Solid core composite door and frame, The frame was very light with insufficient frame plastic core reinforcement. Half the hinge screws missed the plastic reinforcement. No steel/aluminium inner frame that is really needed here. The door weighs 85 KG so needs a robust frame and solid fixings for the hinges.
A number of the hinge to frame screws were partially stripped and missed the plastic re enforcement altogether. Door lock miss aligned with aperture in front skin. Sent back for re make, Door never arrived but a remade frame that did arrive but had exactly with same build faults. Returned and obtained a refund form the supplier.
Door stop was difficult to contact with long phone waits. The original door was returned with full pictures of design faults, That made no difference, and door stop never contacted us to discuss.
For a large company I'm lost for words.
Ive had my door several months now to make a fair review. we ordered a black door with four glazed panels. The top 2 glazed panels let in water so I had to run a bead of black mastic along the top bead to stop the water ingress. The hinges will not stay put, the top hinge eases out and the bottom hinge eases in. this results in the door always binding at the top closing corner. when the door is closed it is about 2mm short of the brush seal on one side when it is only just touching the other. Rendering it useless. The keeper for the lock was fitted too low resulting in the door not latching. The Delivery of the door turned up unannounced and was left standing against the wall of the house only to be blown over by the wind and damage the paint on the hinges. I am a joiner to trade and fit doors on a regular basis and I'm so glad this was not a door for a customer as I would never hear the end of it. Euan Slack
I have been in the game over 25 years. A few years ago this company were good. Then they dropped off a little earlier in 2020. Now (August 2020) they have quickly become the worst company ever in this sector. Once your money has been paid you may as well say goodbye to it and accept whatever will be will be. DISGUSTING after sales, blatant lies about their 3 day guarantee. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. DISGRACEFUL after sales and sometimes even rude (probably over worked due the number of complaints) when you ask for an update. Need I go on and mention the long wait to speak to customer services and sometimes being cut off? Door Stop you should be ashamed of your after sales service.

These doors as all doors can be fitted so they never knock. I’ve been fitting for 30 years and the worst doors. Ie Euro cell b and q. The list is endless

I simply needed a replacement door handle which had become defective. I found the staff to be somewhat abrupt with the tone they used when i confronted them on why no one had replied to the detailed email i send them which also included pictures, describing the issue.
Avoid this company. big thumbs down from me.
Appalling customer service, don’t answer emails, don’t answer the phones. I would avoid like the plague if you are hoping for any customer service if there is a problem.
been using door stop for years but now having to change my supplier my resent job came with a split in the under side of the letter plate didn't see it until the
detective foil was removed all to late fitted by then sent emails the phones are dead they must have known when it was sent out i guess no longer trading, that's an expensive job gone wrong.

They are advertising extra delivery slots even though they refuse to honour existing orders.
Been waiting over 6 weeks since promised delivery date.
Now they won't respond to raised issues on their web site. They never answer the phone either.
Such a shame they have decided to treat loyal customers in this way.
Next call I make is going to be to Trading Standards and then Money Online to claim back my payments !

Our Door Stop composite door with a Rosewood finish after 3 years faded and the fascia then started to peel off leaving pink plastic underneath looking very unsightly. The door itself fits well and is not a problem but it is our front door for all to see. The company did replace the door but with one that is just the same only this time started to fade and flake after two years. I did ask them if there was anything that could be done, quite frankly they did not want to know and did not even mention the flaking and fading problem let alone help to solve it. We are stuck with an unsightly door and they do not want to know. Surely it is not right to replace a faulty door with another one. There must be some law against this sort of trading. I would not recommend this sort of door or this company.
Poor quality product - problems from day one. Company are awful too. No after sales service whatsoever. Seriously, if you’re reading this, DO NOT use this company. Take your chances elsewhere.
Simply the most untrustworthy firm around.They have left traders who have paid for customers doors upfront in a terrible situation with the covid outbreak.
They make false promises to there installers who have struggled in this time of financial hardship.
I would normally cancel my order and insist on a refund but I will keep it going to help support the installer as it's not his fault.Shame on doorstop for having no morals at all.

