When you order a door from a so called professional company you would surely expect all parts to be delivered unfortunately not. It is bad enough that we have had to wait longer than we would have liked and we now have an installer here and no door he can fit. Have spoken to customer services who have said they will TRY to get the missing parts to us before 10:30 the next day will believe it when I see it. The attitude of the driver was we don't work for them and the van was loaded when I got to work and the attitude from the office was we will try but won't promise. This company has gone so far down hill from the time I was involved in the window industry

Ordered three doors and they were fitted whilst we were on holiday, on arriving back home two weeks later found problems with all three doors. I have emailed and left telephone messages and had three emails back giving me case numbers but no follow up from three weeks ago. Quality of product is not what it used to be , don't touch with a barge pole there quality and service has dropped drastically over the past five years.

To all people out there,stay well away from this company they are an utter shambles!! I ordered 2 composite doors, 1 was ok the other one arrived 2 weeks later after they should have been delivered together...and it was wrong design! Sent it back again came back again wrong size! Seriously absolute morons...customer service is a disgrace ,all they do is pass the buck and you don't get anywhere and no one to is there with any authority to help. You get more sense out of the speaking clock at Westminster! Zero communication and a total lack of empathy! The star rating does not give it justice...it deserves far worse than bad!! They now leave my customers with a temporary botched composite door over the Christmas period with no sign of a new door that I've paid for!!

This company is now a total shambles, customer service is totally non existant.... Ordered door, it arrrived wrong, then they sent out another door slab to only find this was wrong also. Too large for the opening. This company is a total disgrace they dont care once they have your money.. The products they supply are mass produced rubbish. Be warned stay away from this firm you will regret ordering from them. Since this firm was sold off its gone from bad to worse, save yourself all the aggrevation and stress and buy elsewhere.. They dont care they pass you from pillar to post and all they say is oh we appologise for your faulty door but we will send you another wrong or faulty door... It beggars belief there still trading!!!!!!!

They need shutting down there service is absolutely disgusting aftersales is a joke they dont even answer there phones. Stay stay away you have been warned

Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere. Door Stop used to be excellent. We have had various issues with doors over the years but requests for replacement parts etc were always dealt with quickly and easily. It was rare that I had to speak to an actual person as most was done online. Then something went horribly wrong a year or so ago. I have never come across such rude and incompetent customer service staff. They were obviously overwhelmed with complaints and couldn't cope and their attitude was awful. We went elsewhere for most of our doors but still used them from time to time and the rep came to see us to assure us that all was now well and they now had contingency plans in place. Well the last few weeks have been appalling. The doors are poor quality and if you can by any miracle manage to get through on the phone the customer service is back to being stroppy and pretty much useless. Save yourself the stress and go anywhere but Door Stop.

Shocking, shocking, shocking.
Ordered 2 composite doors through Burbage Custom Windows on Oct 29th. Given a delivery date of 12th Nov and day before informed IT problem causing a delay. I was told they would come on 19th Nov (one hell of an IT problem)
Delivery man arrives and says the other one failed. First I had heard of it. Get given a delivery date for Monday 25th. 3pm on 25th I call them to enquire where it is and it's now coming 27th. On the 27th my order disappears from the system and they can give me no other information.
Burbage offered refund or alternate door. The alternate door was £100 more expensive but they have written that off to their credit.

If you are ordering doors please try to ensure where they are being manufactured because if it is Door Stop you need to avoid them like the plague.

Burbage told me they have now cancelled the contract with Door Stop after multiple issues

2 weeks later still not here. Just spent an hour on the phone to customer services and nothing has been resolved. Cancelled the door and never want anything to do with them again.

Lied about the calls made to and from customer services until I sent in screenshots of the call in.

We should have learned from first order back last year - our first experience of using door stop was a disaster, but was Given £100 as compensation, hence my re order, and alas, another disaster. this Door was ordered with a delivery of 9 days (ample time, as they claim a 3 day turn around). On the day of delivery we received an email at 9.30pm in the morning confirming the door would not be delivered, no explanation as to why.
We emailed 5 times without reply, I just called, and a customer service adviser confirmed the door would be delivered on Thursday, I replied 'definitely'? , she replied: 'well I'm not making the door myself ...... this is what to expect, very painful, rude and poor experience throughout.

