Comprehensive handover of vehicle including some handy tips, vehicle was in excellent condition and performed perfectly and final hand back process was extremely quick and seamless.

"Staff was awesome, upon arriving in Sydney I went to Europe Car, then found out I needed to be at Gold Car. One of the managers on site personally took me to the next location and upgraded me to a brand new vehicle. On returning the car, I did not want to be late and turned up at my drop off time, the attendant asked me if I filled the car, I said no, as I did not want to be late. The attendant said, BP is 5 minutes away, why don't you go fill up, and we will get you right down to the shuttle. Great service, this company cares about it's customers. If you are wanting to make a change to your reservation once you have the car this company isn’t for you. Due to a cancelled flight I wanted to extend my rental by 3 hours but AutoRentals say it’s not part of their policy and the rental company where I got the car say I can only do it through AutoRentals so that leaves me nowhere. I’d also already paid for the 24hrs included in the change but was willing to pay again for the extension but still nobody could help me.

The pricing they display on their site did not include any insurance and only found out when we picked the car up. The cost of the insurance almost doubled an expensive car rental. When we complained that there was a link in the confirmation to the additional conditions at the bottom of that page was a small mention of additional charges that you had to buy in order to rent the car. An expensive lesson.

Booked through autorentals for a car hire with Hertz in Tahiti. When we went to collect car hire at airport, the desk agent advised that we had been booked on a rental that charged a fee per kilometre we travelled in the car (over NZ$1 per km!). Thus, we had to switch to an agreement that had kilometres included, which over doubled our original price that was agreed with autorentals. Prior to this, we had triple checked all terms and conditions on the autorental agreement and nothing mentioned this additional fee. Would not book again.

Initial booking online was straightforward. However, I realized a week before that I had not been offered insurance for my european hire, but had for my England hire. I had to take up insurance when I arrived to collect my car which cost me significantly more.
I ordered a Renault Captur as I wanted a small car for the small Italian towns we were going to, instead, I got a Ford Focus estate, a longer car, wider car than I was wanting, heavier too, yet it came with a piddly 1.0L engine and wheezed its way up italian hills. Was not a pleasant experience.
I needed to call autorentals due to an error on collection, the phone numbers on my hire voucher were disconnected.
In the end what should have cost me $2300 approx, cost me $3500.
Do not use autorentals.com, they will disapoint and cost you dearly.

They charged me the initial payment and never transferred the money over to the rental provider so I end up paying more than the original quote!

Booked a hire car in Dublin Ireland through autorentals.com, they used herzt ireland. Autorentals booked the car hire without basic insurance so i had to pay 107 euro for 4 days, what a scam to keep their prices down. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Everyone was helpful and very friendly. I would definitely use your services again!!!

Car hire AutoRentals and U-SAVE Invoiced me £247.79,
knew I was in trouble when taken late in the day miles from Liberia airport. The vehicle was a disgrace and I let U-SAVE know what I felt, it got very angry, drove away parting with having to pay over $3500, fortunately I got $2500 only after very angry scenes at U-SAVE depot. I have had taken by Mastercard £460.01. I have complained to Mastercard and AutoRentals and surprise surprise got absolutely no where, AutoRentals and U-SAVE Costa Rice are a disgrace, the public have a right to be protected.

I regularly fly to US/Canada and have always used AutoRentals.com for car rental. They always seem to have the lowest prices. The website gives you the charges in the local currency and in GBP. I have never paid upfront allowing you to cancel without any penalty up to the day of rental. The conformation received is the actual price you pay in local currency. They represent a large range of rental companies with a wide choice of vehicle types.
However in cases for North America, the rates are only for the rental and generally does not include any vehicle insurance, CDW or excess. For that reason the rates remain low. So the renter must provide their own insurance or take out the Rental companies own insurance per day which then inflates the final price.

My suggestion for the renter is to purchase an annual rental excess insurance from the UK. They are not expensive and that will avoid having to take out expensive car rental insurance with the rental agency. Take two copies of the policy document showing the name of the Insurance company, insured name, policy number, coverage amounts and any excess. Many insurance companies also include CDW insurance for US and Canada. Hand one copy of the policy to the rental agency to keep with the rental agreement.
In case of damage to the vehicle, you do have to pay upfront and then claim back from the insurance and will involve lots of paperwork.

I have had to make a claim once, but for me I will most probably continue to use Autorentals.com

The lady forgot to tell us how to return the car on a sunday, and she isnsisted scaring us to take insurance. !"

total rip-off, they doubled the price and did not honour the booking agreement. BE WEAR OF ANY DEALINGS WITH THIS RENTAL COMPANY
