Came out quick, within good time frame. The man who repaired machine was so good, kind and helpful. Repaired same day. Would reccomend zest for price of insurance compared to other companies too

Called on Wednesday to report a repair…

Called on Wednesday to report a repair was told somebody would call me tomorrow with an appointment so I called the next day to check upon it only need to be told that it hadn’t even been reported so report it again only to then get passed on to an account manager who’s very pushy trying to sell me more insurance when they haven’t even done the job that I’m requesting. I left domestic in general to come to zest under a good recommendations but so far not particularly a happy customer. I’m now three days with a broken washing machine only to be told someone may get in touch on Monday

The engineer was superb

The engineer was superb. Communicated exactly when he was coming because the part needed to be ordered and he completed the work efficiently.

Repair took four visits over 5 weeks

Repair took four visits over 5 weeks. Parts had to be reordered. Once the machine was fixed , I was due to get a call from customer services to make sure I was happy with the repair outcome. Customer Services didn't call. Still waiting......

The guy came and fitted a new heater…

The guy came and fitted a new heater element in my oven. Zest are marvellous and they sorted everything out for me next day. Very efficient. Thank you.

Being a new customer to Zest I was…

Being a new customer to Zest I was sceptical it couldn't meet my previous competitors who I was with but I took the plunge and changed and never looked back. Great customer service, engineers very efficient. Couldn't be happier with the service!

Started off poorly and with delays, but one person has kindly saved the day.

We have switched from D&G to save up to a tenner monthly and what a terrible mistake it was.
When our washer/dryer broke on Friday, I've completed an online form over the weekend. Had to chase on Monday to get this processed and managed to skip a step in the process (so I've been told), however it took me just under 40 mins to get through to someone (they offer a callback, but the point is, I cannot get easily through to the cust. services).
24 hours later, on Tuesday, they have assigned this to an engineer. I have proactively contacted them and arranged a visit on Wednesday afternoon. Engineer attended and it's a broken motor. The cost of the part is over the pre approved limit, so had to request permission from Zest. I have called Zest on Wednesday, in time before the next day delivery deadline, waited for 40 mins to get through, to be told, they don't yet see it in the system and I have to wait till Thursday morning at least for this to appear, when they can look into this. Called on Thursday afternoon, after 37 mins got through to someone, to be told, they have to put me through to the case manager. I was reassured it will only take 30 secs and I won't go back to the general queue. Waited another 7 mins, ended up hanging up, as had a work call to attend. No one bothered to call me back.
I don't have a choice now but to wait out the plan duration, but going back to D&G once this plan expires. The lack of customer updates and difficulty to get through to someone is not worth the saving.
Eventually spoke to Jake, who was very helpful and arranged a replacement washer/dryer.

The last time I've heard from the Replacements team was Thursday morning a week ago, with the two options of a replacement machine. I have returned the email back within a couple of hours. Since then, I've tried to get in touch with them, but been told they are not customer facing and they will call me back, but helpdesk assistant could not tell me when. We're basically held hostages now, sitting and waiting to hear from the replacements team. If I wanted to stop this whole process and order one from Currys today, with next day delivery, I cannot do that, as I'm unable to get in touch with the Replacements team and stop the process.

Bottom line: If the company responsible for your appliance cover isn't able to replace a broken down appliance within a 2 weeks span, there is no point in paying for the insurance.
I have since cancelled the cover for the other appliances we've had with Zest plan.

Bee from Zest has been in touch, apologised for the delays. She has been very empathetic of our situation and has done everything within her remit to reduce the impact on us as Zest' customers. We have received a 16% discount off the delivery/install/recycle fees (Currys total is £160 so I have still overpaid by £20) and financial compensation towards the remainder of the annual plan, so effectively offset the cost of the remaining months. This is excellent customer service and Bee proved that there are the right people working for Zest, but lessons must be learnt and Zest must improve in these key areas:
-customer communication needs to be clear and timely, keeping them up to date
-availability; t is not acceptable to be on hold for 30-40 mins to get through to a representative
-SLA and turnaround times must be shorter and should be clearly disclosed to the customers, to manage their expectations.
We now have a delivery date of the replacement washing machine (13th May), nearly 3 weeks without a washing machine, but thanks to Bee, at lease we now feel that Zest done their best to compensate for our not perfect experience and I do give Bee credit for that!

Seriously I'm not happy with zest


Seriously I'm not happy with zest. Our intergrated Electrolux/ aeg costing £700 at the time it's beyond repair, they are offering low grade models under £200. And having to pay aswell for delivery and extracosts. We have all appliances covered with domestic and general and thought would try zest. What a big mistake
