Ordered a controller and waited 8 months until finally I had been fed up, had all my emails ignored until I threatened legal action in which case they claimed they refunded me but I still haven't gotten the money

Avoid this company-complete scam. I placed an order in March 2025 for my son's birthday in April, and it's now July with still no controller. I've reached out multiple times and haven't received a response. I'm out $270, and have nothing to show for it. Extremely disappointed.

I'm not one to place a bad review on companies; however, Controller Chaos has been a frustrating and unprofessional business. I ordered one controller with basic customization on March 15th, 2025, as a birthday present for my young gamer. The order process indicated it would be 10-12 business days to ship. Here we are on July 14th, three emails and NO controller. Waste of time and money.

I am convinced this company is a scam. I paid them $242.76 in December and there was no communication. I had to reach out to them multiple times to see if/when the controller would be ready. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my son. Well, it's July and still no controller. They've responded to some of my inquiries claiming it's in the final department...lies. Finally, after waiting long enough, I asked for a refund. It's been two weeks, and the refund they claim that's coming isn't there. They've selected my negative comments on their Instagram account, and now I'm blocked from their account. DO NOT DO PAY THEM FOR ANYTHING. What a terrible experience.

If you like broken promises and zero accountability, this is the place. Untrustworthy and very shady dealing

Horrible horrible horrible company. Takes forever to respond and full of promises they cannot keep. Was told I’d receive a full refund within 3-5 days. It’s been two weeks and I have a feeling I’ll never get my money back from these clowns. They are scammers by far!

We ordered 2 custom Xbox controllers from Controller Chaos on Dec 4th, 2024. We’ve made in an excess of a dozen phone calls and each one went to either an empty voice mailbox or an automated message abruptly ending the call. I’ve emailed at least three times and received the same automated response each time. Needless to say, I haven’t been able to speak to a live person to settle this issue nor is anyone answering any of my inquiries. In April, I filed a BBB complaint and Controller Chaos denied my refund. I still don’t have my controllers nor my money. SCAM!

I ordered this back in June 25th of 2024 and at the time of writing this review it’s June 6th of 2025 I Bought a $200 controller and I would keep getting told there’s supply chain issues. I would call every month for an update or email them. Now they don’t even bother to email back or call me back and it was a $200 controller!! DON’T GET ANYTHING THING FROM THIS PLACE!!

Bought a custom controller for a friend whose daughter is going through chemo. It would've meant a lot to him and we never received it. Thanks a lot Controller Chaos.

If I could leave negative stars I absolutely would... It's been 16 months waiting on 3 controllers, mind you spending close to $800.. Multiple e-mails not responded to. every time I call "supply issues, but I assure you it'll be done next week" that was about 62 weeks ago...

Leider ging nach kurzer Zeit der Mod nicht mehr. Die Statusanzeige leuchtete auch nicht mehr.
Also Controller geöffnet und nachgesehen wo der Fehler liegen könnte.
Die Ursache wurde auch sofort gefunden.
Ein Kabel hatte sich gelöst...also schlecht gelötet.
Support angeschrieben und ein Bild von der Platine gesendet mit der Bitte mir mitzuteilen, wo das Kabel angelötet werden muss.
Eine Antwort wollte man mir nicht geben.
Ich solle den Controller auf meine Kosten einschicken,und mir würde ein Kostenvorschlag zugeschickt werden.
Fehler können immer wieder passieren.
Aber die vollständige Ignoranz mir nicht zu verraten wo ein Kabel angelötet wird, übertrifft alles

ordered a controller in November last year as a Christmas gift and never received my order. ive called several times and nobody answers the phone, not uncommon to sit on hold for over an hour with no answer.

Renewing my review because of the fact that I want to make sure buyers are being aware and because they've constantly taken down my review even though I've followed the guidelines. I ordered a $140 custom controller. It came with an unresponsive d-pad, unremoveable debris on the back and difficult to press options button. Sent it in for repair and the r2 sometimes goes off on its own. There is also noticeable stick drift after just over a month.

Ordered a controller nine months ago. Never received. Contacted the company and was told it would take a month or so. Contacted them again and they have not responded in seven months and also blocked me on Instagram. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

I ordered a custom controller from Controller Chaos on December 18, 2024 (Order #CC-3527) for $351 as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. It’s now March 1, 2025, and I still don’t have it—or any clear answers. I paid for expedited shipping to ensure it arrived by Christmas, but tracking never worked, and it didn’t show up. Since then, it’s been a nightmare trying to get a response. I’ve emailed them multiple times (December 24, December 27, January 5, January 23, February 26) and only got vague, copy-paste replies blaming delays on their ‘hand-built process’ with no firm ETA. One rep guessed ‘late January’ on January 8, but that came and went. I even waited on hold for nearly two hours one day, tried every extension, and left my number (--****) for a callback that never happened. This was a special gift, and I’m beyond disappointed—not just by the delay, but by their lack of communication and accountability. Spending $351 for this level of customer service is ridiculous. I’d love to update this review if they finally step up, but right now, I’d warn anyone to think twice before ordering.

As a result, it does typically take time to airbrush by hand, clear coat, dry, assemble, and finally test before shipping your controller out to you! This time is based on many factors, including construction time, how many orders we have in at the time, and the current staffing we have right now. Currently, there is no good ETA that can be given with the nature of how the orders move through our departments here. If I had to give a ballpark based on the current information I would guess late this month, though we are working overtime hours and I hope that it is reduced. I want to give a very conservative estimate.

As a dedicated gamer, I've been through countless, but Controller Chaos has completely changed the game for me! The custom.controller I got from Controller Chaos is the best thing I have done to my gaming upgrade recently, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The quality is superb and performance is very impressive. I've been using it almost daily for 6 months thereabout and it still feels like I bought it yesterday. The tech design features are superior to any other one I previously had - especially as regards speed, precision, and manoeuvrability. And the customisation options are simply fantastic. I just realized I had been missing a lot before now - I really love what I got!

I believe the whole company is a scam. I ordered a controller last June and it’s February; I still have no controller nor a refund. Customer service is nonexistent. Complete waste of time and money.

I placed an order with Controller Chaos over three months ago, and I still haven’t received my controller. Every time I call, I’m given the same excuses and empty promises. The person answering the phone is actually quite friendly and tries to help, but it’s clear that the company itself doesn’t support their own staff or customers.

To make matters worse, their phone system is completely broken – when you follow their instructions to skip the wait, you actually get pushed further back in line. It’s beyond frustrating. I also followed their instructions and emailed them, but they never bothered to reply.

Meanwhile, their Instagram makes it look like they’re constantly active, yet they don’t seem to be shipping any orders. What exactly are they busy with?

At this point, it feels like a scam. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and requesting a chargeback from my bank. If you’re considering ordering from them, don’t. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
