PLEASE SO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
We have used doorstop for around 15years for our composite doors and believe me when I say we will not use them again. The customer service is SHOCKING. Not one of the team will update you, call you back and the absolute best you will get out of them is “All I can do is apologise”
We ordered a door 16weeks ago and have had nothing but problems since, the first being they changed the deliver date 1 day before it was supposed to be delivered and added an extra 4 weeks on to the original date, then 4 more weeks pass and the door fails deliver due to missing glass (apparently) then a week or so later the door turns up with no side panel or frame, then the side panel is delivered but with no s for the top light and no glazing bosses for the glass, the add on to the ad was 2ft to short and could not be used. There were marks on the door, door catching on the frame as the door was slightly wider at the top than the bottom, hinge screws hanging out, the list goes on but still after 16 weeks of waiting and I think 13 phone calls to customer service we still have no update off anybody, no glass for the top light and not enough glazing bosses for the glass but not to worry because doorstop apologised so everything will be ok. Pathetic

If I could no stars I would! I ordered a door through a fitter turns out to be a bit of a chain and the door was from doorstop. The paint started coming off within 2 weeks of fitting. They ordered me another door, it was fitted yesterday and it's worse than the first one. The paint job is atrocious and it's coming off already. These doors are not cheap. I've gone back to the fitter and been told all they can do is a) order another door or b) they will respray it at their cost
I've been told doorstop don't do refunds, can you believe that for goods that are faulty!! This whole sorry saga has taken 7 months already. I am now going to have to go through the small claims court to try and get my money back. Avoid at all costs and if you are going through 3rd parties check who they get their doors from is my advice

been using doorstop for 10 odd years now but unfortunately the last year has been so terrible we have had to look to another company . their product is absolutely great when its been done properly but they generally are really poorly put together in the factory which causes a lot of issues with fitting . this is where the second issue arises , customer service is the worst ive come across , the poor people in the offices have to try to sort it out to the best of their ability but you literally have to constantly chase things up to get anywhere and you can never talk to someone higher up . like I said we have been using them for ten years and know our way around most of their issues but it really has just gone really bad this year , it is as though nobody cares in the slightest anymore and is a real shame .id definitely look else where and say its even worth paying a couple of hundred pounds more to get a better and more helpful company . the way its going I think it will probably be going under soon and they are trying to get as much money in as possible short term

Been in the window business for 35 years never put a bad review before .This company should be on rouge traders on TV .Never had dealt with such a disgracefull service before .No wonder they want the payment up front .Avoid this company at all costs.

I have been an installer of PVCu windows and doors for over 40 years and can honestly say these are the WORSE doors I have encountered. There is no steel/aluminium reinforcing to the outer frame so the weight of the slab (approx 80kgs) pulls the screws that hold the hinge to the outer frame out. I believe Doorstop only use a plastic reinforcing where the hinges are located. This mainly applies to the top hinge. When this happens, the door drops and rubs on the threshold and no amount of hinge adjustment solves the issue!! The hinge in question is called an adjustable hinge on their website. I currently have one door to replace (at a cost to myself) which is being manufactured by a company that uses the proper reinforcing throughout the whole outer frame and I have recently had two more doors suffering the same problem. Rest assured, I will be contacting Doorstop to seek reimbursement for my time to fit the door(s) and I will never buy from them again.

I've been waiting since June the 12th for my order,still waiting after twice recieving emails changing delivery dates after alot of calls,the latest estimate is the 27th of September.A complete disgrace, avoid like the plague

Never dealt with a company that offers such a poor customer service. To the point of non existent! I have had 4 failed deliveries on a door without a call to advise that the door is not coming. I have had to chase on each occasion. I would strongly advise to avoid at all costs.

I have 2 brown composite doors supplied by Doorstop International fitted with a ten year guarantee. These doors are not cheap.

The door lasted less than six years before the coating faded on the front door. This company agreed to replace it but the cassettes leaked when it rained so new ones were ordered. Now the other door is faulty. Still in warranty. The key goes round and round. I have been locked in for just over a week and having to use my back door. The company's answer was call out a locksmith on my house insurance. Well thats not good enough even though they were going to give me £105 towards. I would not only have to pay any extra but pay my excess of £200 and risk my insurance going up. I am not very happy. I was also told that if the company from which I purchased them from go out if business then my guarantee is worth nothing. What a crap company. Not worth one star.

