Avoid this place
The car itself was fine and the location is convenient, but the way this company operates is borderline fraudulent and completely dishonest.
They do not accept debit cards, and on top of that they INVENT extra deposits on the spot. I was forced to pay a €500 deposit for the Via Verde (toll device) with a debit card (€200 if you have a credit card). This condition was NOT stated anywhere during the booking process.
When I pointed this out, the staff member blatantly lied, claiming that this information is shown at the beginning of the booking. It is not. There is absolutely no mention of it.
It gets worse: I explicitly asked the manager whether this deposit would be returned at the moment of car return, and he clearly confirmed that it would. When I came back, they suddenly changed their story and told me I have to wait up to 15 days.
This is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. Changing conditions, hiding fees, and providing false information is not how a legitimate business should operate.
I expect my money to be returned within the stated timeframe. If not, I will not hesitate to take legal action.
Avoid this place at all costs.

This is a review of BeRent / Benerent car rental at Lisbon airport. This is an absolutely fantastic and friendly Portuguese car rental company. I don't know if they are new but they have very new-looking business premises and a modern electronic paperwork system. Everything was clear, logical, fast, and straight-forward. The only additional advice I can give is to make sure you will have the ability to phone them so they can pick you up from the airport.

Paiement de la voiture via le site..arrivé là-bas j appelle déjà ils arrivent pour venir chercher une autre personne je vais à leurs contacts il fait style de pas comprendre..j insiste bizarrement il me dit tout de suite le prénom si j insiste pas je reste à l aéroport...début chaotique ensuite on arrive le gars m envoie dans les bureaux et me parle en anglais alors que je lui parle portugais depuis le début. Ils vont m obligé à reprendre une assurance sinon il faut bloquer 1400e sur mon compte mais pour sa il faut une carte de crédit 🙄donc vente forcé ensuite un dépôt de 200e qui 10min plus tard passe à 500 soit disant une erreur que j'ai refuser de payer il a fait traîner un max pour me faire céder su au final je n'ai pas payé un conseil pour les français payé un peu plus cher car au final je paye 2x plus cher que si j avais pris la voiture à l aéroport .

Desde o momento que nos foram buscar ao aeroporto, dentro do horário, à entrega do carro tudo super eficiente e rápido. Tive um UpGrade sem algum encargo , carro novo, limpo, tanque cheio, super confortável e com todos os extras que facilitam o condutor.

Meeting at the airport went smoothly. The woman who gave us the information about our vehicle and got us going was very kind and friendly. Returning the car was seamless and we had the same person help us with the return. Super service!!

The worst rental experience I’ve had…
The worst rental experience I’ve had and I rent alot of cars. They wanted to charge me €70 cleaning for some sand, I took the car to the local fuel station and spent €1 and 5 minutes hoovering the sand. Then they claimed damage on the underside of the front bumper where it’s likely scuffed the curb when parking for €190, you can’t even see it from a standing position, I highly doubt that damage will ever be repaired they’re just pocketing the €190. What seems good value when you’ve played their game isn’t and there is a long list of rental companies to choose from, price and customer service is the only thing you can compete on, the price was ok, the service was terrible, not alot going for the company, plenty of better ones around to choose from.
