work well done…

Work took a extra day because of rotten floor boards that had to be removed and replaced, this was done very professionally and with care so that the end result was a shower unit that was perfect.

Altogether most satisfactory

Thorough initial survey, all clearly explained.
The parts were all delivered in advance, so that the installation engineer could start work as soon as he arrived - which was just as well as it took him all of a long day to finish the job.
Result - wonderful. Thoroughly recommended.
There was then an inspection a few days later to make sure that all was well. It was.

Disgusting Workmanship......

Disgusting Workmanship......

Relating to a nearly 18 month old installation.......

1.

When installing the Walk in Shower for my then, 90yr old Mother, they caused damage to a tongue and groove floor board, in such a manner as to make it unsafe to walk upon that area of floor in the Bathroom on the 1st floor. If my Mother had trodden in that area she may well have gone through the floor and ceiling below (I was obviously the first person to stand in the specific area.... even after @ 18 months..... ) as I was the person who nearly went through ......

2.
During the Installation, they had to roll back and or remove the vinyl flooring to:-

A) Remove / Smash the existing enameled cast iron bath.

B) Install the Walk in Shower Unit/Module.

During this process and.... remember.... The Vinyl Flooring is rolled / folded back, alot of detritus is generated, saw dust, small plastic off cuts, plastic screw dress covers dropped 🫳 ......

What they did next beggars belief.....

They folded the Vinyl Flooring back .... on top of rubbish.... left it.... didn't attempt to clear up.....

They don't know how to use a dustpan and brush or hoover.....

Shoddy isn't the word.

I only discovered this shocking state on Sunday Morning because of the floorboard issue when repositioning the Vinyl Flooring (which is Siliconed at the edges.....) to say they sealed their fate... is putting it mildly......

They said they'd would want my mother to pay for an inspection of their shoddy work practice.... as it's "Out of Guarantee".......

I rang hem to ask an Inspector to come and look at his companies work so as to go back and show his colleagues how IT SHOULD NOT BE DONE!.......

Nope... Customer Services said.... it's chargeable....

No longer under Guarantee..... It's Chargeable.....

I rang yourselves a total of 4 times, earlier today I requested a call back and that I'd possibly be out of coverage as that is the nature of my Job, I spoke with the Guild of Master Craftsmen, they were very disappointed with your attitude. I.E. my Mother as a customer should pay for one of your "Inspectors" to come and look at such a badly "finished" job......

Please call me between the hours of 07:00 and 15:30 Mon - Thursday or Friday 07:00 - 14:00.

In theory I should be under WiFi or Cell network.

If not please be so kind as to leave a message containing your number, name position within the company and extension, when I'm able to I shall ring back.

You've nit published to myself or here your "Inspectors full report, please be so kind as to do so, then .... and only then shall I amend my initial "report" reference the "Walk in Shower installation, as a side note, your Inspector personally knows the "Installer" that carried out the installation, hopefully he's been able to have a quiet word regarding the detritus/rubbish left insitu....

This is clearly unacceptable and we have left several messages with you this afternoon for more information and advising you that we will be sending an inspector to site ASAP. A very clear and well explained initial…

A very clear and well explained initial visit to explain the work to be carried out. The work was carried out as planned by very efficient duo of workers. again all work was explained in detail including a couple of small snags (due to the plumbing in our house). Very pleased with the installation and all rubbish cleared and taken away.

Quick and Efficient lovely result…

Delivery time was not long from placing order. Communication good at notifying me of delivery of shower and when plumber due to install. Even though he had a bath to remove, the shower was installed and finished by lunch time to use next morning. Tiler arrived next day and completed his area in a couple of hours.Had I got a local plumber to do this it would have taken him at least two days with the cost of a shower enclosure and electric shower on top, which would have cost a lot more in the long run. And it’s a lovely shower to get in and enjoy with hardly any cleaning needed.

Good workmanship

From survey to fitting was 5-6weeks all parts arrived day before fitter who was on the doorstep at 8am and did not stop until 6.15 pm laid dust sheets and cleaned as he went fitted shower and toilet did a fantastic job.

New bathroom instalation

Aquability is an excellent company if you need a new shower unit installed the catalogue does not do it justice very good engineer asking questions I had he answered very well well organised and showed me certain things he was doing to make sure everything was ok all mess cleared up after job and all the old bathroom stuff was collected the next day

Aquability wins hands down

Aquability gave good service from the initial phone call to the end. They gave good advice and my plans changed to the installation of a walk in bath/shower. This indeed will enable independent living for the future.
The bathroom suite arrived and a week later it was installed. The gentleman was able to work around
some problems, thinking outside the box.
The bath and shower worked well for my needs.
The after completion, the gentleman who checked the work on completion was polite, knowledgeable and respectful, as were all the staff from Aquability.
I will recommend this company.

