6p were limited to a white wine, a red Cabernet and some kind of basic beer. Mixed drinks were not complimentary. The free finger foods were humus, pita bread, fried mini vegetable spring rolls and fried chicken cordon bleu balls. Tasted kind of gross.
Save your money and stress- book somewhere else.

Hilton San Pedro 1 King 2 bedroom Suite

Booked the 1 King 2 bedroom Suite , for 4 adults. After we arrived we found only one bed, this room is just one large room with a small couch and one chair. I called down as soon as we checked in and they said they could bring up a roll away ??? Why would this room be able to be booked for 4 adults? We booked 3 rooms for our daughters wedding and all the rooms were a disappointment. Old and unkept, stains on walls , ripped lampshades and dirty carpet. I called Hilton after the weekend so they could update website so others don't book this suite for 4 adults. I was told that the hotel would get back to me in 3 days . It has been over 10 days and no one contacted me. Hotel is in a beautiful location but has terrible service and needs updating.

Patronising

Tryin to communicate with a human being via ‘chat’ facility is exhausting.
Kimmy I found rude and patronising plus no proactive information provided I had to ask repeatedly just for the basics - he she or they need some training in basic customer service and how not to sound like a complete kbxb - I got cut off mid flow and fgs I was trying to book a meal .

We are not going based on his/her/they service and our friends who were staying are now going elsewhere.

We are very happy not to be attending.
I don’t know where great service exists these days - it’s def not in double tree Hilton chat !
Get over yourselves

DoubleTree Liverpool, staff were rude and borderline racist. Hotel was also filthy and we think we caught Covid from there. Avoid this hotel
