DO NOT go to the DOUBLE TREE HILTON…

DO NOT go to the DOUBLE TREE HILTON HOTEL IN SAN JUAN PUERTO RICO, the staff lies and then takes your money. Please check your bill for fraudulent charges. The bathroom smells like sewage and when we told them about it, they did NOTHING about it. I called to go over my bill and was told that “someone” in my room was smoking. Me and my family have never smoked a cigarette, vape, etc. and when I confronted them about it, they stated that they had witnesses that confirmed seeing someone from my room engaging in this. When I asked for proof, they could not present me with any nor could they identify who exactly it was. I did not know the charges were being added until AFTER I checked out and was already in another state. They refused to give me back my money for the “no smoking charge” I would not recommend anyone going to this hotel!!!!!

Stayed at the Double Tree by Hilton…

Stayed at the Double Tree by Hilton Dartford Bridge room was very dated with mould on the ceiling corridors smelt of cigarette smoke food was very low quality we went to use the swimming pool and water was very cloudy looking with hair floating on the top way to much chlorine in there. Then on check out was charged £118 for 4 drinks as well as my account having pending transactions repeatedly along with other customers saying they were having the same issues. Very overpriced Hotel for what you get will not be staying again.

Double Tree Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island Ras Al Khaimah

Our stay at Double tree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island Ras Al Khaimah.
We will be visiting this place again as we have had a great stay there in the past.
To that extent, the hotel has changed style to a Charter hotel. Where most have everything included.
It definitely does not have the Hilton standard as before.
Unfortunately, we have to conclude that we will NOT be going there again.
We arrive in the middle of the night and are assigned a room on the 2nd floor.
We are saddened by this, and ask if we can be moved up to the higher floor.
It's not a problem, we can do it the next day. So we are happy.
After breakfast we go to the reception and say we are ready to move room.
Suddenly we can not, but we can the next day. WELL OK.
We ask when it's so after lunch.
We arrive at the reception at 15. Unfortunately the room is not ready yet that will go an hour.
Coming down again after an hour, they regret the room is not ready but they will call when it is ready. I call down after an hour - unfortunately it is still not clear. We're waiting again - and I'm going down again. They expect in an hour. They will call when it is ready. It's clear at ca 19.
We have not ordered ALL INCL. Therefore, we must of course pay for Our drink.
We are presented with the bill at the table and asked to pay. We say it must be in the room which is normal procedure. NO we have to pay - we do not have cards or cash with us. Says again it should be in the room. Then the waiter says that can they come to Our room at. 21 and get paid. NO - it must be in the room which is the NORMAL procedure. We finally managed to get it in our room.
Since we have to travel very early the next morning, we pay our bill in the evening. So we can leave the hotel in the morning without spending time settling down.
We have to leave very early - 04:30 and hand in our key card.
We're getting our luggage into the car when a receptionist comes running and says we have to pay our bill. NOW they have to stop, explain that it IS paid in the evening. Of course, we have packed the receipt in the suitcase. I can show from my account in the bank that the amount is there - BUT it is definitely not enough.
They investigate in the system and after time they find out that we have paid.
One feels like a criminal trying to run from the bill.
Then they suddenly have to check the room !!!!!
I do not know what's going on ??? Shortly afterwards, we are told that everything is as it should be.
We have stayed at MANY Hilton in many places in the world over the years. And always been happy with the good standard.
We've never been out for anything like this. It is NOT normal Hilton standard.
It is really a pity that so good a hotel has fallen so deeply.
We will never come to that hotel again.

I would highly recommend Doubletree by Hilton Bristol North

This was my first experience of staying in a Doubletree by Hilton. I was originally booked in for 1 night but decided to go a day early. When I arrived the gentleman on reception was very helpful,I was advices when I called to book the extra night to ask for a room for the duration of my stay. I was given a key to a room on the ground floor while he worked on getting me a different room. He came down to give me the key to my new room which was in the 1st floor, There is not have a lift and I was in considerable pain from a long drive, he offered to carry my bag up the stairs for me.

When I got into the room it was spacious and clean, there was a selection of coffee including de-caff which I think is a bonus as for me I like to have that option. If I have to put a negative it would be that the fan in the bathroom was very loud, and I couldn’t find a welcome pack with details of mealtimes etc.

While I was they I made use of the pool, steam room and sauna, I was not disappointed it was clean and you have use of towels, the lockers do take a £1 to use which I didn’t realise until I was changed.

I have never stayed in a hotel alone before and so I was feeling anxious about going to breakfast alone but I didn’t need to be worried the staff made me feel very welcome.

I want to give a mention by name to a lovely lady called Hanna on reception, nothing was too much trouble, she made me feel comfortable to ask for anything, milk, coffee etc.