Unfortunately just like these other reviews. I’m now having same problems. I’ve used this company for over 10 years fitting there doors Which where actually good doors. Unfortunately since they were bought out the service And quality has slowly declined. I payed for a door in full March 18th ready for delivery 30th March. I Get they Had to close for a bit due to coronavirus but when they re opened still no door or delivery date And they were excepting new orders taking new customers money upfront. so I cancelled. Well it’s now may 29th been trying to get refund for 2weeks got no where so now having to go through credit card company to get refund.
I would strongly recommend staying away from this company . They steal your money and don’t care.
I paid for my door on the 5 Feb 2020, on delivery was found to be damaged, so sent back, picked up 13 Feb 2020. Heard nothing. Spoke to the fitter, and was told they cant contact the company, because closed because of the covid 19 pandemic, so they wont refund my money until they confirm the door has been picked up. Today's date is 28 May 2020, I still have not heard from DoorStop, What a rubbish company, how can you treat a customer, who has paid you for a service, so badly. They have £848.98.of my money, is this legal.

I ordered 2 doors on January 8th, though Global Doors (GD). Their supplier is (unfortunately) Door Stop International (DSI).
2 doors were delivered on the 20th January, estimated delivery time of 2.30, actually delivered at 12 noon when I wasn’t at home to accept the delivery!
Upon unpacking each door, it was obvious immediately there was an issue with the colour of one sill, white supplied; unfortunately my doors/frames are all rosewood. The sill end caps were also missing for one door. More concerning was the very obvious wipe smear marks on the lower part of both doors, which appeared to have dulled the surface relevant to the rest of the door as if someone had wiped some solvent/chemical over part of the door surface. I tried the recommended cleaning of the door with soap/water but this had no effect.
Upon notifying GD of this, who raised the issues with DSI, a week passed by with no response. Chased GD, and they told me that my doors would be collected on the 30th January.
Collected on the 30th, and then I heard nothing more until I chased again on the 4th February and was told they would be re-delivered on the 6th February. I asked what had been done to the doors, and the answer was "reworked" which means nothing!!
I received a phone call on the morning of the 6th to tell me that only one door would arrive, as they couldn’t find the sill for the second door!! The first door arrived without the dulled finish.
I had to chase again on the 10th February and eventually received notification for redelivery on the 13th.

During the phone conversation with GD I stressed how unhappy I was with the situation and now it was beyond a reasonable/acceptable situation. I was told the MD of GD would contact the MD of DSI. I received another delivery message and it would be redelivered on the 18th February.
The door arrived on the 18th, with the correct coloured sill, but NO sill end caps. It seems to me that DSI are unable to supply a full and complete satisfactory package in one hit.
Another week went by and the end caps were still not sent to me, so contacted them again. Then a package arrived by courier, opened the package and then… no surprise, they had sent white ones!!
Another email, another apologetic response and another promise date of 3 days this time, and finally my order was complete on 28th February!!
Despite a very apologetic lady, it is very repetitive that GD keep stating that they will contact the manufacturer and it seems to me for a company so reliant on DSI that they can't do better than state we will contact the door supplier. They should be more on top of the situation, rather than behind it!! Other than 2 phones calls to tell me the doors were not arriving, I had to chase this issue with GD all the way, a distinct lack of proactiveness on their part.
As for DSI, they are nothing short of incompetent, as all the issues are directly laid at their door. Missing parts, incorrect parts, no show deliveries (twice) which indicates a lack of management, in fact I would say they lack any management at all. More like a bunch of headless chickens.
DSI seems to be a poor company, lacking in management, has poor customer support, a less than satisfactory product and repeatedly poor delivery service. There isn't anything good I can say about them.
There is a joke page on DSI's website stating they will deliver any door in 3 days or your money back (GD claim that they don’t have this agreement with DSI). The claim is absolutely meaningless, in my case they took over 7 weeks to finally deliver my order.
Ordered 8th January, finally delivered the last parts on the 28th February (7 weeks+, 51 days, 37 working days)… absolutely appalling for a company who advertise 3 days or your money back.
As I said in the title a comedy of errors, but it just isn't funny!!

doorstop, you need to steel re enforce your door frames as standard. your poor quality is causing problems...
