Fun day, beautiful walk to the glacier. Guide was top-notch.

We enjoyed the glacier hike and the beautiful views! I will say it was much more physically demanding than expected for something labeled easy-moderate. Guide was knowledgeable and helpful but hiked very quickly.

Alex was a great guide for the arctic caves, we had a blast and it was such a goergeous experience. Would HIGHLY recommend Alex and this excursion in general! But Alex definitely made it fun and easy.

Met my expectations for a fantastic holiday.

The tour was so fun! Your first stop on the way to the peninsula is to grab lite food for lunch on the lava field. The highlight was hiking the lava field- be prepared to walk up and down inclines. I’m glad I brought a walking pole.

My mom and I booked the easy glacier hike, and while we enjoyed getting to experience the glacier, there were parts of the tour that we felt could have been handled much better.

The tour description mentioned approximately a 20-minute walk to the glacier. In reality, this felt more like a hike over gravel and uneven terrain rather than a simple walk. That distinction is important, especially for guests choosing the “easy” option based on the description.

We also felt that the pace was fairly moderate and wasn't adjusted much for different walking speeds. Ideally, guests should have been given the option at the outset to divide into faster- and slower-paced groups. That would have allowed everyone to choose what was most comfortable without anyone feeling singled out.

Instead, partway through the tour, our first guide approached us about switching to the other guide. We were completely fine with switching and going at a slower pace. What we didn't appreciate was that this option was only introduced after the tour was already underway, rather than being offered from the beginning.

The way the switch was communicated also made the interaction uncomfortable. Our first guide told us that the other guide was “better” than him. We understood that he may have been trying to make us feel better about switching, but it came across as a form of reverse psychology and felt patronizing rather than reassuring.

We would have had a much more positive experience if the terrain and expected pace had been communicated more accurately beforehand, and if guests had been given different pacing options from the start. The issue wasn't being placed with a slower group—we were perfectly comfortable with that—it was how and when the situation was handled.

We did three tours with this company in total. One of them was the Kerlingarfjöll Hiking Day Tour, which takes you into Iceland’s central Highlands and includes the Hveradalir geothermal area.
We contacted the company before departure to confirm whether the tour would run despite the severe weather conditions, especially as the same tour had been cancelled the previous day. We were assured that it would proceed, but the tour was ultimately cancelled due to the weather.
We then booked the next available tour, which is the one described below.
Once we arrived, the weather was clearly unsafe, with strong winds, heavy rain, and very poor visibility. The main hike, which was the reason most people had booked the tour, was cancelled shortly after we started. We were then left waiting for over 30 minutes in extreme weather conditions after being told it would only be 10–15 minutes. During that time, a member of our group suffered a panic attack and collapsed in the mud while trying to get back.
The problems continued with a bus door that would not stay closed and a later breakdown that left us stranded.
We understand that weather cannot be controlled. What is concerning is that the tour went ahead despite obvious safety concerns, the main activity was not delivered, and customers were unnecessarily exposed to risk.
To make matters worse, the company initially refused any meaningful compensation. Only after we repeatedly insisted on a refund were we offered a small fraction of the amount paid.
Overall, a very poor experience across all three tours, both from a safety and customer service perspective.

I booked on the 8 day tour. This ended up being a 6 day tour and the 2 x 1 day tours.
The reason this was a problem was the different guides didn’t appear to speak with each other and couldn’t answer my questions about logistics as I was shifted from tour to tour.
I think the marketing of the tour is a bit misleading in that regard.
The comfort of the vehicles varied across the 3 tours. On the last day our bus broke down causing much delay.

Really great glacier hike - they changed our trip due to pending storm, but were great in communicating the change and adjusting the cost. I do think all the tours are pretty much the same - so book any that are "glacier hike" and you will be good. Phillip was a great guide!

Our guide Adolph was enthusiastic and engaging, and made up all feel comfortable and safe thru the ever changing weather conditions, besides his safe driving comfortable bus conditions while spending some hours traveling with many comfort stops

Our guide Steven was attentive to the group's needs. He provided a good informations and answered all ququestion. We were confident.

We think the hot spring activity is considered to be removed，Maybe half of us go to go there, and the rest of people are waiting in the car. it wastes time, and maybe it can save us some money if it is removed. The overall hiking experience is good.

When you book a tour to see the Aurora Borealis, you hope the weather gods will be kind, while knowing there are no guarantees. After all, the elements don’t perform on command. Since it was very cloudy when I went on my Northern Lights Super Jeep tour, I had low expectations. But thanks to Hjörtur’s expertise, persistence, plus a dash of good luck, my group ultimately was able to see the Northern Lights. He knows how to track and chase open spots in the cloud cover, what locations would give us the best chance, and what to watch for in the skies. As it was, it took us multiple attempts at different locations to find a clear spot. The lights were faint, and an amateur like me would definitely have missed the signals. Hjörtur’s dry wit and upbeat banter made the whole experience fun and enjoyable, even without the Aurora. Seeing the Northern Lights has been on my bucket list for a long time, and it is thanks to Hjörtur that this dream has been fulfilled. If you book with Arctic Adventures, do whatever you can to get on his Jeep.

We hebben een tour door Landmannalaugar gedaan, met een rare start. Zowel in de mail als op de website staat dat we vanaf Hella tussen 9 en 9.30 uur op de afgesproken locatie moesten staan. Echter was de bus er al om 8.45. Omdat ik mijn telefoon op stil had staan, had ik hun belletje gemist dat ze naar ons op zoek waren. Ze zijn dus gewoon doorgereden. Uiteindelijk konden we naar een andere locatie toerijden en alsnog mee met de bus, die flexibiliteit was heel fijn! De tour zelf was ook fantastisch. Maar wel heel raar dat de bus eerder dan afgesproken gewoon vertrokken is.

Great guide. Plenty of time to see the attractions.Lots of explanation about what we were seeing. Tour was relaxed, humorous and professional.

Our guide Wilmer was incredible! Off-roading back into behind the mountains was fantastic and we got to see the black sand beaches and surrounding area, amazing views, and the spectacular glacier and ice caves! Wilmer was fun, knowledgeable, and made sure we had a chance for photos and videos and made the experience special! Everything was provided as stated and the whole time was worth every penny, and we had a great time we will never forget!

Arny was AMAZING! She let us know the plan for the day, about how long to the next stop, gave us the option if we wanted to make other stops along the way. She was extremely personable, friendly, gave us wonderful information regarding the history, culture, and folklore of Iceland. We got to see, feel, eat a real sampling of Iceland! The booking process was easy. If I had any questions, the call center was prompt, friendly, and provided detailed answers. Hotel arrangements were all made for us. We couldn't have asked for a better tour experience!

Chris was an excellent guide and the itinerary was quite comprehensive. Suggested improvements: Too little time to enjoy the sights which were amazing. Most stops were for 30 mins to 45 mins, barely enough time to appreciate the places. The bus was also too small for so many of us, leg space was minimal and was tough for such long rides.