I will definitely be using this hotel chain again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Will never stay at Hilton double tree…

Will never stay at Hilton double tree in Chester ever again. A night away was booked for my 40th birthday which was supposed to be relaxing and restful. There was a wedding reception on in the hotel and the music was blaring so loudly it felt like the room was pulsating. The music was going on into all hours of the night. The issue was raised by management who couldn’t care less. We paid £200 for a room and feel like we have completely wasted out money. We would have had a better nights sleep in a budget hotel. If there is going to be a function on the hotel souks raised this at the time of booking or at least allocate a room away from the noise.

Hilton Double-Tree Docklands Riverside

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Double-Tree Docklands Riverside to see in the New Year. It was our treat. Wasn't sure how we would find the experience. Well I eould definitely be back at the Hilton Riverside again. We had a wonderful time.

Thr staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. The food was good and arrived on time and without drama. Great atmosphere created across the hotel. I believe this was due to Dean, the General Manager (I asked the team for his name and asked for their opinion), as expected they celebrated him, spoke very highly of his management skills.

It showed, his contribution across every area of the hotel was evident. We asked for advice on a local Restaurant that we heard of, not only did he provide it, he contacted them booked us in and checked on return our thoughts. At breakfast he supported staff at all levels - nothing was beneath him.

So I was not surprised the next day I saw him with facilities staff fixing carpet issues in the corridor one moment, then checking in a guest an hour later. The other staff worthy of a mention are Paulette, Kannie & Nicola. You are a great team, you make the hotel so very welcoming. Well done.

Little over priced

Myself and my wife stayed at the Doubletree a while back, the staff where friendly and welcoming and the room we stayed in was clean and had all we needed. We also ate at the restaurant and the food was very good.

Overall it was a good stay but slightly over priced for what we got.

I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel…

I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dulles and everything about this hotel is great. Anything we asked for was taken care of immediately. The room had a great lay out with a modern feel. Housekeeping was really great at the hotel.

Doubletree by Hilton Excel

The very best hotel in Excel area. Stayed few times in this month. Front office and restaurant are really good and helpful. Breakfast was great. The front office manager Navid was just outstanding at his services. He was really helpful and cooperative.

Top class event service for 250 people at Doubletree by Hilton, Sheffield

Doubletree by Hilton, Sheffield, hosted an inaugural boxing event last weekend and I can't praise their service enough.

It's a difficult time for all of the hospitality industry at the moment. This hotel was coping with a brand new team and all of the new processes and restrictions of the pandemic.

Yes, they were short-staffed, and sometimes it took a while to get a response via phone or email. However, this is a hotel where their employees really care.

They worked with us to deliver a sit down dinner and boxing event for over 250 people. All of our needs were met exactly as required and if they weren't able to do something right away, they made sure that it was done when it was needed.

There were a couple of technical challenges pre-event - there was no loading in the ceiling, so all of our production had to be built floor-up. Also the hotel's sound system wasn't working. However, we needed additional sound anyway so it didn't take much to sort out either of these elements.

A three course Christmas dinner was served efficiently and to time, last minute accommodation changes were managed seamlessly, and I'd go as far as to say it's one of the best hotels I've ever dealt with for delivering great event service.

It's all about the culture. If you have that right - and this hotel team clearly does - then everything else falls into place.

Special thank you's to Micheal, Paul, Molly, Charlotte, Rebecca and Matt - we couldn't have done it without you!

Doubletree Hilton Manchester

Doubletree Hilton Manchester - expensive and disappointing. No parking on site despite being advertised, tea and coffee in room not replaced daily, noisy, rowdy clientele shouting until the early hours.

I'm giving this hotel 1 star solely…

I'm giving this hotel 1 star solely because of the interactions my wife and I had at the front desk. We have over 400 nights at Hilton properties and are "diamond" members. My wife's purse was stolen en route at another airport. So I booked the room using hilton rewards. When we arrived I explained this to the front desk employee and she said she would just turn off the ability to bill to the room. She then told me as diamond members we receive 12$ credit each day to use at the restaurant for breakfast or at the bar in the evening. So the following morning I went down to order a breakfast for our 9 year old.
The front desk manager came out of nowhere and, in front of guests and employees scolded me 9 times repeating that I have no credit card for incidentals. She took the bagged food and threw it in the garbage and then said maybe we should discuss this at the front desk. I was embarrassed and humiliated. I attempted to tell her I assumed the 24 dollars would simply cover it and she just kept repeating her mantra ,no credit card on the room. The next day I was again told to utilize this credit and was reluctant but the front desk called and told the restaurant. I was paying 160 dollars in cash. My wife purchased a loadable visa debit while we waited for our cards to be shipped. We went to the bar for our anniversary and spent 24 dollars and a 10 dollar tip and I,  as directed, billed it to the room. I was called 30 minutes later by the front desk and told I had to pay it now because I had no cc on the room. I went down and when I handed the card my wife had purchased the associate said with a smirk and disgust "we don't take these, it's not real, we only take real credit cards" then she said she had contacted the front desk manager who's name begins with P they decided that since we continued trying to bill to the room we would not be renewed the next day for cash and had to leave the following morning. We spent a total of 950 dollars with cash and points. We are diamond members. And we were told our debit card and our cash wasn't welcome. This was after I emailed the general manager and received a response from him asking if everything had been taken care of. I also had to call Amex and Barclay's and tell them to cancel our new cards and have them shipped again to a new address at a new hotel. Unsurprisingly that hotel saw nothing wrong with our method of payment. So since we told to utilize a free 24 dollars a day 6 times and we did we were kicked out. Of the 5 nights we only we're able to redeem this once. I would rather sleep in the sewer than give this hotel a penny. It's disgusting how we were treated. The night I was scolded she requested identification and asked 10 times how we possibly couldn't have a working credit card. Now I know when she and the rest of her. unhospitable   staff read this they will foolishly think they did the right thing. That's how clouded their judgment is.

