Lewis came to do my Dpf he was great very polite and professional definitely recommend them

I have left a one star review with "DPF Specialist" which is part of the AUTO ASSIST GROUP and the company which provides the DPF services to the public.
My review is a reluctant "one star" as I couldn't leave ZERO stars, a common complaint reading the reviews!

I won't go into all my issues with this company and the "service" they provided. I have covered this in my one star review of "DPF Specialist" and can be read in full by doing a search of that company. Needless to say it was a very poor and costly experience.

My advice to any prospective customer would be to read all the "red flag reviews" ie the "one and two star" reviews. My mistake which cost me £400 ( I received a £99 refund as I didn't receive or want the "extras" once I realised what an unprofessional outfit this is).

Looking at Trustpilot's own detailed metrics I discovered that in the last 12 months ,14% of all reviews were "one star". This is different from the overall percentage of the total 395 reviews which is shown as 10%.
Industry wide, a "one star" review rate of 5% and below is considered a good indication that a company is providing a good service to their customers and operating well.

A "one star" review rating of 10-15% indicates that the company (Auto Assist Group/ DPF Specialist) is experiencing "SERIOUS OPERATIONAL ISSUES" with their"one star" review rating of 14%.

So on the basis of customer reviews on Trustpilot, Auto Assist Group/DPF Specialist are experiencing serious operational issues and this is being clearly shown in customer feedback.

DPF Specialist claims on their website "Over 30,000 Successful DPF Cleans nationwide". 30,000 customers but only 395 reviews in total on Trustpilot. Again looking at industry wide figures a company would be looking at a rate of reviews (in any form) between 5 and 10%. So on Trustpilot we should be expecting at least 1500 reviews, but we only have 395 in total and 97 total for the last 12 months. 97 reviews in 12 months of which 13 were "one star".

I am currently trying to obtain a refund through my credit card via Section 75 of The Consumer Credit Act. The company gave me a "refund" as a sign of goodwill (their words) to the value of £99 for items I paid for and didn't receive.

In conclusion. AVOID, AVOID. AVOID.

At the very least ,read all the "red flag" one star and two star reviews.They say "the customer is always right". When it comes to "one star" reviews they can't all be wrong!!

Came out same day so very prompt service. Really good knowledge and expertise from Adam the technician. Explained everything really well and was thorough in what he did. Went above and beyond. Would defintely use again. 10/10

Declan the engineer came when expected and was friendly, very professional and completed the repair. He took time to explain what the issue was and offered further solutions for the future. I would highly recommend them in the future.
However I was offered payment assist to spread the load of a big bill and agreed and paid my initial deposit, but decided not to proceed with the full quote as it was not needed (full service). I contacted payment assist vis email asking them to cancel the credit agreement and refund the outstanding balance but this an only be done from DPS so I contacted them KAV response was they would do it and ensure contract would be cancelled and refund issued. I am concerned that this may effect my credit rating/contract remains in place and no refund is received we shall wait and see?

Great service and friendly staff. After DPF got sorted I took the car down the road and to say it's a vast improvement on performance would be an understatement.
I will certainly be using this service again and recommending it to others

Had a great experience with Lewis today. My car had several exhaust codes and was running poorly, but Lewis was very interactive and took the time to explain everything. After a thorough DPF clean and clearing the fault codes, the car feels brand new. Really appreciate the help! If you have DPF trouble, DPF Specialist and Lewis is the man to see!

Communication was excellent and it was easy to book online until I couldn't remember my card code so I called and explained what I needed and they were very accommodating. The technician Lewis was great he called informing me of arrival time and called to say he was here and was great to ask questions during the whole process. Many thanks and I will recommend to anyone needing a DPF clean.

My DPF filter was full and couldn’t wait to take it into a garage. I called and they came out the next day. Lewis ran the diagnostics and cleaned the filter. It turned out that I needed sensors replacing which they quoted for and Lewis came out again shortly after to change these. It turned out one of the sensors was loose so he didn’t charge me for this part. Lewis was extremely polite, professional, reliable and more importantly fair. I hope to not have any further problems with my DPF but if I did I wouldn’t hesitate to use DPF specialist again.

I needed my dpf cleaning asap and Auto Assist dealt with my request promptly.
The following day Luke turned up and done a full diagnostic test and changed a dpf sensor and done a full clean. He explained the diagnosis and was very efficient. Couldn’t be happier, Thankyou guys, and a special Thankyou to Luke 👍