I had a brown composite door supplied by Doorstop International in 2013, fitted by TWS of Leeds with a ten year guarantee.
The door lasted less than six years before the coating peeled and the door faded. TWS offered to replace with another from this same company, a joke, bearing in mind no improvements have been made to the coating (I have recent email from Doorstop Int. stating this,!

Our brand new composite door warped and won't lock properly. From the other reviews it would appear Door Stop have major quality control issues. Avoid.

The developer we bought the house from had installed a door-stop door in our new-built property. From day 1 the door would not a) close easily and/or b) would not lock easily. Was completely misaligned. After 2 visits from locksmiths and endless fiddling and alignment I was advised that there is nothing they can do and they said it was a door and/or frame issue. Mentioned it to the developer but no real interest to resolve or accept the issue. After a year of endless issues with a brand-new door from door-stop I decided today to change the door and frame from my own pocket for a different vendor and stop this painful experience. I am surprised companies like this still survive to trade in 2021. If I had bought the door from them directly I would be chasing them legally, but since it came with the new house it seems more complicated, Shame there are 0 stars on Trustpilot

I'm a 25 year time served fitter.
I fitted a door stop door and immediately had problems as the screws in the hinges were loose and spinning.
A few visits and a bit of temporary repairs the customer demanded her money back.
Door stop sent me a new outer frame which I fitted today.
Not an easy job as its a arched with side lights door.
I was horrified to see there was no reinforcing behind the top hinge. Just a empty hollow box casement.
No wonder the screws were doing nothing.
I've wasted almost a full day now and am going to pursue getting my money back for a product not fit for purpose.
I've got the old frame which is proof and I have photos and videos.
Shocking when you feel the weight of the slab.

Avoid this company at all costs. I have installed five doors supplied by Door Stop and have had endless issues with ALL of them regarding locking or correct sealing of doors. After several visits back to site on one particular door to fill in numerous forms, they agree the doors are installed correctly but the door is within tolerance yet our customer cant get her room above 13 degrees even with the heating on 30 degrees.

I had a Door stop door fitted around five years ago,I have had several issues with it ie:the lock jammed and I had to get a locksmith out, then the key got stuck in the lock,again I had to get a locksmith out, then the letterbox front fell off, but worse of all the door started to peel and blister so bad I decided to paint it using a specialist paint,this has now started to peel, I havenow decided enough is enough and have decided to get a new door.definitly NOT THIS BRAND

I moved into a new build 4 years ago, my composite door looked and worked very nicely until recently.the door has gone patchy and peeling. I contacted the installer who informed me the door was from door stop.
After reading all the bad reviews I realised it was pointless contacting DSI.I can only say in the past I have had composite doors from other companies and have had no complaints whatsoever.I can’t comment on customer service only quality and it is appalling.

Avoid at all costs. Placed orders for doors on 16/10/20 online and have been given delivery date of 24.11.20. On the day delivery didn't turn up, no curtesy call to advise of cancelled delivery. I've rang the next day to be told I need to wait another 3 weeks. Again delivery didn't turn up, no one called to advise and another 3 weeks wait. Pathetic company to deal with, no customer service at all.

Avoid at all costs! 2 year old composite door has peeled all over. After numerous emails to them they have sent one back, indicating no intention to remediate the poor quality door. All we are requesting is for it to be painted so that it doesn’t bubble and peel again in the future. I’d have given zero stars if I could.

I just rang up the company and asked one of the Managers why so many bad reviews on Trustpilot, she replied, people in the Uk love to moan for anything, I replied ,there must be a balance, why aren't people praising as much, she Said its the Uk Public, I replied, this answer is not good enough. at least put some spin on your reply, blaming the Public doesnt work, Im Out!

Been buying Doorstop doors for a few years now. Very few are as bad as the reviews on here would lead you to believe and I'd question the installation rather than the manufacture of the the door on these reviews. Yes, customer service can be improved for sure but fitted correctly, a Doorstop door is as good as any other good quality composite door.
