Viknar fue un gran acompañante, siempre amable y dispuesto a ayudar. Además nos alimentó con blueberries que él mismo cortó 🤭
Siggi en el glaciar nos explicó mucho y fue muy divertido y agradable.
Todo nos pareció excelente, tal vez el único puntito malo sería el hotel de Reikiavik, que estaba lejos del centro.
Y muy triste que no pudimos ver las auroras ningún día 😭
Pero su país es increíblemente hermoso!!!! Gracias por todo.

Our driver Franklin who is enthusiastic about his job and was telling us interesting stories while he was driving us from Reykjavik to the siteseeings. Our glacier hiking guide Lucas was also fantastic and attentive during the whole hike. Thank you for the great time!!

This was our first experience doing a group tour and we had such an amazing time. Our tour guide, Óskar had to make some.minor modifications to the tour itinerary due to rain and wind but he always found the most beautiful, scenic places to share with us. He was constantly in contact with road control to ensure safe passage on the roads due to the high winds and kept us informed along the way. He shared interesting history and facts with us about Iceland, along with his favorite places for food and desserts. I cannot recommend a tour with Óskar highly enough!!! We really enjoyed the extras as well, we did the glacier hike, whale watching tour and Earth Lagoon, all of which exceeded our expectations. The guides on the glacier explained everything well and provided a lot of guidance to keep us safe. We saw several whales and porpoises during the trip. The guides were knowledgeable and seemed truly excited to provide us an excellent experience. All contacts to customer service were answered within a reasonable amount of time and were always very helpful. Our experience exceeded all of our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to book woth Arctic Adventures again!

Our guide Paul was a wonderful ambassador for Iceland! He shared so many good things about his country that he honestly made me want to live there! He also took us off the itinerary to help us better understand Iceland’s history and culture, which made the experience even more special.

We loved his stories and fun facts, especially the things we never would have thought to look up ourselves. He made the tour feel personal and gave us so much more than sightseeing. I’m already planning to return to Iceland for a longer visit and I’d love to book with Arctic Adventures and Paul again!

I waited at the meeting point starting at 8:00 AM, but they didn't arrive until 8:40 AM. Looking through other reviews, it seems being late is a regular habit for them, which makes it even more disappointing. I was left shivering outside in the cold without any heads-up or contact about the delay. Absolutely the worst experience.

The tour was beautifully designed, but it was Þröstur who made it exceptional. He constantly adapted the itinerary around the weather and road conditions, and tailored the experience to the people in our group. That flexibility only comes from real experience, and it showed every day.

He has a rare balance. He is easygoing and relaxed, yet always kept us on track. He is clearly well read, with so much to share about his country, and his passion for the job shines through. He never tried too hard or forced the jokes. He was simply warm, approachable and genuinely attentive, and he regularly checked in on me throughout the trip.

When the group raised political or contentious questions, he answered calmly and diplomatically. His maturity and composure stood out.

Any group that gets Þröstur as their guide is incredibly fortunate. I'm so glad my first experience of Iceland was through him.

9/10. Once in a lifetime experience! Very very nice. Would definitely recommend to everybody. The only thing to change is to give the clients waterproof gloves. Or at least tell them to bring waterproof gloves. The rains and cold made our finger really really painful.
But would definitely recommend everyone do this

Our guide was fantastic and the tour was great. It was really cool being able to see the volcano and where it had erupted.

The guides were always pleasant and helpful. They took the time to explain each location and went out of there way to adjust our sights to take the changing weather in mind

We did two tours with arctic adventures- all well organized with cool guides who told us a lot about the country and its people - Magnus also told us a few sagas vividly and cared especially about our safety. Thank you for the great time we had!

