Excellent service and well priced
Excellent service and well priced. I needed a replacement windscreen, and found Luton Automotive through “mywindscreen”. They were the first to respond and the nearest. Not quite the cheapest, but I felt more comfortable taking my car to their workshop than having it replaced in the open on my drive. The windscreen had to be ordered in, so having confirmed late Friday afternoon it would not be available until Monday. They kept me updated on progress, and fitted me in as soon as it was received.
Work was carried out in the estimated time, and was all explained when finished.
The only drawback I would say is that the workshop is a bit out of the way, so you either need a pick up or stay while the work is done. There is a place to sit, and tea and coffee is also on offer, so it is no hardship to stay.😊
I would definitely use Luton Automotive again, and not just for windscreens (which I hope I never need again - after 45 years of driving, this is the first I have had to get replaced!).

I needed a windscreen for a Volvo C30 at the last minute due to a big chip (£197.00). Fitted me in and kept me updated with the precise time to arrive. When an unforeseen delay due to another car was apparent, coffee and a good laugh were provided. I had my doubts as they were nearly £100 cheaper than other quotes. They gave me loads of advice, fixed the reason for a leak and although not my closest garage, would deffo consider them for future work.

He took my car and returned it the same way I sent, I assumed nothing was repaired. Didn't provied written report of what was diagnosed and what was fixed. Stayed with my car for almost three weeks.
I noticed he messed up the Fuel gauge, the speedometer and heating system stopped working. Tried to call him as soon as I noticed those issues i mentioned but didn't pick up the phone. I left the voice message but he didn't return my call.
Two days later the father text and promised to call me and he never call again.
I am very disappointed.

Excellent company
Excellent customer service, I needed an emergency windscreen after mine cracked all the way across leaving me car less (second car then came back but I didn't know this at the time so was very worried about getting to and from hospital appointments etc), pregnant and alone with a 2 year old. Luton Automotive came in with a competitive price and could do same day, or weekend fitting. They even travelled to Birmingham to source windscreen when snow prevented it being delivered and offered a mobile service to my home (40 mins away). Highly recommend and very appreciative - thank you.

Fast efficient work and really great price.
I had a slipping clutch diagnosis on my BMW. The main dealer wanted over £3,000 for a replacement.
The quote I got from Luton Automotive was just over a third of that price.
The work was completed very quickly.
Communication was excellent and the Technician we dealt, Zakariyyah was excellent and explained the process thoroughly.
It was insisted that I take Zakariyyah with me on a test drive to ensure I was happy with the ride, which I was.
I’ll definitely be referring to this company for any further work on my car.

Broken my exhaust valves
I don’t write this lightly, as the owner and his son were polite and pleasant to deal with.
I was quoted £500 to have two resonators installed. The work itself was outsourced to a third-party welder.
Unfortunately, when I collected the car, the valved exhaust system was no longer functioning correctly. The valves no longer open and close as they should, meaning I can no longer adjust the exhaust sound.
The exhaust was fully operational before the work was carried out, and I made it clear at the outset that the system was valved.
I’ve since taken the car to a Porsche specialist, and the current view is that the issue is likely internal to the exhaust valves. The most probable outcome is that the exhaust will need repair or replacement.
I was told that the issue may be due to the actuator not being strong enough, which doesn’t align with the fact that the system worked perfectly prior to the welding work.
As a result of this experience, I can’t recommend this company. I’m now facing a repair or replacement cost of approximately £1,250 to resolve an issue that arose directly after the work was completed.

Took in our car for repair
Took in our car for repair. I was told they needed £700 to fix it which I paid. 4 weeks later (after chasing) I was told they will they made the repair but the car had major issues and the money couldn't be refunded and planned to fix the car. 3 months later (after chasing every week), they advised they would pay me for the car instead as they couldn't fix it but couldn't return the car as they had put too much labour into it. Never received the money. Unfortunately I feel scammed by them

Poor workmanship AND they broke my car
Sadly, pretty incompetent. Having booked (and confirmed) a windscreen replacement and travelled to their location, they hadn't ordered the windscreen. 2 days later when I again drove to them for my rescheduled booking they told me they had ordered the wrong windscreen (non-heated, despite them confirming twice that they were ordering the heated version I wanted). I reluctantly agreed to get it installed because by then they had already taken the old windscreen out and I was stuck - but then to cap it off, the next day it's leaking. Oh, and there was a seal not put back on at the bottom of the windscreen, so there was a huge amount of wind noise on the way home. I would ordinarily go back and ask them to fix, but I don't trust their competence anymore. I'm going to have to get a different company to replace this brand new windscreen with the correct version now :-( Hopefully they'll do a better job!
Update - oh my god - a few days later I've found out that they've also broken the bonnet release, so I'm now going to have to get that fixed. There was no mention of any problems during the installation. And when I spoke with the owner, he refused to discuss any compensation and just said the damage was due to wear and tear of the car.
All in all, a thoroughly untrustworthy and negligent company that I'd encourage anyone to avoid like the plague!

I experienced an issue with my window clamp while traveling from Edinburgh to London, and the team’s response was outstanding. Despite not having the part immediately available, they acted quickly and had everything resolved within 36 hours.