You have to be a very competent installer to fit these doors. They are not for DIY enthusiasts or companies with dodgy fitters. When they are fitted correctly and all the hinges are tightened to the specification they work very well and look great.

We have only had our door 5 years and we are going to replace it. For the entire time we have had this door it has been nothing but problems. It was poorly fitted by a local company who seemed incapable of installing it so that the door could close and the lock engaged (that will be another review). But it has not helped that the rubber sealing started coming away within months. The letterbox was fitted poorly so that that almost immediately the black paint scraped off. So for the last 4.5 years we have had a half black, half silver letterbox. The handle (again black) is so flimsy and difficult to operate that no one over the age of 65 or under the age of 13 is able to open our door. Having looked at other doors and placed an order for a replacement, we are shocked at how light and cheap our door-stop door is, compared to what else is available. Things may have changed in the last 5 years but I am not taking a chance with this company.

Contacted them for technical assistance as the installers had made a complete mess of installing the door. Clyde Windows were the installers.
Refused point blank to assist as I had not placed the order with them.
I had supplied detailed photos and explanation of the problems.
I also informed them that this was not a warranty claim but a request for technical help.
All to no avail.
Will avoid them in future.

Rubbish!
Paid over £2,500 for 2 doors, 4 years ago. Don't buy these doors.
They are faded, chipped, mouldy and have lost the paint finish. Very poor quality.

Been Fitting these doors for nearly 10yrs and overall the product is very good. You can buy these doors at a good price and pass this on to the customer for 1/2 the price of a Rock Door if you wish.
Had a door with pealing on the woodgrain effect after nearly 7yrs, customer service offered to send out new slab, we offered this to the customer with our labour charge and they where very pleased, took one of our fitters 2hrs hours to swap over locks furniture glass etc and everyone happy mainly the customer. All doorstop wanted was some photos of the damage and that was good enough, not like some companies who try at all costs to avoid honouring a guarntee. Well done door stop. Penwortham Glass Ltd.

I have also fitted hundreds of these doors over the years.
Yes - you do get the odd problem here and there but have always been sorted out asap.
I agree with one of the reviews below - most problems only occur due to bad installation.

ps £2k for a door - yeah right!

Bought composite front door 1st one bent straight after installation, 2nd one bent 3 month after install, 3rd one again out of box bent and damage. It's not wood it's filled with foam, sandwiched between thin composite sh####t

I've used door-stop doors for the last few years, the doors (when they turn up on time and undamaged ) used to be the best on the market, unfortunately I believe they have been taken over by another group and things have gone to sh**, I had one door that had to replaced 5 times, and even the 5th one had noticeable damage, the most recent one hasn't even turned up (due to further defects), I am in the process of trying to cancel said door.
My advice, shop elsewhere!

Terrible customer after sales, they will not respond to enquires or complaints.
The doors and fittings are of low quality ,the paint on the hinges falls off and the seals need replacing every year the threshold seal is a joke . I can not fault the installers DOORS 4 YOU but I fear when the guarantee runs out the door will have to be replaced.

Please be careful when reading these reviews. We are a window and door installer and have been installing these doors for the last 10 years. We have fitted hundreds of these doors without problems. Often the problem with dropping doors is down to bad fitting and not the door itself. You need to be very experienced to fit a door correctly and level and if not this is when you get problems. We have had one door in 10 years that has faded and they have agreed to replace. It is best to order through an installer who then can help if anything goes wrong.

POOR FINISH ON PAINT WORK, CHIPS ,SCRATHES AND SILICONE ALL OVER THE DOOR,MOULDING AROUND GLASS WAS DIFFERENT COLOUR TO DOOR,GOT REPLACEMENT AND 6MM GAP AROUND GLASS WHERE BEAD WAS NOT PUT IN CORRECT,THEY WILL NOT COME OUT TO SORT THE PROBLEM.
