Catherine is always available to us and a huge help.

I have the opportunity to travel to New York because it is close to Connecticut, meet new people from different places and be able to improvise the language, visit places I have always wanted to see in different seasons of the year such as spring and winter.

I had a great experience.

I really like the accompaniment of my area director because i feel that she seeks the best for both parts. My rating that i give is not perfect because i lived a very stressful and frustrating rematch process with the system because i did not like that if the families do not remove you from their interviews it does not allow you to come more people and they are the ones who do not respond, on the other hand i think that there is not a strong consequence for the family as for the au pair and it does not seem fair to me that the process is so square because in the end as an au pair you sacrifice a lot to be here and it should be evaluated according to the type of rematch.

I'm really having a good family connection, I feel well-welcomed and well treated, this becomes my experience a little better

March was such a special month for me in the U.S. I experienced so many things for the first time, like paying taxes and learning about credit, which made me feel more independent and grown. I also met new friends and created beautiful memories. And now with spring starting, I feel even happier and excited for what’s coming next

My group and I went in a hike with our LCC and it was really nice! I liked a lot and could meet new au pairs there, and heard some histories about my lcc and her experience as an area director.

The agency was very supportive whenever I had difficulties and provided good follow-up throughout my journey. After being placed with a first family where things did not go well, I am very happy that I was able to rematch and find the best host family. We share wonderful moments together, and at the same time I am also able to fully enjoy my life in the USA.

Even though I have some difficulty with English, the family is patient, and I am already taking care of part of the paperwork.

Lucky to find a good family and great friends. I love the program, but I was lucky to find great families with amazing kids twice. Not everyone has the same experience as me, and that's unfortunate, hope the agency keeps looking after both au pair and families in the program for a good experience. Some rules and expectations need to change tho, specially the minimum stipend, benefits and hours. And both au pairs and families need to understand the program better!

My experience with AuPairCare was incredible, and I would highly recommend this program to others. What made it great was the support I received from my Area Director, Emina Volker. She was always available, patient, and genuinely cared about my well-being throughout my stay. Whenever I had questions about my responsibilities or needed advice on handling a situation with my host family, she provided clear guidance and encouragement.

The pre-arrival and in-person training sessions were very helpful and prepared me well for my role as an au pair. I also appreciated the social events organized by AuPairCare, which allowed me to meet other au pairs and build a wonderful community of friends from all over the world. There is a clear disconnect between what AuPairCare communicates to host families versus prospective au pairs. Au pairs seem to be led to expect a travel and school experience with some childcare, while host families are relying on consistent, capable support.

When that gap shows up, the risk—both financial and liability—falls largely on the host family. In our experience, when issues arise, AuPairCare tends to side with the au pair rather than fully addressing host family concerns. It’s incredibly frustrating

My Area Director Bonnie Witkosky has been more than helpful during my program, she is very reliable and we can count on her to solve almost any issue that we have. She's available if we have any concerns and has made my stay better since coming under her motherly wing:)
