The price and the ease of it

The renewal price was good and i didnt have to do anything.

Renewed with a slightly lower quote in 7 minutes. No messing about. A real person answered too who was clear and easy to understand. Fabulous service. Couldn’t quite match another quote I’d had so lose a star but otherwise brilliant.

Very competitive prices. Good insurance cover.

Purchasing the policy through Gocompare was simple and Churchill offered the cheapest policy. Three days into the policy they demanded a list of documents. Copies of all driving licenses, proof of address, proof of no claims etc etc. Also threatening that if this wasn't provided within 7 days they would cancel the policy and I would have to declare to any future insurer that I have had a policy cancelled. I advised that I am in Spain on holiday and need an extension to the 7 days. They wouldn't extend and advised I cancel the policy. Also charging me a £10 cancellation fee. Shocking service.

Unfortunately all decisions seem to be system generated with no apptitude or authority to fully understand long term loyalty and excellent claims experience. I may be wrong but this may be as a result of the wfh culture we are suffering from and the lack of access to decision makers.

Too expensive, and didn’t defend me properly in a claim where someone crossed a give way line and drove into me, which was clearly their fault.

Customer care was excellent

My existing motor insurer quoted £500 to renew, a 30 percent increase over the 2005 price. I compared alternative offers and found Churchill offered all the cover elements I required at a price similar to my last year's cost. Easy to process and complete payment.

After taking my deposit money you asked for loads of proof of information, I added that I was in hospital after having a minor heart attack and yet you still continued to pressure and cancel my policy.

Cheapest with everything we wanted. Pity we had to leave you last year as you were so expensive.

Good company to deal with very efficient. Prices acceptable.

In a very stressful time Churchill appeared more like the enemy than a helpful party. Contacting my personal claims handler was a nightmare and I was having to chase every aspect of the claim. In spite of the "if you have specific needs or a health condition or are going through a difficult time " intro on the claims department phone line the fact my wife has a terminal illness (which they were told about at the outset) they did nothing to try and expedite the claim.
In all 70 full or part days work took 149 days to complete due to the poor communications from Churchill to their suppliers. The whole experience lasted from April !st till October 1st and we were in alternative acommodation for 17weeks.
