Such an amazing experience. Great food, great host, great location!!! There is nothing more you could ask for. One of the highlights of our week in Italy. Dont miss this!!!!

The booking did not properly describe the location of the two events (balsamic tour and tasting and the cooking demonstration). The booking stated after the tasting , we will then go to the demonstration. It did not state anything about guests needing to have transportation to the next location which was a 15 minute drive.

What a truly unique and unforgettable experience, and a highlight of our two week European vacation. Mariella was an incredible, patient, and joyful host- at the end of our time we had full bellies and sore cheeks from laughing so much. As someone with minimal cooking skills, and minimal Italian, I say don’t hesitate- book it! I’ll treasure these memories, and new skills and recipes, forever! We had a wonderful afternoon with Veronica! She patiently and humorously walked us through every step of the pasta-making process, teaching us a lot about Bologna along the way and sharing plenty of tips. The food was fantastic: the best local ingredients! Communication leading up to the event was also very straightforward, reliable, and super friendly. The private cooking class was the highlight of our trip—thank you so much again!

We were fortunate to be just my husband and I for the cooking class with Francesco. I appreciated that the class was fully hands on. And it was fun!

Con lei abbiamo realizzato le tagliatelle, ma ci ha dato tanti consigli anche per altri piatti. Ci siamo divertiti molto! A seguire abbiamo cenato tutti insieme in un atmosfera molto familiare e piacevole, con aperitivo di salumi e formaggi offerti da Arianna, le buonissime tagliatelle fatte insieme e, visto che era il compleanno del mio compagno, ha anche realizzato una torta al volo buonissima! Ci ha anche lasciato le tagliatelle avanzate da portare a casa per congelarle! Veramente un'esperienza fantastica e da consigliare! Grazie Arianna 😊

We did a market tour and cooking class with our host Paola, in Bologna.
What an enjoyable experience. Paola was very knowledgeable and although we had already done a Bologna tour, she had a lot of new information to tell us!
We then went to Paola’s house which was a short walk out of the city walls and she taught us to make tagliatelle, piadena and tiramisu.
We were then invited to sit in her lovely garden and enjoy the food we made, along with additional food that Paola had prepared. A bottle of wine was also provided to wash down our food.

Absolutely AMAZING experience! Would literally come back to Italy just to do another cooking class with Barbara and Stefano, my group had SO much fun. If you want an experience where you learn authentic Italian family recipes and want to feel like you’re also part of the family, look no further. The views are amazing and the food and company are even better. Note for travelers: you do have to hike down a small trail to get to the house, so wear walkable shoes and make sure to follow her directions to call her before you park so she can help you find the spot to the shorter trail. 10/10 experience!

Our instructor, Barbara, was amazing. She was so kind and we truly enjoyed learning how to make Tuscan dishes. Wonderful experience!

Barbara was a fantastic instructor and her home was very bright and homey. She explained things naturally and was very helpful, offering 1 on 1 and keepings things light and fun. The food we made was some of the best we had in Italy. We were constantly thinking about it during our trip and how excited we are to make fresh pici and tirimisu at home. We definitely recommend taking her course.

Degustazione ridicola e in fretta e furia.

Our experience with Cesarine was extremely disappointing and highlights serious flaws in both their booking process and customer service.

We booked a cooking class believing it would take place in Naples, only to discover — less than 24 hours in advance — that the reservation was actually in Catania, on a completely different island. This is not a minor misunderstanding; it is a fundamental booking failure. A platform built entirely around location-based experiences should make it virtually impossible to confuse two cities that are this far apart.

Instead of acknowledging this issue, Cesarine hid behind automated reminders and generic policies. Repeating that emails contained the correct address does not excuse a booking flow that clearly failed to communicate one of the most critical elements of the experience.

What is most concerning is the complete lack of accountability and flexibility. Despite the obvious and significant mismatch, Cesarine refused any form of solution — no refund, no partial compensation, no credit, and no possibility to rebook. The response was rigid, transactional, and entirely indifferent to the situation.

Politeness in wording does not compensate for a total absence of customer care. This felt less like dealing with a hospitality platform and more like dealing with a system designed to deflect responsibility at all costs.

In summary:

A booking process that fails at the most basic level: clearly communicating location
Zero willingness to resolve an unreasonable situation
Customer service that prioritizes policy over fairness and common sense

We paid for an experience we never had, due to a preventable issue, and were left with no support or solution. Based on this experience, we would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when booking through this platform.

Der Pasta-Kochkurs war einfach großartig! Wir hatten einen extrem tollen und rundum gelungenen Abend. Die Atmosphäre war herzlich und entspannt, alles wurde super erklärt und wir konnten viel lernen. Es hat riesigen Spaß gemacht, gemeinsam frische Pasta zuzubereiten – und das Ergebnis war natürlich auch unglaublich lecker. Vielen Dank für dieses schöne Erlebnis, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Patrizia was the most wonderful host. Her house was simply perfect & the view of the lake & mountains cannot be beaten. We made the most delicious pasta & tiramisu. She was helpful in assisting us in finding a driver from the ferry to her house. I would highly recommend this class!
