Absolute disgrace of a company!
Cake arrived all mashed up in the box, phoned and emailed photos to be told I would receive a full refund, no refund as yet, and ignoring all communication now.
Contacted bank now for a refund

I’m still shocked that Caker Street considers sending a cake through the standard DHL parcel network an appropriate delivery method.

This is a food product, yet my cake arrived extremely soft, damaged and completely unusable. The fondant had melted and cracked, parts of the cake were exposed, and the decorations were broken and detached.

Regardless of who physically caused the damage during transit, I purchased the cake from Caker Street and it was their responsibility to choose a delivery method suitable for the product they were selling.

For a company selling celebration cakes, I find it completely unacceptable that a product this delicate and perishable can be sent through an ordinary parcel delivery network and arrive in this condition.

What made the experience worse was the response afterwards. I reported the condition promptly and had photographic evidence, but I was then told I needed to return the damaged cake for a full refund even though that requirement was only communicated after I had already disposed of it.

Customers ordering cakes for important occasions should be aware of how these products may be delivered and what can happen if something goes wrong.

A very disappointing experience from delivery through to complaint handling.

I ordered what was meant to be an elegant, high-quality pink and gold drip cake for my daughters 16th Birthday today, expecting a professional standard. What Caker Street delivered is an absolute joke and looks like a badly rushed, amateur attempt.
The differences between the reference design and the cake received are shocking:
• Missing Elements: The large, glittering gold "Sixteen" cake topper was completely missing, leaving nothing but a bare, ugly toothpick sticking out of the top. The delicate white sugar flowers on the face of the cake were omitted entirely.
• Appalling Quality: The neat, pastel macarons shown in the design were replaced with malformed, cracked, yellowish biscuits that look completely unappetizing.
• Terrible Finish: The top surface is covered in a messy, cracked layer of gold paint, and the neat "drip" effect consists of thick, sloppy streaks down the side. To top it off, my daughter's name was slapped on crookedly and carelessly right on the side of the cake rather than neatly on the board ribbon.
This is a milestone birthday that we cannot get back, and receiving this disaster has caused immense stress and disappointment on her special day. I have formally rejected the item and demanded an immediate full refund, which they are now asking for me to send the cake back and pay for the return!
Save your money and go to a local, reliable baker who actually cares about quality control. Caker Street completely failed us.

Ordered a birthday cake with chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream.
First of all, the cake was not chocolate and the cake layers were extremely thin - I'd estimate 50% cake. The rest was some kind of chocolate mousse concoction that was not very "chocolatey"
They have tried to fob me off with a £7 refund for the cake not being chocolate but they did not deliver what I ordered which is the entirety of the order - the "missing ingredient" fundamentally changed the product I wanted and was of poor quality in any case.
I'm also sure they do not speak English well as they did not respond to the points I raised about their poor effort at resolving the situation.

1 star: Cake never arrived on my daughter's birthday

I ordered a Minion birthday cake (Order #142468) on 2 October, with delivery confirmed for today, 5 October, between 10:00 AM and 5:30 PM. Today is my daughter's birthday, and this was clearly stated on the order.

The cake did not arrive, and nobody from Caker Street contacted me to explain or warn me of a delay. I had no chance to make other arrangements, so my daughter's birthday has been missed.

When you sell a cake for a specific occasion, delivering on the day and communicating if something goes wrong is the bare minimum. I have contacted the company and am waiting for a response and a refund. I would think very carefully before ordering from them for any date-sensitive occasion.

I want to share my feedback about my order from this company.
"So, as much as I was happy about the offer and the cake looks on the attached preview, it turned out to be the biggest disappointment! It looked Horrible! Unprofessional & Amateur decorations quality on the entire cake!
Although the cake it self was beautifully wrapped and boxed for shipping, the cake it self looked like a 9 year old put it together. The decorations were absolutely carlesly throughn on the cake without any purpose and even the icing and the writing was like a 9 years old written quotes, a total disaster.
So, clearly I was scammed by you and you aren't as professional as you advertise your work. Further more you extremely over charged me for that cake. Because What I received nobody would paid £109! It looked like it was rushed out the door! It ruined my son's birthday!
SHAME ON YOU!
On top of that my question is:
What's the porpuse of boxing and wrapping with care when the cake you sent out looks like SHI*! ? You don't want to give that to your loved one at all. Embarrassing! It clearly was a Sabotage and not a service I signed up for!

SONS BIRTHDAY RUINED

Most disgusting service ever received. I would not recommend purchasing a cake online. I had ordered a cake for my sons 7th Birthday Party in advance. When I spoke with someone they had confirmed and assured me that the cake would arrive on time as the order was made well in advance. I therefore put the order through for the requested delivery date and I paid the additional (expensive) delivery charge for that service. I received confirmation that the order was confirmed.

On the date of delivery which was a Friday, my sons birthday on the sunday, I received a call from DHL to confirm that Caker Street had delivered the cake to them late and therefore they could not deliver. I phoned Caker Street nearly 25 times over the course of friday and saturday and no one answered over 2 days. I left messages to phone back but no one phoned me back. I needed to know what was going on, if the cake could at least be delierved on the saturday or even sunday but no one had the courtesy to let me know or even try. After spending nearly £100 on a cake. It was disgusting service. I was so upset my son was left without a cake on his birthday and party and no one even had the courtesy to let me know what was going on. I would NEVER take this risk with a company like this again.

