Need to use chat to find out what each invoice relates to
The chat people won't even answer queries about why invoices cannot be accessed from the control panel, nor why invoices do not state which website the invoice relates to. You have to create a case for each invoice.
I have multiple websites on Godaddy and Fasthosts and their invoices can be easily accessed from the control panel and they all clearly state which website they relate to.
The scrappy and confusing way 123-reg is laid out is the reason that I haven't started any new domains or hosting on 123-reg since 2003, but I still have my pre-2003 websites hosted here. I have getting close to 100 now on the other hosts. I think it is a major issue with 123-reg, and there must be other people like me who don't want the hassle of the disorganised control panels and invoicing, which have been like this for several years.
When I raised this issue with 123-reg today, the response I got today was "OK, great".!

Renewed my subscription even though my account was closed
I was completely dissatisfied with the service provided by 123 Reg so transferred my domains and business to another provider. I requested that my account be cancelled and received confirmation for this. Today I received an email telling me that my hosting had been renewed!

Not as advertised
I have been with 123-reg for years, at least 15, when suddenly I stopped to receiving emails to my domain I was mainly using a catch all but have been informed that they know longer doing these unless you pay for email hosting package, this is fine it's all I really needed was for within for certain email addresses for my family. Today I tried to go into my control panel and am unable to find any email forwarding controls. On calling them I was informed the no longer do this without buying additional services and the domain no longer does forwarding. On looking up their sales site I'm interested to see under domain names "everything you need" and "setup multiple email forwarders". I have set up a complaint with the ASA and will be contacting trading standards for the Hays area as I believe they are not doing as advertised and have changed my contract mid-contract with no warning.

Support guy hung up, desperate to get us off the phone. He was sarcastic, which if it wasn't affecting my family and livelihood, would have been funny. No empathy that any issues affected our business. I have never experienced this before and will move away and never use 123 Reg again. If you value your time and business, do not use 123Reg.

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Absolutely shocking.
Only been registered with them since May but had issues from day one, the handful of customer service representatives I dealt with have all been SO rude- even had the phone put down on me by one of them as she couldn't be bothered to explain herself as she was talking to me in 'tech' language that I didn't understand!
Just had to call again this morning to explain I want to transfer to a new provider and even then he just put me back into the queue as couldn't be bothered to deal with my query. I'm fuming! Can't believe they're still going. Just about to transfer to IONOS who are so much more pleasant to deal with and couldn't be more helpful. Not wasting a penny more on 123reg!
Consistently Rubbish
The email 'migration' was a complete disaster, a full day of no emails in or out. 123 reg - migration overnight, weekend, out of business hours? Just a common sense suggestion. Password prompt on Outlook constantly popping up.

This effects my business as I don't know if emails are being delivered successfully and I don't know if I am receiving client emails.
Just setting up my MS365 account which costs about the same and I presume will be far more reliable.

I signed up in 2015 I cant even rememeber what for i run a business very busy and just thought it was my domain name reg every year nearly £200 coming out since 2016 for a domain ive never used. It was on auto renew and paypal I strongly advise anyone to remove the auto renew and the paypal authorisation for payments ive now paid substantial money for nothing.

They've ruined their business.
Used to be good, but shambolic recently. This "migration" project that they've started has completely ruined their service. What we got when we registered, isn't what we get now.
We've lost so many leads due to them going through some internal migration process that no customer ever wanted, that has resulted in email addresses we have set up disappearing from their database, email forwards breaking etc. Therefore we've lost 100s of emails from customers. This is not acceptable and I'd be suprised if their legal department isn't taking a battering from upset customers in the same position as me and many othe reviewers here.
They are also reducing their service offering as part of these "upgrades", imposing limits on the amount of email addresses you can set up with a domain etc. I don't get who this is for, since they are weakening their position in an already competitive space.
Their customer support must be inundated as a result, since their response times to tickets has become unbelievable.
Our IT team has around 30 domains with 123 reg, so migrating away is a mammoth task, but I think sadly it's something we will have to consider.
Absolutely terrible customer service
Absolutely terrible customer service. My business has been severely affected by my lack of email and website owing to 123reg. Two support tickets raised with no response whatsoever. Stress levels through the roof, business reputation damaged, and would never recommend them.

Awful, really gone downhill....
I have 5 domains with them and I keep being charged £1.79 monthly for them for a website builder package that I never signed up, I guess it was some sneaky thing included burried in small print somewhere.
I followed the instructions they gave to cancel but the drop down on the website doesn't work. So I called their overpriced telephone support line to have to spend god knows how long listening to an awful american accent computer voice for it then to just go dead.
So I thought I'd just delete my payment card from the website but where is that? I've looked everywhere in my account and can't find my payment details anywhere.
I'm switching my domains to elsewhere.
Lifetime support
Lifetime support, buy domain names now, we care, 123 reg not recommended. Good for a year of two after that total of rip off they've got you.
The email transfer has been a right…
The email transfer has been a right mess. Information from 123-reg is very sparse and unclear. They sent out instructions on how to set up Outlook which involved transferring from POP to Imap. These cover the server settings, however they have omitted to include instructions for changing the account to Imap. I have raised a support ticket but without response. I have also sent scam emails purporting to be from 123-reg to their scam email address, only for them to be rejected as possible junk. You couldn't make it up! These are just 2 recent examples. Having said that, it has worked most of the time over the last few years, so warranting 2 stars rather than one
Disappearing email addresses....
The migration that 123Reg notified their customers about has resulted in total chaos. One of my email addresses has totally disappeared and by law, one has to retain business correspondence for five years. So the issues that 123 Reg are having is impacting now on a legal footing. I suggest they get their house in order. I gave up waiting on their help line and the last ticket I raised was ignored.
Terrible Mess
I recently offered to help a customer set up their Emails on 123Reg. Worst control panel I have ever seen. The "migration" of their services seems to have gone horribly wrong. Setting up a simple Email account resulted in a "Something has gone wrong" message. Really? If you are thinking of buying from them, I would think again.
Horrific Support
Horrific Support. After waiting for 45 mins on the phone was just told by an extremely rude, non interested support member to wait for an email response to a ticket. A customer for 10 years and treated like I was such an inconvenience.

Razvan-Gabriel was very helpful and sorted my query out quickly, even sent images to take me through the process on the Control Panel.
Silviu also found a way around getting emails sent to email accounts that disappeared on migration!
Full marks to them, but not to 123Reg in general, which is still often a costly challenge to deal with. They never found all the emails that vanished in the migration from Domainmonster to 123Reg.
