TERRIBLE SERVICE. Every time I call they are extremely rude and useless. The third operator I was just on the phone to hung up the phone on my face because he didn't know how to resolve my issue.

123 Reg was a good company but has turned it into a completely unhelpful, unstable service!
They are constantly going down often with no information posted on their status website, leaving everyone without the services they need and paid for with no reason as to why!
Don't use them even to talk to them now no one cares and can't help just basically tell you to wait and the services will be back shortly but this is a daily occurring event! YOU AND YOURE COMPANY WILL SUFFER!

We are having the same problem as everybody else. Domain suspended, reminders sent to wrong email, take 72 hours to respond to any question. Have been without email for 10 days. Customer service are powerless and demenad new information each time.

Really unhelpful support. I made a phone call and was advised to buy a package to fix my issue - not true wasted my money they refused to refund me as i took more than 30 days to realise it was unusable after employing someone with It knowledge - so dreadful experience- the only way to complain was to raise a ticket and I wasn't allowed to speak to anyone. I was also with TSOHOST and i don't believe i would have the same issue with them and believe i would have not been sold the unusable package.

We were with TSO Host and we had all our domains with them. TSO provided an excellent service but, have been taken over by 123reg. 123 have been sending out renewals to wrong emails which we have not received and subsequently they have suspended our domains. In order to renew we need to provide evidence which we have a few times now but, their response is extremely slow. I do have the username and password to log into account but, they send the code to the email which has been suspended hence, we cannot see the code. We have explained over the phone several times that we can renew over the phone but, they keep telling us that it's in the hands of the account recovery team who only respond via, email. We initially made the contact via, an online form at 14:59 on 31st of March 2025 and the issue has still not been resolved due, to a lack of communication. The customer service team keep telling us that they will escalate the issue but, nothing happens. In meantime, we cannot receive emails, business is suffering and this is the worst ever customer experience our business has ever encountered. It is shameful in all honesty.
Customer support is dire
Customer support is dire, takes days to respond to support tickets, these should be responded to within a few hours not days, if you speak to one of them it is pot luck you get someone who actually has any experience with the issues concerned, cheap hosting means cheap company which is why they cannot afford compotent staff, what is the point of this company? They are owned by the group that owns Webfusion so no wonder it is worse than terrible

They turned off the nameservers for accounts migrated from TSO Host without any warning and have not automatically updated our accounts.
I have to wait 72hours (weekday only) for them to validate my details because I cannot get a code because their actions have stopped my email from working. My website is also down so my business is suffering.
Frustration at 123 reg
I had some websites moved from another host when 123 reg took them over and I have emailed 1213 reg 5 times without a response to access my account

Awful awful awful! I was with TSOHOST and with them I had zero issues with hosting and emails. Now that 123reg have taken over I have no emails anymore and their Account recovery people are useless, as are their call centre staff who keep claiming impotence in being able to help me … each email I’ve been asked to send the account recovery team has not been responded to within a week. This is costing me money and customers.
60% price increase
60% price increase, overnight, with the "migration" from tsoHosts. Gross money grabbers.
123 Reg needs to be reported to Ofcom…
These guys need to be reported to Ofcom for this level of service, which should be able to review their license to operate in the UK. This level of service is criminal, and the customer service agents are shockingly rude. Our websites are down, and all their interested in changing the hosting packages the inherited from Tso Host. Nobody seems to care, asked for a manger, no response still. Three tickets pending. Unbelievable! I too had an agent hang-up on me. Happy to support class action to take the matter to Ofcom.
I've had a ticket open for 3 weeks…
I've had a ticket open for 3 weeks because overnight, all of my websites had Wordpress de-attach, and all my websites pointed to the same domain.
I rang Sales and asked them how long it took to deal with a ticket, and they said "24 hours"... We're now around 504 hours and they still haven't fixed their own issue.
I've been with 123-Reg about 15-20 years, but I'm getting the hell out of here. Like many others seem to be doing!

Agent literally put the phone down on me after querying what the expected timescales for my simple account reset problem to be rectified were. The next agent couldn't be bothered to explain the process and couldn't wait to get off the phone. Absolute crap customer service looking forward to migrating to any other provider....as soon as I get back into my account...whenever that might be..

I was charged 3 times for one payment
I was charged 3 times for one payment, got a refund of £2.38 instead of £54.68 and was cut off, fobbed off, and generally treated like an idiot by all the staff I've tried to talk to. They even tried to blame the bank. If I can find out how to transfer my website to another host, I'm off!
Worse then TSOHost, more than useless
I'm more than disappointed. Firstly locking me out of my own web server after sending me account confirmation emails to I can't access because they're hosted on the web server I can't get on to. Our system was down for a week until I finally managed to get through to another person on the support desk who was able to sort it.
Now I find that I can't send emails to any gmail accounts because they are being blocked, something to do with SPF and DKIM. I contact 123reg via chat and they advise me to add a record so I ask how but they can't tell me.
I'm not a webhost support technician, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that their job? All I know was that the emails worked before I was moved to 123Reg and now they don't.