Do NOT use this company, the positive reviews on here are fake it’s a scam don’t risk it!! I messaged them on Monday, I asked could it be ready by Friday, sent the cake design, they said that would be no problem. It’s Friday today, they said it would be delivered between 830 and 5 pm. Nothing came and when I questioned it via message I got an email instead to say that there had been an issue with delivering it and that apparently I’m getting a refund, they never replied to my message. I have sent numerous messages and they’ve ignored me. I do not think the cake was made. I got no tracking number or no picture of the cake when I asked was it actually made do not risk it do not use this company, I think it’s a scam.

Very unprofessional!! I cancelled an order 3 days before delivery. Their policy is to cancel up to 24 hours before delivery. I have sent messages and emails asking about my refund. I have simply been ignored. I will NOT order from them again 😤

never again will i order from here absolute joke and a half , the cake i ordered for my daughter was damaged i contacted them to ask for replacement or refund never got either of them, avoid please, even though i sent them evidence via email as i couldnt send the damaged cake back i ended up emailing them constantly for some kind of refund got ignored i took it up with my bank and got no where so now i am out of pocket and my daughter was very upset with having no birthday cake cakerstreet you have lost me as a customer i will never order from you again shame on you for not looking after your customers properly i hope you close down as you shouldn't treat your customers in this way by only offering 20% refund of price made when purchase good money for a cake that ends up damaged absolute joke disgusting !!!!!!

This is a company that can’t be trusted it was my friends wedding day she ordered a cake months in advance and on the day no cake till the following Monday when the wedding is over there was no communication at all don’t answer the phone or emails avoid

I am appalled by the service that this company provides. Hugely lacking in timescales and customer service. Having chased up about my cake that I ordered April 2026 for my wedding day 18th September 2026, I hardly had any responses.
I finally get an email on the very day at 15:35 to say due to unforeseen circumstances it wont be delivered until the following Monday which of course is of no use to anyone. They agreed via WhatsApp that they would issue a refund this message was sent 18th of September at 21:23 and we are now 29.9.2026 with still no further resolution and continued lack of a response. I sent a message Yesterday to chase this up and yet again no response what so ever. I have since emailed them to further prompt and I have now involved my bank to get this refunded.
I urge no one to use them, the sheer lack of accountability and the slowness to resolve issues from their end is just childish at best, please check out your local bakeries instead of this company, steer clear of them.

Based on my experience, this is not a company I would trust with an important occasion.

I ordered my 60th birthday cake from Caker Street approximately a month in advance for my birthday party on 19 September. I specifically arranged for it to be delivered on 18 September, the day before my party, so that I would not have to worry about my cake on the day of such an important celebration.

The cake did NOT arrive.

Caker Street later told me that DHL had supposedly attempted delivery at around 11am on the 18th and received no response at the address. However, we were at home. Nobody heard or saw a delivery attempt, no calling card was left, and I received no email or other notification telling me that an attempt had been made.

On the day of my party, instead of being able to enjoy my 60th birthday and concentrate on the event I had spent so much time organising, I was repeatedly having to contact Caker Street asking where my cake was.

I explained that my party was starting at 5pm and that I urgently needed the cake. I even provided the address of the venue and asked if it could be delivered there instead. Their response was that the cake was still with DHL, that they would check whether DHL could reattempt the delivery, and later that they had received no response from DHL.

So on the day of my 60th birthday party, I was left without the birthday cake I had ordered a month beforehand.

What made the situation even worse was that the cake was eventually delivered THREE days after my birthday party, by which point it was completely useless for the occasion it had been purchased for.

Even then, there was no notification whatsoever that it had been delivered. It was simply left outside behind one of our cars on the driveway, where my husband happened to find it when he returned home from work.

By the time we eventually received the cake, its condition had also deteriorated badly. It no longer looked fresh or presentable and appeared to have gone off after everything it had been through. I certainly would not have felt comfortable serving it to guests by that point. I have photographs showing the condition it was in afterwards.

The whole experience caused me a considerable amount of stress and disappointment on what was supposed to be a very special milestone birthday. I did everything I reasonably could as a customer: I ordered well in advance, selected delivery for the day before the event, contacted Caker Street when it failed to arrive, explained the urgency, and even provided the venue address in an attempt to resolve the situation.

A birthday cake arriving three days after the birthday party, being left outside without notification and ultimately arriving in a condition where it was no longer suitable for the occasion is simply unacceptable.

This was my 60th birthday, an occasion that cannot simply be repeated because a cake arrived late. I am extremely disappointed with how the entire situation was handled and, based on my experience, I would not trust Caker Street with another important event or celebration.

Awful customer service, all powered by AI. Couldn't talk to a human at all and couldn't cancel my order no matter how many times I called. Calling either leads to an AI chatbot or they will just hang up on you. Not to mention AI images used to advertise their cakes, would not recommend

The Racing Cake I ordered for my son arrived at 9.45am on the requested date of delivery. The cake was well packaged and was in perfect condition. The cake was also very tasty as well. I was a little worried after reading other reviews but we could not fault the service! I will be ordering from them again!

So easy to order and such an easy process to get your cake the hardest part is choosing the cake when you have so many amazing cakes to choose from .

Absolutely delighted with the cake we received. I explained how we needed it to look for our autistic son and they got it spot on. The attention payed to the detail of the characters was great. It was well packaged and arrived in excellent condition.

18 birthday cake for my son. Well I can honestly say it’s the best cake I have ever seen. The detail and the design was amazing. Delivery was great nice and secure. He loved it thank you caker street I will definitely recommend.
