The delivery was prompt and I already love Bob.

Daan Tech's Bob replaced a 4-year-old "made in China" mini dishwasher at our summer cottage after it broke down. The low water consumption and very fast express washing cycle are very nice upgrades, and overall the engineering, design and quality of the device seem impressive thus far. We also really appreciate the fact that Bob is made in EU and built to be repaired. One could say I have a slight man crush on Bob.

Je ne mets pratiquement jamais de commentaires sur les produitq que j'achète, mais là, il me semble nécessaire d'en mettre un, au vu de certains commentaires ou youtubers, qui sont trop vites négatifs.

J'ai acheté Bob en novembre 2023. Il fonctionne tous les jours, puis arrive ce jour où la palme ne tourne plus.... zut, j'appelle le SAV (SUPER efficace, rapide et très à l'écoue 5/5). J'ai dû endommager la pompe de cyclage (en voulant bien faire et mettre du vinaigre blanc dans l'eau de remplissage). Vinaigre à proscrire donc et privilégier le gel 3 en 1 (pour nettoyer joints et cuve manuellement). Bref, la panne étant là, la garantie me permet de remplacer la pompe. 2jrs plus tard mon colis est arrivé et me reste plus qu'à faire l'échange. Quelle belle surpise lorsque je déballe le carton, un tournevis (T20, donc peu commun) y a été ajouté, ainsi qu'une cartouche de lavage en cadeau. Avec l'aide du tuto (option que j'avais privilégiée, plutôt que de renvoyer Bob dans les ateliers de réparation), je remplace donc la pompe (juste un peu de difficulté lors du serrage d'un collier, car peu d'espace avec petit tournevis plat.. ). Mais finalement avec un peu de patience, tout rentre dans l'ordre et je referme le capot.
Bob à finalement retrouvé sa place et il immédiatement repris son travail et tout refonctionne à MERVEILLE!!!!! En fait, pour résumer, détection de la panne au SAV téléphonique immédiate, ave un accueil et une écoute géniale. Envoie de la pièce par colis express, réparation plutôt facile à effectuer, outil et cadeau bonus. Bref que dire de mal franchement!!!! Pour ma part je n'ai mis que 4 étoiles à cause de la panne au vu de l'achat récent. Mais qui aurait peut être pas eu lieu si je n'avais pas commis la bêtise de mettre du vinaigre blanc ! Je repars donc satisfaite de mon achat sans regret. Merci pour votre sérieux !

Been using it for over 6 months now and they have really good client service but the product really needs improvement. Both the dish washing and the self-cleaning are not good enough. After using Rock-n-Roll casette for cleaning the dish washer for example, my Bob is still greasy. I often need to second rinse my dishes after bob finished (did not over-load it) The way it's designed does not make it so efficient in cleaning dishes thoroughly. Hope it gets better in the future..

A máquina BOB é fantástica, lava muito bem e é efetivamente pequena mas que é suficiente para um casal. Por isso a máquina vale 5 estrelas.
No entanto falhou o marketing. Em lado nenhum na vossa página Web vem que a capacidade de utilização dos cartuchos de detergente está condicionada a regiões ou países, nem a máquina tem preços diferentes para a falta de opção. Apesar disso foram rápidos a responder aos meus emails. Pela falha no marketing e informação errónea dou 1 estrela com a média de 3

Tuotteesta oli hyvä tarjous ja siksi päätin tilata verkkokaupasta kotimaan ulkopuolelta näkemättä tuotetta. Verkkokauppa oli erinomaisesti toimiva ja helppo käyttää. Tuote on todella tyylikäs.

Erittäin toimiva ratkaisu meillä mökkikäyttöön. Vettä menee max 4 litraa pesukertaa kohden. Pesutulos on ollut hyvä.

First, quick commentary on Bob itself: the only fault I found was that the cassette does not clean well! It left white residues and dishes felt scrubby, not clean! This is a big enough problem that I almost wanted to give a 4-star, even 3-star. But then, I used Finish tablets, and things come out as clean as those from other dishwashers (I've used Bosch and Panasonic). I think maybe it's a problem with hard water. I recommend that Daan investigate their detergent ingredient and test with different water. If you live in the UK, it's probably not cost-efficient to purchase the cassettes from France anyway.