LOOKS LIKE REVIEWS SHOULD BE LEFT AGAINST "123 Reg" www_123-reg_co_uk, BUT THIS "123reg_com" IS ACTUALLY THE SAME COMPANY.
I've been with 123reg for years, and have had many domains registered with them.
I've used their email forwarding, web hosting and SSL services.
All had been fine until a few years ago, when they decided to limit the number of email forwards allowed (this happened mid-contract).
Their response to my protestations was that I could buy an add-on package (email hosting).
Then they decided to change the way the hosting worked and it was no longer possible to seamlessly host multiple domains on the same account (again this happened mid-contract).
When this changed, they changed my DNS settings, and moved some of my pages to 123-reg parking pages and broke some other DNS settings.
Their response to my protestations was that I could buy an add-on package (domain protection).
So I decided to move away from them to Ionos, moving most of my domains, and leaving a couple behind to lapse.
Whilst the ones I left behind were lapsing, they seem to have taken it upon themselves to remove / disable the mail forwarding completely (again mid-contract).
So I have had to set up a mail server and set an MX record to point to that instead so that I can receive emails until the domain lapses.
I've moved to Ionos for DNS hosting, and FastHosts for Web Virtual Server Hosting. Moving to Ionos (mid-contract) hasn't cost me any extra as the amount I pay simply extends the domain registration period. The simplest fasthosts virtual server, costs less for 5 years than 123-reg cost for 1 year, and if I use letsencrypt, I can get SSL for free.
So the best thing I can now say about 123-reg is that the move away from them went very smoothly.

Called on monday 24thFeb they told me i will be emailed back next day. week later 3rd March still nothing very bad company may be trying to steel websites ? 123 reg are owned by Go Daddy you need to contact GoDaddy to help you need to speak to them because on line they say they are not but on the phone they say that 123reg are owned by Go Daddy.

Please help I called 123 reg 4 times i got cut off 3 times when i said i want to complain two of the names where Stefan and John.
The 4th time i called the person called Robert said there is no complaint you have to login but i cant login because this is the problem I need to login to pay for my website. He said i have to call back tomorrow if i have not had a email.
So to make a complaint i need to login but cant login.
4 day and i loss my website so i have till friday 7thmarch 2025.

First of all, everyone here giving their experiences, hoping that 123-reg.co.uk might take notice, you are all leaving your reviews on the wrong 123-reg.
If you log in to 123-reg.co.uk you will see that they have 4 Trustpilot rating Excellent.
You need to copy your reviews and put them on Trustpilot 123-reg.co.uk reviews and not this 123-reg.com, then they will not get away with flaunting their 4 stars that they do not deserve.
I have the same issues, as most here complaining
I knew our hosting (transferred from TSOHOST to 123-reg) was going to expire in 2 weeks, so I tried to log in to our account, and could not.
I tried a password reset, and got the message that the email was not recognised. I phoned 123-reg.co.uk and they confirmed that the login email was correct and I shoud use account recovery.
This is when everything just stopped and no progress was made.
Eventually after many phone calls, tickets and more phone calls, many of them where the staff hung up on me (I was not rude and I simply asked to speak to the previous person I spoke to) the email hosting expired.
There is no way to pay for renewals without logging in to your account, and if you cannot, you lose everyting - this is rediculous.
So our accounts email, sales order email and all our staffs' email addresses were stopped and not accessible.
Not only that, but anyone sending emails to those addresses do not get a message telling them that the email was not delivered.
We have 4 domain names on this account and they will expire, and there is nothing we can do to prevent it, since we cannot pay for the renewals since we cannot log in.
Please make sure you copy your reviews from this 123-reg.com review to the Trustpilot 123-reg.co.uk reviews, so that 123-reg.co.uk can get the ratings they deserve.
We need to protect others from experiencing these terrible problems costing our companies money, losing websites and emails, and hopefully if they get a rating as low as the 1.4/5 like this 123-reg.com on this page, some people will think twice about using them, so that 123-reg.co.uk will clear up their mess first and help us.
After they have done that, then they can start rebuilding trust.
I hope all our negative reviews (if transferred to 123-reg.co.uk) will cause the company to resolve our serious issues, costing us a lot of lost sales revenue.

Locked out of account, do not use
Recently been migrated from TSOHost and all sudden the 2FA email has stopped being sent and we have been locked out of our account, avoid the company at all costs as they are unwilling to resolve the issue.
