Backflips decluttering concept for cash is great. This concept is way overdue. Pick up and drop off are free and that's a huge plus (though they are not always on time). It is much easier than having a garage sell, selling online or going to a pawn shop. There should be more opportunities like this. With that said, in my opinion, I believe they are way to picky with what they accept for sale. Their website states they accept clothes, decor, jewelry, garage stuff, electronics, etc and they pick it all up, but they send almost everything right back except for the electronics and kitchen gadgets. They also don't pick up anything over 30lbs and don't pay you for anything worth less than $20. I understand they are a business and need to keep cost fair for everyone, but, is it really decluttering my garage/household if most of my items don't qualify? It would be much easier to know what they are looking for exactly. Do they need seasonal? Is clothes bought in bulk? Do they need brand name? Their list is much too vague if they are going to be this picky.

Thank you for the reply. However the list in this link was not originally available when I first began using Backflip. The list that is available now is still not specific. Do you accept only name brand? Do you accept seasonal, such as only winter clothes during the winter? Etc. In addition I have read through many reviews posted by backflip customer on Trustpilot, good and bad, and I've noticed a trend. For ma

MANY of the bad reviews I read, backflip response to the customer by stating that they cannot find an account under that person's name or they blame the mailing service for loosing the customers products or they provide the unspecific link listing the items they "accept" and the "fair prices" they offer. Initially, I was not upset with backflip and was willing to try them again in the future as long as they worked out their kinks, but after reading their rude and defensive responses to the customers that provided less than 5 stars I'm not so sure I want to use them again. I stand by my previous review. Get organized. Improve your platform and improve your customer service.

Pickup was late. I had three big bags full of items, about 6 that still had tags, and tons that were maybe worn once, if at all, and I didn’t even get an offer. No option to choose which items to send back/donate/etc. I’m very upset with this experience.

It was very helpful, my orders were processed at the next day and the payment went right away into my account, very satisfied with the customer service too

The pick up fast and on time! I am so disappointed that a large HUGE box of premium clothing received a $5 offer??!!! So crazy! I was excited about this service and so wanted it to work out. However $5 is almost insulting. Oh well.
They followed up a few weeks later saying that this didn’t happen and asked to edit my review. The shadiest company ever! BEWARE! Happy to share emails proving everything stated.

Backflip was easy to use and prompt in their process. The company kept good communication with me throughout the process and I had no problems cashing out to get my funds. I definitely recommend their services if you're looking to declutter your belongings.

Used backflip after clearing something’s that were just collecting dust and taking up space at home. It was quick to set pick up and received a great offer for my items. I really liked my Backflip experience. I happened to see an ad on Facebook when I was planning to clean out my closet and probably just drop the items at Goodwill. I certainly got more money then I would have gotten if I took my items to Goodwill ($37 vs $0) and I didn't even have to drive or drop them off. Everything was very quick and I was updated along the whole process. I liked that I could still choose to have my items returned to me, since that is definitely not an option if you donate or sell things other places. Ultimately I sold or let you recycle all items but it was still nice to have the option. I liked that you had a few options for payment. I chose Amazon giftcard so i wouldn't need to enter my bank account details so that felt really secure and I got my giftcard SUPER fast. I sent a referral link to my husband, my employees, and my friends in the Houston area. We are moving to a new home soon so I'm sure we will gather up some more items in the process of packing and moving. I intend to use the service again.
