Complete satisfaction with our new Composite Front Door
From the moment my wife and I stepped into the West Yorkshire Windows showroom in Wakefield, right through to the follow-up correspondence after the fitting, we were treated superbly by every employee to make sure we were completely satisfied with our new installation. A couple of minor issues were sorted out the day after the fitting, to ensure we were completely satisfied with our new composite front door, which looks immaculate. The choice of styles, colours and door windows was excellent, and the use of computer graphics helped us decide on the door we wanted… at a very competitive price.

Still waiting for building regulation 3 years after installation …
Still waiting for building regulation sign off after the best part of three years on our extension. Leeds city council inspector has rejected it due to inadequate depth of foundations. Despite hundreds of emails and calls we are getting nowhere. We’ve been passed on to different members of staff who have ignored us consistently and made every excuse under the sun.
The structure leaked last year and when we climbed up to see what the problem was, we found builders had discarded rubbish in the guttering; sealant tubes and other materials which should have been tidied up by workmen.
I have reported them to trading standards and have instructed a solicitor to pursue for breach of contract - £42k paid in full - this is totally unsatisfactory. Can’t move house until it’s signed off ☹️. I would hate for anyone else to go through the stress they have caused us.

Great build of an extension and very good aftercare.
Overall West Yorkshire windows have been very good.
My single story extension (approx 7m x 3m) has now being complete for around 10 months and I’m delighted with the end result.
Whilst there was some confusion on the agreed initial build between us, the end result and aftercare has been excellent.
A few teething issues as I expected but they have always been on hand to resolve.
Overall would recommend for sure.

Always give a fantastic service. Had an issue with French doors. Customer Services were so helpful and sent Richard out as soon as they could to sort the issue. Everyone I have ever come into contact with at West Yorkshire Windows have always been very professional and friendly.

Two Cancelled Installations, Broken Promises and Still No Refund
I placed an order with CO Home Improvements in June 2026 for a bespoke arched front door and paid the requested deposit, followed by a further stage payment of £4,962.40.
The installation was confirmed for 4 August 2026 but was cancelled following what I was initially told was a factory accident. A replacement installation date of 14 August was then confirmed, but that was also cancelled.
Despite having my order since June, it was only immediately before the second installation date that I was informed the factory could not manufacture the outward-opening arched door as one complete frame in the agreed configuration. I was instead presented with an alternative split-frame design involving a joint at the transom and a further estimated manufacturing period of six to eight weeks from approval.
It is difficult to understand how two installation dates could be confirmed before the company had established whether the agreed product could actually be manufactured.
The situation has been made considerably worse by the company’s communication. I have repeatedly been told that Simon from the Operations Team would contact me, including a specific commitment that he would call on an agreed day. No call was received. My emails appear to be continually forwarded internally, leaving me to repeatedly chase for basic answers.
I was also told in writing that my £4,962.40 stage payment would be refunded promptly. After receiving no confirmation, I contacted the Accounts Team myself and was told that the refund had not been processed because they had not even been made aware of it. Had I not contacted Accounts directly, I have no idea how long I would have continued waiting for money I had already been told was being refunded.
I am also still waiting for confirmation about whether the factory can offer an acceptable single-frame solution. Meanwhile, nobody with sufficient authority appears willing to take ownership of the matter, address the two cancelled installation dates or properly respond regarding the considerable inconvenience caused.
Customers purchasing an expensive bespoke entrance should be able to expect a company to establish that the agreed product can be manufactured before taking substantial payments and confirming installation dates. They should also expect clear communication and senior management accountability when serious problems arise.
Based on my experience so far, the service, communication and internal coordination have been completely unacceptable. I will update this review if and when the company refunds my stage payment and provides a satisfactory resolution.

Local company who fit great products at competitive prices
From sales, surveyor and fitter…all were knowledgeable, and helpful plus had a great sense of humour which I believe goes a long way. The fitting went very well given that one engineer/fitter had to fit the double patio one story from the ground on a balcony. He made sure all was immaculate once he’d finished. He explained how the locks and vents worked.
To sum up…..a great product from a superb local company.

Fantastic workmanship , product and price
Great first impressions from my first phone call to West Yorkshire Windows. I was greeted by a very bright , friendly and helpful lady. Followed up by friendly informative surveyor. We wanted a window installing into a stone wall. The stone /mortar was extremely hard to break through to put it mildly. The two very pleasant lads grafted so hard but they did it. They made a beautiful job of it all and their workmanship was perfect , we are so impressed. Plastering and finishing off also perfect. The product and price no complaints whatsoever.
