BrightHR is actually called Peninsula
BrightHR is actually run by a company called Peninsula that keeps spamming my inbox. I have been to two of their workshops which was incorrectly advertised for Free HR and Employment law advice. It is best described as a sales workshop where they will not provide any advice or support until they have locked you in to a 2-year contract. I am fully aware nothing is free, however misleading people into getting free support but instead touting for sales, is not a good approach. They have to give me a good reason to want to join them. Looking at other reviews I can see some say it is very expensive for what you get, and you are better off paying for a course via ACAS instead. Guess this is what I will do.
Also, this company has no affiliation to BrightPay / BrightSG group. Quite possible this is the reason I keep get spammed both on socials and via email.

Excellent service and support
Abdul was absolutely brilliant throughout the setup process. Really patient, helpful and supportive, he answered all of the questions that I had and made sure that all our payroll account was setup accurately.

The service that i received was just superb and i could not have ask for any thing better and Layla was outstanding
The service that i received was outstanding especially as i was thinking of leaving BrightHR due to the lack of use on my part !! But was brought back to the BR by a lovely lady by the name of Layla , she completely turned me around 360 degrees after explaining to me the better use of the software that i had with the soft which i had really forgotten about. So well done to Layla 10/10 a super phone call which turned a zero into a 10 !

Aggressive sales tactics and long contracts
I run a tiny business and had a problem with one employee. I called Bright HRs sister company Croner and was scared witless by their very aggressive sales tactics, which where I was basically told that I was going to be sued for everything I had. They offered me a package for £185 a month! I said this was too much and then, like a miracle, Bright HR rang (at this time I was unaware that they were connected). When I was told that they could offer the same help, but for a tiny percentage of the cost I was so relieved! The reality was, that I didn't need most of the package and only went on the site a handful of times. I asked to leave, but I had signed up for 3 years and there are no cancellations unless I pay the remainder. I feel that I was misled by the use of scare tactics with a two company tag team approach and I have been left with a bitter taste as I watch the subcription fees leave my account every month!

Exceptional HR expert advice
We moved our HR expert advice provision to BrightHR last year having already used their portal for a number of years. BrightHR provided training on their services and making the most of the portal. We have received excellent advice and support, always in a timely manner, and we couldn't be happier with the service offered.

Unsafe Health and Safety Course
We are required to complete a selection of BrightHR online Health and Safety courses.
Last year when I completed the Electrical Safety Awareness course I reported to BrightHR that one of their answers regarding inspecting electrical equipment was incorrect, potentially dangerously incorrect.
I received no feedback and the question\answer has not been updated.
Follow the advice in their courses at your peril.
Follow up comments -
It is telling that Brighthr respond when I post in a public forum and ignore my previous communications.
The BrightSafe Electrical Safety Awareness Course includes the question -
"How often should you visually inspect an extension cord?"
The correct answer to this should be Daily before use. However this answer is marked as incorrect.

Friendly, Clear and Informative Onboarding Session
I had a really positive onboarding experience with Alice Hackney at BrightHR. The call was clear, well-structured, and tailored to our needs.
Alice was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions without rushing us. She explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, and the follow-up resources and training videos provided are really helpful for reinforcing what we covered.
It was also great to see the additional support options available, including the 24-hour chat service, which gives us confidence that help is there if we need it.
