Still treated like a complete tw..t.
No information, no phone call , no email.
Car been back with them 2 months now , was sold a defective car.
Made complaint to finance company an told them to take car back , don't want it.
Now I'm debt with finance , bank balance down £4,500 and got no car.
Seeking legal advice now to resolve this , plus trading standards.

This kind of incentive undermines the trustworthiness of reviews and misleads future customers. Genuine experiences—good or bad—should speak for themselves, not be bought. I value transparency and honesty when choosing where to spend my money, and unfortunately, this approach raised serious concerns about integrity.”

Hi Mr Unkown, I'm not sure you have purchased a vehicle from Your Carsupermarket.
The 12-month AA breakdown cover is supplied to all our customers and on all our cars for no fee, this is clearly stated on our website. In no means is the AA breakdown cover used as a bargaining tool for a review.
Negative 1-star reviews can have a profound effect on our public profile and it seems unnecessary to post one and to speak about transparency when you haven't even purchased a vehicle from this Company.
The team at YCS has recently experienced a high volume of fake negative reviews and this just seems like another one.

My Honest Response to Your Car Supermarket’s Review
I feel it’s important to respond to Your Car Supermarket’s recent comments with clarity and facts, as their version omits key details.
1. Faults Reported Within 30 Days
I raised mechanical issues within the first 30 days of purchase. The dealership collected the car and kept it for 5 days but could not resolve the faults. As per their advice, I then obtained an independent repair quote — which they are now refusing to reimburse.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if a fault appears within 30 days, I am legally entitled to reject the vehicle or expect a full and proper repair. I gave the dealership every reasonable opportunity, but the issues remain unresolved.
2. Warranty Misrepresentation
My invoice clearly shows a “5 Star 3 Month Warranty”. Now the dealership claims I only received a “basic warranty worth £199” — this is completely contradictory. If the product was sold to me as “5 Star,” then I was entitled to rely on that level of cover.
To make matters worse, the £500 claim limit was not stated in the warranty document — only on the invoice. That is a serious omission and likely an unfair or unenforceable term under UK consumer law.
3. EGR Valve Diagnosis Ignored
An independent garage found that the EGR valve is failing and quoted £2,500 for replacement. The dealer dismisses this entirely, claiming the part hasn’t “completely failed” and that the vehicle “drives fine.” That’s not the point — selling a vehicle with a known major fault, especially one flagged immediately, is not acceptable.
4. Age Doesn’t Cancel Out Legal Protection
Yes, the car is 10 years old, but that does not mean it can be sold in unfit condition. Used vehicles — regardless of mileage — must still be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and match their description.

I simply expected fairness, transparency, and proper aftercare — none of which have been delivered. I’m now exploring further options through Trading Standards and other consumer protection bodies.

It seems like your honest opinion is not a true reflection of the current situation you have experienced. We have explained to you that if it's not a total failure of the manufacturing part, which you have confirmed on your diagnosis provided, then we can not replace it, unfortunately.
The details of our in-house warranty are clear and concise, with your claim limit clearly stated on your purchase invoice. If you were unclear on any aspect of the warranty documentation, you had ample time to confirm any details with one of our Customer service advisors before you finalised your purchase.
Furthermore, the vehicle was fully checked, road tested, and a Pre-Delivery Inspection report was present. You have claimed the vehicle is not fit for purpose, however, you have continued to drive the vehicle on a daily basis, accumulating mileage.

The branch manager, Jordan, was totally unprofessional. Despite being calm and polite when speaking to him he slammed the phone down on us, and then had the audacity to tell US that HE was stressed out by the situation! The car I had bought had a fault which they initially downplayed, but when presented with the recommendations from the main dealer, they took the car back to repair themselves. 3 weeks later, the car was returned to me and the fault reappeared. Then came the struggle to get my money back. Phone calls not returned, emails not replied to, being told that 'head office' was dealing with it, but not given a name or contact number. Getting them to communicate with me has been like trying to get blood out of a stone. When I gave up waiting for them to collect the car and took it back, I spoke with Jordan when I was 15 minutes away. He had left the site by the time I got there, leaving his (much more competent) staff to deal with me. Eventually got my money back, but it has been a horrid and stressful experience. Aftercare has been utterly abysmal. Steer well clear!

Had a problem with the car and it was taken back after just 1 day. The garage did lend us a courtesy car and eventually sorted the problem.
