Excellent Service on a Complex Expat Remortgage & Staircasing Case
Don't worry about any negative reviews you might have read here. I recently completed my remortgage with staircasing (shared ownership) to 100%, and it was a complicated case since I’m an expat living outside the UK and taking out a buy-to-let mortgage with some restrictions on the title. Despite all this happening at once, Optima Legal, especially Martin, was very helpful, communicative, and supportive, providing clear details and feedback throughout the entire process.
You can expect a response within 24 to 48 hours whenever you raise concerns or questions on the portal, and they always provide satisfactory answers.
Also, setting the right expectations is key! I started in early January and just finished at the end of March.

Their online tool is great as it keeps me informed and I can access whenever I want. The process is so slow and confusing for something that should feel like a walk in the woods. You are late, but you are receiving an automated message saying that if you do not hear from Optima, it means you are on track.
The worst experience I’ve had in a long time, and we’re talking about solicitor services.

Very quick and efficient online portal. Tracker visual was very helpful for knowing latest updates. Always got a response to messages within 24 hours. On occasions when I needed to talk to an advisor this was also fairly easy and always helpful. I would recommend and I would use again!
