I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received regarding my remortgage application. The process has been significantly delayed, and as a result, my previous mortgage deal has ended before you completed the application. This has caused me to incur additional interest charges.
Throughout the process, communication has been very poor. I have repeatedly had to call for updates, as I was not proactively informed of progress or issues. Despite my mortgage term ending, the application still has not been completed, which is unacceptable.

I was advised by Barclays that they could supply a solicitor on my behalf for the transfer of my mortgage from my existing lender... I'm glad I decided to use there recommendation. Optima Legal did it extremely smoothly and the client portal made it so easy to navigate. I never actually spoke over the phone to my solicitor, as I missed a couple of calls. But honestly, It wasn't needed as the whole process was simple & straight forward and easily done online.

I had a very disappointing experience with this company. The process took far longer than it should have, particularly the ID checks and transfer of deeds, with no clear explanation for the delays.
Because of this, I missed the deadline for my previous mortgage and was moved onto a higher-interest flexible tariff, which has cost me financially. This situation could and should have been avoided.
Communication was especially poor. I called multiple times and was repeatedly told someone would call me back – this never happened. Email responses were also slow and unhelpful, making it very difficult to get any clarity on what was going on.
We were told that the trust of deeds was separate from the remortgage, and our broker confirmed this should not have caused delays, yet it clearly did. There was also no justification for why my photo ID was not checked earlier in the process.
Overall, I feel let down by the lack of efficiency and communication, and frustrated that I have been financially impacted as a result. I would not recommend based on this experience.