Doubletree Kensington (a shambles)

I checked in on Sunday 24th Oct, and as it was only noon (we flew in from Belfast), was told that the room would be ready after 3pm, and we could store our bags in the board room, which we did. When we came back to the hotel at 4.30pm, our friends room was ready but the receptionist couldn’t give me a key to ours, as she didn’t know if it was ready. We were wanting to get changed before heading out to a trip on the London Eye (pre booked time slot), then head out for dinner etc, so my wife and daughter were very unhappy. We left for our time slot on the Eye and dinner in the same clothes as we had been travelling in since 6am, but nothing we could do. When we got back, I asked if our room was ready, and he just looked at me blankly, asked my name, and gave me a key for our room, and also 1 cookie.

When we arrived in the room, it was very warm, and as there are no working windows, I turned on both A/C units, and unpacked. It was then I realised the safe was not working, and also the lock on the ground floor of the duplex, where my daughter was to sleep, wouldn’t lock. It was late, so I slept in the sofa bed, and told my wife and daughter it would be sorted in the morning....NOT A GREAT START!

The next morning, after breakfast that was chaos at best (the staff were brilliant in the circumstances, very overworked and constantly under pressure to refill everything) I went to reception to report my issues, and despite asking about the safe, and the oppressive heat in the room, the receptionist assured me the maintenance team would get them fixed, along with the lock on the door.....away I went happy (retrospectively delusional) in the knowledge that it would be sorted.

Another full day out and about, and on our return to our room that evening, discovered that the safe was still not working (receptionist this time knew they were all unusable due to the changeover of ownership apparently), the A/C was still not working (she also told me no A/C units were working, as the engineers were waiting for parts and the maintenance team could do nothing) and the lock would not budge (the receptionist asked if the door could be opened from the outside without a keycard, which I replied I didn’t think so) but as I explained to her, that wasn’t the point, my daughter and wife wanted assurance of the safety of the room from the inside.........I explained I was far from happy, seemingly fobbed off this morning, and that NOTHING had been done throughout the day. The receptionist asked if I wanted to speak to a manager, which I did.

I explained the whole scenario to her and after apologising, told me she understood my concerns, and as a gesture of goodwill, would give us a discount of 50%. At no point did she state it was for my first nights stay (as the receptionist on check out told me), and therefore I took it that it was for the 3 nights, and as I thought it was reasonable in the circumstances ( I do understand operational issues, BUT NOT being lied to by receptionists), I left it at that, knowing that I would have to spend the 3 nights in the sofabed (6’1” and sweating a lot) but changing hotels would have been my next conversation, at their expense.
On checking out, the receptionist asked if I had enjoyed my stay, to which I obviously told her I did not given the issues, however I understood things were in the transitional stage, and wished her luck. She then told me I had received a 50% discount on my first nights stay, to which I replied that it was supposed to be off the whole stay. She said she would need to speak to a manager (who wasn’t there) and if there was any issue, they would call me (she gave me a business card).

Now, I have not received a call from the management, but did receive a part refund , which is not what was agreed (as far as I am concerned).
So overall, the rooms are too hot and can't be cooled down, the safe doesn't work, and the lock was not fixed, oh and breakfast was a nightmare after 9am....you have been warned.

The Doubletree at Chester

The Doubletree at Chester is very difficult to contact by phone.

On two occasions, calling the spa and main hotel numbers resulted in being passed around their automatic system with no answer.

I called Hilton `Customer Service and they tried to call with the same result.

On another day, I did manage to get a response and made a reservation. On arrival at the appointed time, I was told that the reservation was for the previous day - three people heard the original conversation.

Undaunted, I tried again, this time by email. The results were less than stellar. My correspondent, couldn't make her mind up whether or not here was availability and when, her contradictory statements were quoted back to her, she floundered.

My advice - try somewhere else.

Good service

We are staying at Doubletree By Hilton in Dubai. We had been out, and some of us took a taxi home to the hotel, while the others walked. When we arrived at the hotel we realised the others had the room keys. The security guard Mudassar was quick to help and got us into our room in no time. Good service :)
