BrightHR onboarding
I recently completed my BrightHR onboarding with Ewan Logsdon and I couldn’t have been happier with the support he provided.
Ewan took me through the whole setup process, helping me create our staff profiles, understand the rota system and get to grips with how to use BrightHR properly. He explained everything clearly, was incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole process feel straightforward and easy to understand.
I have really struggled to get my head around this software in the opast as it's very complicated.
What really stood out was how friendly and approachable he was throughout. Nothing felt rushed and I felt completely comfortable asking questions. He was professional, patient and clearly knows the system inside out.
Ewan is a real credit to the Peninsula/BrightHR onboarding team and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Very disappointed with my experience with BrightHR.
I have been paying around £180 every month for the last two years, despite the fact that I no longer use the service. I contacted BrightHR and explained clearly that I don’t use the service anymore and asked them to cancel it.
Instead of helping me resolve the situation, I feel I was spoken to rudely and was threatened with court action over the cancellation and contract.
I have already paid a significant amount of money over the last two years for a service I haven’t been using, and £180 a month is a lot of money for my business, especially at the moment.
I understand that there may be terms and conditions involved, but I expected to be treated with professionalism and understanding when I contacted them to explain my circumstances.
The repeated contact and threats of legal action have been extremely stressful. I simply want the situation resolved fairly and the service cancelled.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend BrightHR. I hope someone senior at BrightHR will actually look into my case and deal with it properly.

Great Service
Had the pleasure of connecting with Samuel A on 2 occasions within 10 minutes over very simple tasks that I just could not remember how to do, however nothing was too much trouble at all and 5 star service and very prompt at answering too which was beyond helpful. worst company to work with. They unfairly terminated my contract and were rude towards me. And when I wrote a google review against them they threatened me on call to remove it.

Excellent BrightHR Training – Ewan Was Brilliant!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had a BrightHR training session with Ewan today and he was absolutely brilliant. He was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable, and explained everything in a really clear and easy-to-understand way.
Ewan took the time to go through everything thoroughly, answered all of my questions and made sure I was completely comfortable with the system rather than rushing through the training. He was incredibly patient and made the whole session feel relaxed and straightforward.
I came away from the training feeling much more confident about using BrightHR and understanding how to get the most from it. Excellent service from start to finish — Ewan is a real credit to the team. Thank you!

We are a very small business
We are a very small business, with HR managed by one person, and unfortunately BrightHR hasn't been the right fit for us.
Overall, we did not find the service particularly well suited to our needs. I need more practical, tailored support and continuity. I also provided feedback through the software last year explaining that the software and support were not the best fit for our business needs, but this was not addressed.
The sales information described BrightHR as providing “your very own personalised HR support” and said that customers could “rely on us for your day-to-day Employment Law and HR to support your organisation.” It also stated that the software could help businesses “attend to a range of complex and time consuming HR tasks.” In my experience, however, using BrightHR has not reduced the time I spend on HR. I am actually spending more time on HR tasks than I did when we used our previous HR provider.
I was disappointed by the handling of my concerns. I requested a written response before an investigation meeting and made multiple requests for the written outcome afterwards, but it took over six weeks following the meeting to receive one, after which the case was closed.
BrightHR has made suggestions to address some concerns, but overall the process has felt disjointed and lacking in continuity. We are also expected to continue with the service until January 2028, which is disappointing when the service does not meet the needs of our business, despite the impression I was given during the sales process and in the follow-up information provided afterwards.