Now, the justification for going with Daan and why I support them even when things are not perfect. Let's be honest: dishwashing technology is nothing new, and I doubt that Bob's dishwashing is that much superior. However, the customisation and the design impressed me. Modern appliances are mostly boringly white or black. When you realise how "much" of them you see in your space, and how often you use them, it's curious that no company has really thought about the design. And of course, it's to save production costs.

I am therefore happy to find Daan Tech, which is innovative in this regard. They trust that there are customers out there who do not want to buy Ama*on cheaply-made crap with a short lifespan, who want a machine that is *both* functional and aesthetically pleasing, and who understand the value of a sustainable product.

Of course, when you purchase from the UK, you will have to pay around £70 VAT. So the total *upfront* cost of just the machine is nearly £400. However, it comes with a 2-year warranty and reparability. So *even if* it breaks completely after 2 years, it's £200/year. Whereas--if you bought some Ama*on crap, with 1-year warranty, it's £250/year should it break after 1 year (plus it would have travelled all the way from China to the UK). Based on this logic, the Bosch dishwashers are obviously good, as they have 5-year warranties (and made in Poland). But I rent so I need a countertop machine. (Obviously, Ama*on crap can live longer than 1 year, but the idea is that the risk is not worth it, for your wallet and for the environment.)

I write all of this out, as tedious as it is, because I really hope that more people would support companies like Daan that cares about reparability and cares about the design!

Anyway, I ended up with a stylish, unique Black/Pink combo. Some other remarks:
(1) I highly recommend the Easyfix tap diverter if you have water supply, as pouring water every day could get tedious quite quickly.
(2) I didn't connect to Wifi, as I don't see a reason to do so.
(3) I have found that with a full Finish tablet and a Glass/Express cycle, you'd get some detergent residue. So maybe cut in half? Or use liquid detergent.
(4) Bob is quieter than my cheap washing machine (provided by my landlord--wouldn't have been my choice.)
(5) Daan answered my questions on Instagram, a nice surprise, although after a few days.
(6) Ordered on 19/6, arrived 17/6.

That's it. Excuse my rambling--it's my most exciting purchase of 2024.

Annettu aikataulu, 10 arkipäivää lähetyksen valmistumiselle, piti paikkansa. Lähetys viipyi matkalla sen jälkeen hiukan yli viikon verran. (Tilauksesta siis reilu 3 viikkoa perille) Tuote oli hyvin pakattu ja kone pakkauksineen toimitettiin kuljetusliikkeeltä ehjänä. Paketin kulkua pystyi seuraamaan netin välityksellä ja noutopisteeksi oli valikoitunut läheltä paikka, johon on helppo kulku autolla. Noutopaikan henkilökunta vielä auttoi ja nosti paketin kyytiin.
Itse tuote näytti hienolta ja laadukkaalta. Ulkonäkö sai "plus-pisteitä" ystäviltänikin.
Sitä tärkeintä eli käyttökokemusta ei vielä ole antaa. Se tulee nyt seuraavina viikkoina testattavaksi. Hyvillä mielin sen voi nyt aloittaa.

I just got my first matte black Bob the other day, and have already used it several times. Wow! Bob is amazing. He cleans suuuuper well (use the casette), and now I don't have to waste time on doing dishes by hand anymore. I'm already thinking of "adopting" a second Bob to put under the sink, just to be able to run two cycles at the same time! :) one Bob is a life-saver, what would owning two Bobs feel like?😅🙏

Dispatch was delayed by several weeks. I had to fight to get information. Dishwasher has still not arrived.

Edit: Daan Tech has replied to my comment. I did receive the email. Which was sent after I had contacted them. It was also sent after I had been told the dishwasher had been dispatched.

Paketin tulo hieman kesti mutta ei ole tietenkään firman syy. Ystävällinen ja nopea asiakaspalvelu kun pakettia kysyin. Astianpesukone Bob oli juuri sellainen kuin ajattelinkin.

Très content de mon Bob. Un chouette électroménager design et avec de bonnes performances de lavage (même en express!). Je le trouve également économe en eau et avec une bonne capacité. Je ne mets pas la note maximale car je trouve le délais de livraison un peu long ( les bob sont produits à la commande et cela prend une bonne semaine…) et également car mon Bob a un beug et se retrouve régulièrement avec la porte bloquée et l’écran et les boutons figés. Je n’ai donc pas d’autre choix que de le débrancher pour le redémarrer et régler temporairement le problème… j’ai cependant trouvé une solution alternative pour éviter le freeze en le laissant simplement constamment ouvert hors lavages.