Fault on external electric cable, poor after sales care

Fault on external electric cable, plastic disintegrating exposing live wires. I phoned an electrician, who said he's not able to repair it due to warranty issues. I spoke to Aquability who straight away said call out is £99 plus parts as my warranty has expired. The system was £8000 a few years ago, so a cable shouldn't rot in that time. Unfortunately I didn't see all the bad reviews, and I would not have purchased from them. No apology from them. I am informing their CEO as they are conning elderly disabled people into buying substandard equipment. BEWARE.

Exceptionally well knowledgeable to…

Exceptionally well knowledgeable to know their customers needs, Technician, was precise in detail, all done in a day, it looks very modern, we had walk in shower/ bath with automatic Seat, up and down with hand control for customers safety and comfort, we need a new bath, but just forward thinking this would much benefit us in later year's also had the jet spa bath but in the design of the bath so this would fully be a benefit for both of us.

Good job all round.

From when David arrived to do the surveys right up to Mike doing the fitting we've found Aquability a good company to work with. Not pushy or arrogant, offered what we asked for not something we didn't, and only quoted once they had done a full survey and measurements, and done a full plan (unlike some). Mike arrived when expected and fitted the shower in one (long) day on his own which was convenient for us and him. He did a good job working with the foibles of our cottage and its smallish cottage bathroom and left things tidy both in the bathroom and where the items had been stored. And to top it off the disposal company turned up the next day to take the old bath away. Thank you, we are very happy with our shower.

The bath looks good.

Overall I am pleased with the bath. George did an amazing job with the fitting leaving the room spotless.
I have given 4 stars because I do have a couple of niggles.
The bath was delivered on 5th April
Booked for fitting on 10th.
On 9th the booking was cancelled by you.
Earliest re booking date 22nd.
This meant I had the bath in my dining room for 16 days.
23rd April used the bath after waiting 24hrs. There was water squirting out the side of the tap up the wall.
Reported it there and then and was told they couldn't get anyone out to rectify it until 25th (approximately 36 hours later). In this time I was having to turn the water on and off at the mains, not ideal.
Regarding the spa jets when I turned it on it was like a tsunami, very powerful, water shot out everywhere.
I think there should be written information given when the bath is installed.

I had been in the bathroom business

Having been in the bathroom business many years previously I was very impressed by the surveyor in the first place. I did not believe the work could be done in one day but in the end it was done to my satisfaction in just over half a day.

Please read this before purchasing.

This is a genuine review that I'm doing for my 86 year old friend Mrs Webb. She saw Aquability advertise on TV it was exactly what she wanted and called them. A surveyor came and an order was placed for a new walk-in shower her main stipulation was 'No shower curtains' (without consulting anyone) She does not have Internet so was unable to check reviews etc. The install was below a good standard. The floor moved, had to be replaced. The door opened inwards and the seat was behind the door as was the shower unit. So you had to get in the shower then cise the door to be able to turn it on and stand back quickly until it got to temperature. The door handle was si close to the frame it trapped your fingers. The wall hung chair was placed too high and her head hit the shower unit! And guess what? They installed a shower curtain!!! that she specifically stated she didn't want! She didn't want a shower curtain because it sticks to your body, eventually goes mouldy and looks tacky. After a few phone calls to them to chase and find out what they were going to do about it I was told 'that's not my department! I explained to them that as far as we are concerned, you all work for Aquability and that's who we have paid! It was eventually replaced and matched the original order. I would like you all to know that they leave your existing tiles on the walls, their design is a rigid moulded plastic system that is fitted to your existing walls and floor. It looks tacky (lots of plastic) and the price compared to using a bathroom fitter is extortinate. The only part of it that is of any good quality is the shower unit. Please check these companies out before you purchase. There is a reason they only have a low star rating. They only give you a 12 month guarantee and then start asking you to join a service contract and telling you how expensive it is if it breaks down. Bearing in mind the majority of their customers are elderly and will all panic and pay it.

Thank you for writing a review on behalf of your friend. We have tried to contact Mrs Webb regarding this review but understand she has unfortunately moved into care. As far as we were aware, Mrs Webb was extremely happy with the work we did to re-configure the module, including supplying glass sliding doors at no additional cost, due to her experiencing difficulties using the module as it was originally installed (which incidentally was exactly as per the contract documents and our advertising literature). We're extremely sorry to hear otherwise.
With regard to your other comments, I would like to assure you that it is normal practice for us to leave existing tiles behind the module as this enables us to install quickly without mess or fuss.
The extended warranty is entirely optional and most of our customer's do not purchase one, however, some do like the added peace of mind that it brings.
We hope this information helps. If you have now moved into the property and require a service visit at any time, we would be happy to attend, however VAT would be chargeable.

My Walk--Bath.Everything was straight forward and…

Everything was straight forward and done to our satisfaction on the agreed date.
The installers were friendly , knowledgeable and very tidy.
We were given a clear dry run of the operation of the walk-in-bath afterwards.
However, when taking my 1st bath I'd forgotten how to regulate the temperature of the water tap.
I received a friendly customer service response to my call who advised me and put everything right.
It would be helpful to have a small brochure/check list just in case.