We took the 6 Day Around Iceland Adventure Tour at the end of Sept. to early Oct. 2026 and it was an amazing experience! Our guide Mathu (spelling?) was fantastic and super informative. His ability to drive safely while taking about the schedule and sites was impressive. His educational background in archaeology definitely added to the overall experience for our energetic group of travelers. He was always willing to help and accommodate the different needs of our varied age group. The bus was clean, comfortable and the stops were plentiful despite the daily rains and strong winds.

The Vatnajökull Glacier Hike was both exhilarating and breathtaking. The hike onto the glacier really got the blood pumping. Our hike guide Christian from Poland and he helped us take photos safely and explained how to properly use the crampons on the glacier. The views were one of a kind and this is a don't miss part of the Iceland adventure.
The hotels we stayed in were very clean and provided everything we needed to rejuvenate. We especially enjoyed our stay at the Wilderness Center / Óbyggðasetur Íslands Norðurdalur in Fljótsdalur. The museum on the property was interesting and getting to see the Icelandic horses (thanks Natalia) and the sheep up close was a treat. Breakfast and dinner plentiful and very tasty too!
Our stay at Hotel Laugarbakki was great too! Our room was extra spacious and it was interesting to learn about the history of the hotel as a former school. We splurged on a 3 course dinner in the hotel's restaurant that night and it was a real treat.
Mathu took us to so many waterfalls and other sites that I lost track, but we definitely hit the big ones like Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Goðafoss, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, Barnafoss, Hraunfossar, Diamond Beach, black sand beaches with basalt columns and so much more.
We were thrilled to see two humpback whales breaching on our whale watching portion of the tour with Wildlife Adventures in Eyjafjordur Fjord on the Lilja. The boat was spacious and very comfortable. They provided waterproof suits to help keep us warm and dry while allowing access to the decks for better viewing.
Another highlight was our stop at the Earth lagoon to enjoy the thermal pools. Everyone was ready for some time to ease the sore muscles from hiking to the numerous waterfalls, rivers, the glacier, mud pits, craters, and walks around the towns. The lagoon was beautiful, with nice facilities, including a steam room and poolside bars. It didn’t feel as touristy as Blue Lagoon.
I wouldn’t hesitate to book this Arctic Adventure tour! You will complete the entire Ring Road around Iceland and make amazing memories for a lifetime.

3 groups in the same bus with different activities is a lot of management. We came back at 10PM. It’s too late. We thought we will be back at 8:00PM. We registered for the walk on the glacier which started at 3:00 PM.

We loved our glacier lagoon tour, we wish it was even longer! So fun to see the ice bergs up close. Loved the small groups. Greg and Mars were great! We will be back!

Our 2 guides were very kind, iceberg hiking just blow my mind

Our six day tour was excellent mainly due to our amazing guide, Ronan. He was knowledgeable, fun, and kept us safe from the challenging weather conditions. We enjoyed his numerous stories about elves, trolls, and other creatures and his incredible knowledge of Icelandic history. Around every corner, the scenery was amazing. The accommodations were better than expected and the food, while expensive, was very good.

We were worried it would be cancelled because of the rain and wind (and wouldn't be able to reschedule with the timing of the trip) but it was thankfully still a go even on a day when other companies cancelled! We weren't early as recommended but that was okay since there was about a 30-minute guide intro/instructions at the beginning.

Marketa was an amazing guide and told us many glacier facts from how they are formed to how climate change is impacting them. We were also a small group of just 9 which was lucky, since some groups seemed as large as 20. The hike was not very strenuous except for the first climb up the slope for about 15 minutes. Marketa even let us put our ice picks in the glacier to pretend we were climbing for a photo op, and there were lots of photo ops along the way! All in all was about 4 hours, a bit longer than expected but no complaints! Make sure you are dressed for the weather and eat before hand or bring some granola bars!

Fun day, beautiful walk to the glacier. Guide was top-notch.

We enjoyed the glacier hike and the beautiful views! I will say it was much more physically demanding than expected for something labeled easy-moderate. Guide was knowledgeable and helpful but hiked very quickly.
