Great service and fast ship. Customer service needs work

Great service and super fast ship. However, I’m disappointed that customer service was not as promised when an item was showing “out of stock.” I had a reservation for being able to purchase Avata 360 and the email said if an item was showing “out of stock” during the 48hr buying window for reservation holders, that a member of support would send a personal link to make the purchase. But what I received in response was “it’s out of stock. You just have to wait until it’s available.” So that was my experience.

Avata 360 issues resolution

I am an active drone pilot and a longtime client and fan of DJI. I have many drones from the DJI family each serving a different purpose but all providing wonderful results. When the ban on DJI started I was devastated. I still am and hope that this nonsense will eventually end. So when the opportunity to purchase the new flagship product from DJI directly came about I jumped onto the opportunity.

I purchased the Avata 360 in preorder appointment and everything went smoothly. My Drone arrived soon after and I was over the moon excited. I immediately unboxed it , charged up the battery, updated all firmware’s and went outside for the first flight.

I turned everything on and patiently waited for the drone to connect with satellite. After several minutes without connecting I powered down and started again. I rechecked for new firmware and installed all available software. But after another 5 plus minutes zero satellite reception. I immediately went online to check if others were experiencing the same issue. No other drone had ever done this before so I was confused. I of course immediately thought that the USA somehow had blocked the drone to connect with satellites. My other drones operated perfectly so that was not the issue.

I reached out to customer support on their exclusive WhatsApp chat and asked for help. They responded later that day, likely due to the time difference, with instructions of different things to try. All things did not work.
Over several days of correspondence and trying multiple different options to resolve the issue, it was determined that the gps module hardware was likely not working. This is very rare for a new device to malfunction but it did. I’m paraphrasing here but we tried everything to make the drone connect with the satellite including driving to open fields and leaving it t connect with out obstruction but no luck

DJI immediately sent me a shipment label to return the defective drone for a refund. I was not interested in a refund as I still wanted the drone so they allowed me to purchase a new one via a special link. They have been following up with me every step of the way to reassure me that the refund would be processed as soon as they received and inspection the return.

While it was disappointing to have this happen I have only positive things to say about how amazing their customer service has been. They know that consistent communication is the best way to keep the customer calm and they did everything to resolve this issue.

I have since received my new drone and am happy to report that it works perfectly.

My refund is being processed now so I expect this to be resolved soon

Come to the Source

Delivery service was fair a day behind. But I'm not complaining, this is my second drone first one came from best Buy with awesome warranty coverage. You couldn't anywhere else but it was pretty expensive
Thus far, I've learned all the valuable lessons. I believe I have to learn about owning a drone from depth to fly away crashes.I should be good with the added year coverage
Thanks to the DJI website. I made this order at the right time for an amazing price.

What I thought was a sketchy site…

What I thought was a sketchy site turned out to be legit. I ordered my DJI Mini 5 Pro Saturday April 11th and it showed up when they said it would. Today on the 16th. Everything came in the box like it should and I updated my drone and now I can't wait to start flying and taking amazing photos and videos. (got to let the batteries charge)

Extremely Poor After Purchase care

When I received my Avata 360 with RC 2, the RC 2 touchscreen was unresponsive. I've charged it fully, updated firmware, refreshed firmware and did a hard restart several times. I did troubleshooting with djiusa and with DJI. DJI agreed it is a faulty controller. djiusa's website says there is a 30 day guarantee but they will not replace the controller. I have worked with them for the past 3 days and the only thing they will do is take it back and send it back to DJI. DJI won't take returns on the Avata 360 from the U.S. yet. So now I am stuck with a drone that I can't fly. Don't purchase from djiusa.com, they are NOT DJI, it is a company from Hong Kong.

It has never shown up

It has never shown up. Tracking information said it was returned to DJI because of Hazardous Material leak. We were hoping to have that by this weekend to use for a special job but I guess that won't happen now. We are still waiting for DJI to reach out and tell us when we should expect to receive the drone.
